She said it was so dehumanizing and traumatizing that she got ptsd from it and is still working it through therapy. It's really difficult to watch that clip now.

I think it'd be nice if Tyra had a season of ANTM where she, the two Jays, Nigel, the producers and some ex-judges all came together to do each and every single one of these challenges and instead of getting sent home each week they're ranked so they all get to enjoy doing all of them and whoever gets first place at the end gets to pay the least in a lawsuit created by all of the top model contestants. Last place has to shell out millions of dollars and/or go jail and first place has to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars and/or go to jail. :)

So, the tower does let tourist walk around the outside while in those harness' but, they closed the tower that day because of the weather, so that tells you how safe it was that day.

It seems completely immoral to send someone home based on a challenge that plays on a really common fear. They can say "this is what it takes to be a model" all they want but models don't have to take the jobs that will put them in dangerous positions and ANTM should be giving them the same freedoms.
The girl who went out first was so brave and I appreciate how I'm pretty sure it was the photographer who gave her a hug and told her how good she did and really supported her and then Mr Jay's like not happy with anything that she did within her comfort zone
Yes they could do where the models and the photographers switch so the models take the pictures and the photographers are the models. That would be neat to watch.

It’s funny you say that, because Tyra has said In Multiple of occasions, even on the show, that you need to know your boundaries and when to say no. She even talks about how Tyra would bring her mom to shoots and runways because her momma would keep her safe from doing things she didn’t want to do...Like nude photography. Tyra was a full on hypocrite. Her career as a model wasn’t even that important in the industry like say Naomi was.
Turns out she wanted leave in the beginning but no one said anything how they would do it. So Alisha told ebony she was safe because she told them before judging that she was done for good. It hurts to see her cry because they did her wrong.

Yeah being tall and thin, I've had gusts of wind almost carry me before. That shoot is insanely dangerous without a harness! I guess the cord they had would stop them from falling, but imagine how freaky that would be if it came to that.
I'm not that tall but I am thin and this has happened to me. I once had to cling to a tree because I was going downhill and the wind was picking me up and dragging me. Can't even imagine being that high up, the wind would be crazy strong.

I saw an interview of one of the girls, and she talked about her leaving the show. After they left, they were taken to a hotel. They shared a room, and spent a great deal of time weeping together. Definitely traumatized.

All for entertainment, because I’ve seen plenty of girls say after the show they were shunned by the modeling community, they could barley get work. It’s terrible.
I remember hating this shoot cuz the main purpose of this was to show the city skyline, but you couldn't even see it in the final photos (probably because of the weather).
Let's be honest, this actually could be great photoshoot, however with such weather it makes no sense at all, the photos were very average besides great work of models. I kinda get it that they probably booked this long time ago, but knowing the conditions, they had to be aware it will be useless, they could have come up with something else for sure (its a largly produuced tv show, they need to be prepared for such difficulties like weather). But it's not the first time the ANTM photoshoot makes no sense, so... i'm just greatful for your videos as it's showing how bad this show was, greetings!
My friend did the edgewalk on the CN tower and it was safe to let go of the harness. Although the harness was positioned differently from here in which they really want to showcase the garment. Additionally, they have a policy to not operate during extreme weather conditions and high winds.

The "fashion maven" judge in this season was so incredibly cruel. That poor girl was forced to wear pigtails and then she was punished because the client didn't like the hairstyle.
Honestly, if I had just randomly come across these photos, I would have just thought they were posing on a sidewalk; so much for showcasing the skyline, the rain had more definition.
I do a lot of climbing and high-up shoots, this is very safe. They should have clarified with the models how safe this was, they could dangle their whole bodies off the edge and be just fine. Also, the fact they did this during a storm is stupid, you are more likely to get hit by lightning than have a broken harness. Without even adding in the higher probability of getting hit because of how high up they are, and the metal conductive equipment they are using. Actually, now that I think about it more, this was super dangerous. Someone could have gotten hit by lightning.
Tyra can be a famous person but when judging a model, she has to she that they are human before a model. I can't take the way she criticized those models when she hasn't even done one of those photoshoots! And even worse! Jay! This man needs to actually be in the girls shoes before he starts yapping about stuff. Tyra really needs an episode by herself and do the things that these poor girls have to go through.

