Sound Foundation Entertainment It is so refreshing to find true musical talent in the this world of hype ! I am their #1 fan. I still thank Pete Thorn for introducing us.
Great song. I wouldn't say Ian and these guys are underrated (anyone who's heard them gets it) but they are criminally under recognized/unknown to too many.
They got a ton of airplay back when they released "in loving memory" in the boston area...saw them.live once but then they seemed to drop off the face of the earth...shame...they are awesome
@brotherscoobs: Lead singer/guitarist Ian Thornley also has his side project band called “Thornley” that he put a lot of time & effort into back in the early to mid 2000’s & “Big Wreck” took a back seat for a number of years so a lot of people were unaware of that & thought he had vanished. I was fortunate enough to have seen “Thornley” live twice, once in Windsor & London,Ontario & I’ve seen “Big Wreck” 3-4 times in Windsor & London as well. Ian Thornley is absolutely amazing at both singing & his guitar 🎸 skills are off the scale. Ian went to music school in Boston & that’s where he met his future band mates & go onto form “Big Wreck” 🤘 Ian Thornley is like the Canadian version of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden~Temple Of The Dog & Audioslave but with much better guitar skills 😃 with all due respect to Chris Cornell.
That solo composition is unreal. I usually tune out on solo's that go more than 8 bars but this one really draws you in...Ian's talent is only outshined by his commitment to songcraft.
Hats off to David on the bass, well to all of you guys because you are all amazing musicians but the bassist just took off like a rocket at 2:20 and deserves a standing ovation. Well done mister bass man, well done.
Love this song, moved into my top 10 favorites of all time, thanks to Canada, the first Rush now Big Wreck, what I have been missing all this time. Better late than neverrrrrrrrrr...........
Sadly, the American music industry has always ignored Canadian talent. Don't know why. Canadian bands will be known around the world before Americans ever hear of them, It's too bad. You missed out on some really great music
Big Wreck, Please o Please release this as a Blu Ray / CD combo pack. Your fans crave live recordings. The Live shreding is just too good not to relase.
Seriously! I can't feel my face! These guys are professional face melters! From chills to devil horns...Big Wreck is a ride I don't ever want to get off of.
This is how all their LIVE videos should be produced. The bass is fat, but super tight, guitars are clear, but very liquid and the vocals are properly balanced and focused. It sounds fantastic on my PSB Image 4T speakers and amplified through my NAD C340 integrated amplifier. If Ian Thornley heard this in my living room, he would fall on his ass. It sounds that good and the song is so well written. Thank you guys.
MuristekTV I running through a NAD T758 and Paradigm Monitor 11s yadayada...songs and recordings like this remind me why I dumped cash into a good sound system.
ThunderDoME I can't imagine a life without a decent stereo system. Music is a very important part of my life. I wish more musicians would care about good sound.
sometimes i wonder why didn't youtube doesn't invent a 'like' button that I can press, I don't know, like about 436 times. This would be one of those times.
We saw these guys in Campbell River, BC a couple of months ago and they were fantastic (as expected). Insanely talented and absolutely fabulous songs. I agree with Gabriel - these guys are superstars but somewhat unknown because that's how effed up the music industry is now. The guitarist on the right passed recently, sadly. His voice and guitar chops were outstanding.

So there's one more wound to cauterize And there's one more fix behind the eyes Here's hopin' it cuts me down to size Is it imagination or jealousy? My intuition failing me? I'm gonna throw up from so much pride! As an idiot smiles And comments on your eyes He's never gonna know What we've been through He'll never open you As I digress, I need tenderness As I digress Don't let 'em in Just one last thing before you go I don't trust myself when no one's home Unlock the pearls inside my head It's all inside my head Another idiot smiles And comments on your eyes Whoever he is, he don't know you As I digress, I'm in such a mess As I digress He'll never open you As I digress, I need tenderness As I digress You let 'em in And then a gentleman smiles And comments on your eyes Whoever he is, he don't know Maybe I'm a little unstable in your eyes That's valid, but I can't get over you The only one for you As I digress, I'm in such a mess As I digress He'll never open you As I digress, is there tenderness As I digress The only one for you As I digress, is there tenderness As I digress Don't let 'em in
They are just shredding the end! But they don't go all flamboyant "rock god" with the manerisms. They are just a damn fine band having a damn good time. The joy is infectious!

Wow. The work you put in to live performance really pays off. The whole band is incredible. What a fantastic live recording too. This is probably Canada's greatest bands right now!
@@person4456 Tool is my favorite band ever with Soundgarden coming in a close 2nd mainly because of the late great Chris Cornell. I had never heard of Big Wreck/Ian Thornley until I discovered "Hay Mama" in 2018 & it blew me away. I slowly but surely dug back through their catalogue to now have Ian as one of my Top 5 All-Time favorite singer/songwriter/musicians. Ian seems to be in a groove songwriting wise since the release of "7" & the new "Pages" EP. I think it's their/his best work since "Ghosts" & that's really saying a lot because I think "Grace Street" is mind blowing!
mr John Suhr, i would love to see this full concert on my 105" tv with 3000 wats of holy fuck i'll shave your head with out using cutters type sound. please if you have it available post the full concert! thank you.
A clinic in string bending and pipes like nobody’s business. The whole package.
I don’t know about anyone else, but that bass riff at 2:21 broke my mind. 🤯 Quality = Big Wreck. Big Wreck = Quality. 🤘
OMG Can’t wait until the 29th at the Commodore ballroom🎉
Jawdroppingly brilliant, and virtually unknown in the UK. Incredible live mix too. Tight AF!
Whoever did the live mixes for these Suhr shows I'd like to give you a big kiss
Same
Love these guys !!! It was a blast having them.
Thank YOU John!
They rock. What made you get them for your show? A bad this great deserves more success.
John Suhr You have amazing taste!

