Hi guys! Some of you were asking why Naima was not shown in this video. The rules for monetization are so strict (with what is advertiser friendly) and her outfit was basically topless - her hand covering her chest. So unfortunately I had to remove her segments from the video. Naima had a super cool look and did an AMAZING job though, her photos were so pretty!!

They honestly didn’t need to lower them into the grave, easily could have just had an eerie setup. Or if they really wanted the headstones they could have done a really cool theme of different ethnicities remembrance of the dead...looking at holidays like Dia de Los Muertos...they did not need to traumatize the models. They photographer was so awkward

I had to reply to your comment, because I want you to see it : they eddited all the walls of the grave in each photo. During the shoot they were drapes around the coffin, and not dirt , they could have done all the pics in studio, they have reconstructed the grave around them

Even if they didn't know this poor girl's friend passed away, it still seems like such a weird, disrespectful photoshoot. The fact that it's in an actual cemetery, the fact that they're put in a coffin, eight foot in the ground, etc. It feels insensitive. I also think it was a terrible coincidence (there are 7 sins, it makes sense that they would use it when they have 7 models), but they should have let her go home or at the very least, let her grieve in the van without the cameras. I also feel like they didn't need an 8 foot grave to actually do this. They just needed a dark background.

Yes!!! That’s why they also want them to be very young.
And it works not only for them. Whenever there is a video like that there will be someone commenting saying „well, they signed up for that“ „well they want to be models“ „well when they are in the real world, having a real job, they also can’t say they don’t want to do it“, creating this toxic idea of models actual consent meaning nothing and them having to obey everything an agency or photographer wants from them.

I did some modeling for a couple real small businesses. Definitely the difference between a good photographer and a bad one (when taking pictures of people) is communication. Worst photographer I ever worked with was, well, not quiet because she talked a lot but nothing about what we were actually doing. When I tried asking her for suggestions she replied, "I don't know, you're the model". She ignored me replying, "yea, but you're the one looking at the picture" and continued talking about something else. Also only shot from one angle (her standing). After finally getting the photos too late to use them (clothes were all fall style and didn't get the pictures until spring) the business never used that photographer again

They had a challenge before the shoot where there was a party and they were supposed to represent themselves as models in front of “VIP’s”. Brittney drank and drank and got wasted at the party. That’s what old dude was commenting about.

That was a different episode. This episode, the challenge was an E.T. mock interview

I don’t really know what putting them in the ground added to the photo.. it only adds to the dramatics for the show. They easily could have created an “in the ground” look in editing and/or on a set.

your content is A plus!!! ugh amazing amazing content. unlike the judges and tyra, you actually provide constructive criticism and helpful tips. you were what the show needed. and to even see from a photographers point of view, its a team effort. model and photographer. their photo shopping skills are sad now that you point it out, crew and photog. should have done better. wow wow wow, watching this show when i was younger and now seeing you completely dissect the whole show is amazing. love this series. thanks for your content and teaching us!! You can truly see how rigged this show was. if they wanted to send someone home they could, they could pick the worst photo, photographers not directing, judges not providing actual feedback for them to improve. this whole show was a mess and scam and they treat the models terribly. having you go back and use your knowledge to point out their mistakes and what they could improve upon is a cultural reset. chefs kiss !!!!

This is actually one of my favorite shoots from ANTM, out of EVERY season. Problematic but the final images are stunning.

If u want to get haunted I recommend doing something as disrespectful as this. Imagine trying to rest and then next to you is a parade of girls pretending that death is cute. I would haunt the hell out of these producers on set

Same. I mean, I don't even step on graves in a graveyard. That feels disrespectful, never mind this.

Yeah I don't understand why they had to do it IN a graveyard.. it's not like the graves around are showing up in the photographs.. if anything, do it in a random field or something

Thank you for making educational content for photographers like me while also validating the models - I remember this shoot vividly, and I was incredibly uncomfortable.

I guarantee you that someone put on their bio they had a phobia of being buried alive. And when the one girl had a friend who died, it was a blissful coincidence for the production team.

I think it was coincidental, but they also milked everything they could about the situation and I doubt that they only discovered later in the episode.

I think at that time, they didn't know that Kahleen's friend just died because it happened few days after she got the news. In Cycle 8, Jael's friend just died and a week later, they made a photoshoot about making the model playing dead! Isn't that too far?
They never learn their lesson like in Cycle 4, they make a blackface photoshoot and in Cycle 13, they do it again for biracial photoshoot!

i mean the house phone they use the producers can hear everything that they talk about so they had to have known. They couldve easily taken this out of the show and thought of something else quick. But they need the drama and they found the perfect opportunity.

This whole photoshoot could have been in a cute little chapel set. They totally set this up. The shoot wasn't about death. It was supposed to be about the sins but they had to put them in coffins for the death aspect of it.
