#saileshkolanu is a research scientist , who went in to do academics and then decided to direct his first film. Prior to that, a lot of learning had to take place.
In this video , Sailesh gives a lot of #filmmaking tips , especially how to frame the structure of a story. using a lot of films from #tollywood as an example.

Break into four 30min * 4 ~ 2hr story
ACT 1
1st 30min -
opening scene ,
catalyst/inciting incident -(story starts) , then
conflict or plot point 1 -should start at the end.
ఒక్కడు - set up the protagonist (Godava, family, profession) , kurnool travel (catalyst), set up the antagonist , fight (pp 1)
ACT 2
Journey of protagonist to solve the problem
To hook the audience
Pinch 1 - brings bhoomika
Interval/midpoint - hero is hiding the girl suspense
Pinch 2 -father finds out girls hiding
Plot point 2 - cracked the solution to the problem
Drop heroine at Airport , kabaddi match to win..(all subplots to resolve)
ACT 3
Hope -
All is lost - jail
Rise
Final conflict n resolution