HouseofChains81 They didn't tour anywhere near me. What else was I supposed to do ! ;-)
Great song. I wouldn't say Ian and these guys are underrated (anyone who's heard them gets it) but they are criminally under recognized/unknown to too many.

Nailed it…
A Rhush fan page brought me here… just a few minutes ago
second song I hear and I’m pretty much hooked already…
WHY ARE THEY NOT THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD?
Exactly like King's X! So good and so underated....
agreeeeeeed!!!!
only thing is BW is 1000 times better than King's X
Took the words right out my mouth. Fucking incredible musicians.
Gabriel Frison they are to me 🤘😊
Mind blown!
That solo composition is unreal. I usually tune out on solo's that go more than 8 bars but this one really draws you in...Ian's talent is only outshined by his commitment to songcraft.
Man, I was worried about the backing vocals as they’re such a big part of the song, but they are crushing it. RIP Brian
Hats off to David on the bass, well to all of you guys because you are all amazing musicians but the bassist just took off like a rocket at 2:20 and deserves a standing ovation. Well done mister bass man, well done.
That bass lick in the studio version too I believe. Kickass bassist

Sick, sick, sick guitar players, from stage left all the way to the right. That final 20 secs, though. 🤯 🔥 🎸
Sounding even better than the album version, nice
Seriously fucking with it ..
Seriously better than the album, that almost never happens with live music.
Seriously! I can't feel my face! These guys are professional face melters! From chills to devil horns...Big Wreck is a ride I don't ever want to get off of.
Holy shit that was mental!!

MuristekTV those who don't care about good sound are not those I would call musicians....
+MuristekTV Can confirm, listening through my Genelecs in a treated room. The mix is A+.
Another FANTASTIC band that doesn't get the credit they deserve!, what a voice!

I love it. Every new song is my favourite
THAT'S IT! YES!!
It's like every one of my top 10 guitar solos is in this set lmao
Instinkin' real.
I meant unstinkin' real. Anyone could understand their talent! Amazing!
So there's one more wound to cauterize
And there's one more fix behind the eyes
Here's hopin' it cuts me down to size
Is it imagination or jealousy?
My intuition failing me?
I'm gonna throw up from so much pride!
As an idiot smiles
And comments on your eyes
He's never gonna know
What we've been through
He'll never open you
As I digress, I need tenderness
As I digress
Don't let 'em in
Just one last thing before you go
I don't trust myself when no one's home
Unlock the pearls inside my head
It's all inside my head
Another idiot smiles
And comments on your eyes
Whoever he is, he don't know you
As I digress, I'm in such a mess
As I digress
He'll never open you
As I digress, I need tenderness
As I digress
You let 'em in
And then a gentleman smiles
And comments on your eyes
Whoever he is, he don't know
Maybe I'm a little unstable in your eyes
That's valid, but I can't get over you
The only one for you
As I digress, I'm in such a mess
As I digress
He'll never open you
As I digress, is there tenderness
As I digress
The only one for you
As I digress, is there tenderness
As I digress
Don't let 'em in
GDam that wus goood
What song didn't they play at this show!?
I understand why they haven't release this on blu-ray, it would be a 6 - Disc Box Set!
Just fuckin phenomenal...nothing more to say.
This is why BW has been my 1#band for 20 years! That friggin solo 😳❤️🤘
4:29 I swear to God, Paulo looks so badass yet is an absolute cinnamon roll
erik stuchlý it seems that Brian is the technician and Paulo is the secret weapon- sings great too
Dave around 2:20. Woah.
absolutely INCREDIBLE....Seen them live 3 times, and they are the best band I have ever heard live bar NONE
Chris Cornell? Sounds great!!
S.F.G.
Damn. This is incredible.
Lame how the camera pans just off Dave just as he's ready to rip that sick bass fill in the middle. Long-time fan of these guys - killer band.
It doesn't get any better than Big Wreck y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always melting my face! #TXlovesBW
They are just shredding the end! But they don't go all flamboyant "rock god" with the manerisms. They are just a damn fine band having a damn good time. The joy is infectious!
How does this sound better than the record? =0 minds blown
Fuck man!.

You can ask who has made better albums than Ian in the last 20 years
This is by far one of the best songs Big Wreck has ever written. And that ending solo was just over the top! WOW
You know what's crazy. If you ask normies, they probably think Big Wreck are one hit wonders!

I'm 43 and been listening to them since HS. I wish they tour our small venues in Charlotte. I've never seen them live 😢
One of my favourite voices in rock. These guys are talented to pull that off live. Love it.
@3:00 AWESOME
A.W.E.S.O.M.E!

Dat hybrid-picked solo doh.
Great sound, great voice, great band. I wait for you in Italy!
I've always loved Big Wreck, but damn. Just, Damn... I feel like I'm in 1997 again. The dueling/twin/doubling guitars, holy shit.
That solo though...
My mind is Blown Wide Open!
Insane bass solo!!!!!!!!
w3rrd heard these guys on q104 Halifax in 2002 rediscovered them in 2018 , at 61 I think it is some of best music I have ever listened t o

F*ck I love Ian.. .lol
I have a serious man-crush on this guy. So, so talented, such great songs it's uncanny
cool bass riffage starting at 2:14
Absolutely the most impressive live sound mix since Fleetwood Mac's "The Dance". Just a tiny bit more to the drums and it'd be absolutely perfect.
Best ending to a song ever!!!
And this is the first number! Cold start to MOLTEN finish!
