I am in the midst of discovering myself. But to add to this amazing ladies’ reasons to wake up each morning to your loved ones’ I would say just the opportunity to grow old together too… wishing you happiness!
Re what people's relationships look like from the outside: Since getting divorced (do not recommend), I've been astonished by how many of my married (mostly straight, incidentally) friends have opened up to me about their marriages. Do not believe anything you see on Instagram, women are unhappy, you guys. It's like I've become this beacon of sadness that they can vent to! So yeah, it is a miracle that there are people in happy relationships, because I am seeing the veil lifted. It's putting me off looking to date again, quite honestly. I'll stick to my yoga and pottery classes.
Very impressed with both of your high levels of emotional intelligence! Building a successful relationship takes a lot of work. I think sharing the same core values is a key requirement to make it work. I've been with my wife for 30 years. (I'm 65 years old now and she is 76.) We've had highs and lows but through it all we know that we get as much out of the relationship that we put into it.
I so relate to your comment. I've been married to my wife for 38 years; I am sixty-eight and she is eighty. Nothing is ever perfect, but we have always made it a habit to never go to bed angry or, if we have had a disagreement, to apologise and move on. We are friends first and foremost who are in love with each other.
Well said! Given that we are of the ages that we are, with our own mortality and that of our spouses, clearly staring us in our faces, we know that life is too short to spend any time angry at each other. I wish for us all lots of love, laughter and light! @@bertieborough
My ex also said "I need to grow as a person and finish therapy before going into a relationship." We were dating for 3 years and it was devastating for me because I had unconditional love toward her. But the thing is you can grow with someone in a relationship if you choose to do that it is possible. But fast forward to 3 years later, I know we weren't meant to be together. Still single but happier than ever!
I can totally relate to you. But it kind of bothers me that only in female relationships this is the reason for a break up. I never ever heard this in a straight/ gay relationship. They're able to work it out together. It feels to me that our generation is so obsessed with being mentally stable that they totally lost the focus for another human being. I'm so sick of dating the right woman and in the end we break up again because of a fixable reason.
@@liarunaway Women do this, I heard women get a divorce for this stupid reason. I think it's just a reason they give, not the real reason. The real reason is usually that they don't love you anymore or they don't think you're compatible anymore and want someone better. Mostly women give this reason.
@@liarunawayyeah for sure. and it's funny, because part of mental stability is having stable relationships. it can be very self-involved to only focus on your own mental health.
Myself a lesbian who came out just last year only to a few online friends... I am 34, single, and never been in any relationship 😢😢never been attracted towards men ...only women since teenage
Kind of in the same boat. 29, just came out to family and friends a little over a month ago. For the longest time I thought I was just asexual bc I was never interested in men. But just wanted to comment to let you know you’re not alone. Hopefully you find your person ❤
So loved this interview. My favorite yet. Love the question and love the fact that you give them time to. And you have the greatest laugh I love it. Keep on doing what your doing. As always thanks for taking us along for the ride.
ohh my goodness i've been listening to chelsea for 3 years (+ she was my top artist in 2022!) and i've been listening to the pod from the first episode, SO immensely hyped for this crossover
I volunteer at a cat sanctuary. If I died sitting there petting a cat or 2 ,or 3, I would have that same feeling. There's also other people there. We are there to love, and I can't think of a better place!
I have been listening to Chelsea’s music for a while and I found out she is performing in SD. So I have been thinking of going to see her perform but I don’t have anyone to go with :(
You can tell Chelsea is an artist because she talks like a artist talks & I wish I was half as passionate. Sorry but I have ADD and had to keep rewinding to catch what she said cuz my brain was login off
Lol the couple who won marriage or mortgage was one of my best friends sons' Braxton and his fiance. That's so funny you mentioned that. Another good one!!😊
Dog sharing the pillow U-Haul…my guy has his own pillow and blanket! He occupies the right side of the bed but occasionally scoots over and we share a pillow while laying back to back…if you can’t accept this, it’s a U Ghost for me
I think you're thinking of the carnivore diet. Not a fan of Keto, but allowed are: - meat/fish - dairy - eggs - a lot of veggies (in amount and variety) - some fruit (low sugar, low amount) - spices - sauces - fat sources (butter, oil, avocado, seeds/nuts, etc.) It's recommended to take breaks. It's basically meant to get and keep you in ketosis and to eat under a certain amount of carbs. Everything else is fine to eat.
Mal is such a great host with inquisitive yet respectful questions!! How does she do it so eloquently?!
Hearing the feelings you have with your partner for a few years is refreshing and makes me thankful of my wife and our 36 years together.

I love how you, Chelsea, proceed and reflected yourself and the relationship. And Mal, you are so charming when you listen to your guest attentively!

I have a similar story, except I am still not out and thought I was asexual at first. Just know you are not alone 🏳️🌈
