Let's remember that the One Decision™ that was the nexus event for this universe wasn't Stephen going back in time. That happened later. It's that Christine decided to forego her Strange Policy and say yes to joining him for the event. With that, she cemented her place in this universe as the cause of Strange's journey into sorcery, so any attempt he'd make at using sorcery to prevent it would cause a paradox, so this universe won't allow it. Which means there are two things to learn from this episode: 1. Don't fall in love, it breaks your heart *and* your mind. 2. Don't date people named Strange.
I think the original choice that created this universe was that Strange chose not to be an absolute douchebag in this reality. If he had been the asshole we know, Christine would never have agreed to go with him. But because he decided to be a decent human being (as is evidenced by his behavior toward Christine) the only way for him to be put on the path to becoming a sorcerer was to take away the only thing he loved. In this reality the only thing he loved was Christine so she had to die. In the 616 reality, the only thing that Strange loved was his career so he had to lose his hands. So really, Strange being a self-centered prick in our reality saved Christine's life.
@@urikorsikov843 I don't think being a prick is a choice, that's his personality. Christine said yes in this universe *in spite* of him being a prick; he softened up through his relationship with her, not before it.

This series is getting better and better. And DARKER. I’m kinda worried about what’s coming next…
Next episode is basically an animated adaptation of Marvel Zombies. How is that for dark?
This is the darkest and saddest story told in the MCU yet.
“I’d absorb anything for love, yes I’d absorb that....yes including that...”
After that intro, I gotta tell a story. I was born a week and some change after my closest cousin. He was chunky and stout. I was long and I’m now 6’5, unlike him at 5’9. Our great grandpa named us “sumo and stretch.”
I didn't watch it until after six at night. Um, it doesn't change that you feel bleak and kind of like you want to cry but then are like, why?
Just makes me happy our Stephen lost his hands.. and you know not went insane
My favorite mcu hero is doctor Strange so i might be bias...but this was my favorite episode yet :) How did this short story give me so much emotions in the end.
10:53 Lets face it: Wong is the true Mrs Strange in this relationship. Stephen reverse time and bring Wong back from the dead but Not Tony Stark, no way.
Like Ironman said, "We messed with time... it tends to mess back!"
Just so you know that librarian is cagliostro
Every episode keeps topping the last. Damn Marvel has hit a home run with this show. This is easily my favorite episode by far. And can we talk about how beautiful this animation is
I'm sure the demon gnome tasted like a Christmas cookie
You guys bring me so much laughter and happiness, thank you for these videos :)
As a side note...youtube closed captioning says music the first time Adam says buck meat because Jay is humming lol.
You guys were soooo silly and funny and chatty at the start of this and it just made me think "Oh no, they have *no* idea what they're in for..." 😬😬😬
If love is Wong, I don’t wanna be Strange.
After watching Jay, I realize I need a Macho Man librarian. "OOoooh brother, your reservation JUST CAME THROUHg Oh YEAH BROTHER!"
16:20 Mephisto CONFIRMED!!!
“A hero would sacrifice you to save the world. A villain would sacrifice the world to save you.” I knew that quote but the episode made me FEEL that quote
I cried watching the episode at 11 am, and I cried again watching this review..... My heart can't handle any more tears 😭😭😭
But I also feel this Doctor Strange could be the Doctor Strange for Spider Man: No Way Home because it would explain why he was so willing to use that spell for Peter 🤯🤯
Tristram theme…One Winged Angel. You guys are after my heart ❤️
