Thank you so much for these! I’m going to Portugal next month and am adding ALLLLL of the places you’ve suggested to my list! Grateful for your content!💋
I’m so glad you find them helpful! If you have any questions about traveling to Portugal let me know, planning to do a travel tips to Portugal video soon :)
Hey great video i really enjoyed it i can see you put a lot of work into it. I love Porto so much ive been 13 times so far. I try and go twice a year. Its amazing and beautiful and I've made friends there over the years. I fell in love with the place instantly it feels like a second home. My favourite thing about the place is the relaxing vibe and the people are so friendly.
I always have to watch your videos twice: once for the beautiful views and to write down all the activities and once for the fashions. I swear I can't get enough! The BEST!!!
Great video! Thanks so much for putting it together and sharing your experience. I see you have a selfie stick, but it’s not showing up in your video. Is it a certain stick brand you are using or how is it you remove it from showing up in your video? TIA
It’s actually an insta360 camera! The camera shoots 360 degrees and it stitches out the selfie stick so that you don’t see it. They just released the insta360 x4 and it looks incredible:
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed and so excited to be visiting Porto for the first time in a few days. I have one question: where you able to use the Porto card (aside from the metro train, I assume)? Not sure if it's worth it to get one or not, especially since it seems a good advice to buy some of the tickets ahead of time. I'll be there for a day and a half, then 3 days in Lisbon and again 2 days in Porto.
I think you need to look on the Porto card site and see if it’s a benefit to you and the places you wanna see! We found it to be worth it with just the public transportation access alone
I'll be visiting Porto for a second time in a couple of months, so this was really handy to get some ideas & inspiration, thank you! As an aside, how do you style your hair? It looks gorgeous! 💜
Glad I could give you some new ideas! And thank you! I use a curling wand from ghd most the time, this video shows how I do it…it’s an old one so def not my current video quality haha th-cam.com/video/_Vgnz5Gl9Uw/w-d-xo.html
My beloved Porto is not a city for vegies. With that said, we have a rule that basically says that our visitors can't leave on empty stomachs. I hope you enjoyed yourselves in Porto.
I didn't like Porto. For me it was a sad, dark and depressing city. But then I realised that Porto is trying to deceive me. It took almost 20 years to do so. As the song roughly translated says: "That look of yours severe and serious in a singing face, that hides the mystery of that shadowing and beautiful light".
With the porto or Lisbon cards, do you have to pick them up before you can reserve tickets to sights, like the library? What time of summer did you go? Did you have trouble booking sights? Thanks!
No. So specifically, the bookstore in Porto is not part of the Porto card. You have to book tickets to that regardless, and having the Porto card will not give you any advantage or discount there. Make sure to go the websites for each card to get the full details (just google Porto card or Lisbon card). They’re more for like, museums and monuments, like churches etc, and for also free use of the public transport. They will also get you discounts to some other attractions but nowhere that you’d need to book a ticket in advance
It’s the insta360! It’s a 360 degree camera that has a selfie stick that screws into the bottom of It and it stitches the stick out of the shot for you. It’s amazing!
You purchase it, either online or in the tourist office, and you can discounted or free admission to lots of the sights in Porto, as well as free access to their public transportation, excluding the trolleys that are tourist tour trolleys. You purchase the pass for however many days you will be in the city. Hope that helps!
Not at all. Pretty much everyone we came in contact with in Portugal spoke great English, some people spoke a little but enough for us to communicate, and the one man I did meet who didn’t speak any, we communicated with each other via google translate. I will say, compared to Lisbon and the cascais/Sintra area, porto was probably where I encountered the most people who spoke little to no English but it was still pretty rare to find that and again, you can find ways to communicate especially if you have google translate on your phone
In big cities not at all. If you go to Inland Portugal it's a bit more complicated. Most younger Portuguese people do have some kind of English fluency but that doesn't mean they speak a perfect English.

BTW... visit us in June. The night of June 23th to 24th is the biggest night you won't believe the party it happens.

I have to know, do you use a stick to record and you edit it out or is it some other contraption?

Excellent video! What hotel did you stay at?
Can you please explain how does the Porto Card work? heading to Porto and Lisbon in a month, excited!!!

What is the name of the place you drank port and had truffles?
That was in our hotel, casa da companhia!
por aqui não passa a procissão, não é preciso limpar...
Is it difficult getting around not speaking the language?