I used to love this show and think these photo shoots were so cool. Years later, it’s obvious that there was no reason for this other than drama for ratings.
So one of my friends auditioned for this show and she got to the interview process with the producers. She said they asked her what her biggest fear was and she lied 😂 she was like, “If I do make it on they might use it against me so I told them one I’m only a little afraid of.”
I'm not afraid of heights, even I felt the fight or flight instinct kick in at the CN tower. Hats off to these girls, they were incredible at this, and it was so unnecessary
I love how every time Jessica is like: "this girl is doing the best out of everyone" and im like: "nooo that's the one that is going to be eliminated" proving that judging in this show was bullshit and we all bought it. Hi Jessica! If you're interested in reacting to other extreme runways I have a recommendation. Also in Cycle 15 there was a fashion show where the runway actually jutted out from the top of a building. It looks terrifying and pointless because I still don't undestand how anyone would actually be able to see the clothes.

I’m not even an editor but seeing their final photos and seeing the scenery and the way the ledge was, considering the level of editing these shows must be able to afford, I don’t think they would’ve had any issues editing a background like that easily. It never ceases to surprise me just how far shows like this will go for views and “entertainment.”
That’s one of my biggest fears! I cannot believe they didn’t secure the models safety as a FIRST priority. The storm will probably be photoshopped out so this is completely unnecessary risk to the whole casts’ lives!
they did this in new zealand too at the sky tower! i was working there that day and saw them do this! i had to sign an NDA haha. i worked in the restaurant which is on the same level as where this happens, it’s a normal daily thing you can pay to do, seems pretty cool and is super safe.
They saw the terror in the girl's eyes in Toronto, and realized they missed a prime opportunity to torment them. So they found another tower. I bet they threw out the "snuggling with puppies" photoshoot for this one.

I never understand when people are willing to let someone have their spot why it gets rejected. Several years ago I was working for a company that had to have layoffs due to the loss of a government contract. I was one of the first layoffs and another girl that started when I did was cut too. I had moved in with my parents a few years before this to save money for grad school and to buy a house. The other girl was going through a nasty divorce and raising a little boy on her own. We were given 30 days notice with benefits and pay for another 1 month after that. A few days after finding out I was losing my job I was accepted into grad school and my great aunt left me money to go back to school. I was going to be okay, so I went to HR and asked if I could leave early and let my coworker stay for the extra weeks to help her with money and benefits to take care of her little boy. They told me that they couldn’t do that...so I stayed but ended up giving that coworker some of my severance. I just felt so bad. The good news is that we eventually got hired at the competitor who won the contract...more money, better people, and my coworker received a promotion while I eventually left to be a grad assistant at my university.
You should compare these to Asia's Next Top Model! I've been watching some today and they are SO much nicer to the models whilst still giving them similar types of challenges. They seem to genuinely want them to do well and there is a point to why they do them/they aren't just getting a kick out of making them to hard things! Would recommend the first few episodes of Season 2, which I have watched so far. For example in S2 E3 they do a video commercial in a similar set up to this but nice and sunny.
Yes. I think it is pretty fascinating. I only knew the german version and had glimpses into some other countries' versions lately. Very interesting i hear the polish version is pretty good.
Hi, Jess. Could you also react to Asia's Next Top Model? I've watched full 2 seasons (season 5 and 6) and I can say that the judges and the photographer himself (Yu Tsai) direct and give more constructive criticisms to the models more than America's NTM judges do.
Honestly I just can't take the judges critiques seriously at all. They give these models 70+ frames usually and in all of that they can't find a good shot? No it's not realistic, even if 69 photos were trash, at least 1 will be good. So for them to base all this judging drama on a bad picture that Tyra and/or the producers picked is just too silly to watch.
I feel like since that place is known for bungee jumping it was probably pretty safe but I really hate the idea that they did this to a group of girls that had a lot of people that were scared of heights and in the rain that doesn’t feel safe to me
So I have actually done the bungee jump and skywalk (where the girls are) at Macau Tower. It was fun and very safe, but I felt uncomfortable when asked to lean out from the platform and just hanging by the harness, I survived though........ But the place was closed for a reason! (Also when you walk around there usually, the harness is way tighter! Not all the way down to the platform, I would be so uncomfortable)

In the real modelling world you wouldn’t take a job that requires you to be up high on a harness when you are afraid of heights.
It’s funny you say that, because Tyra has said In Multiple of occasions, even on the show, that you need to know your boundaries and when to say no. She even talks about how Tyra would bring her mom to shoots and runways because her momma would keep her safe from doing things she didn’t want to do...Like nude photography. Tyra was a full on hypocrite. Her career as a model wasn’t even that important in the industry like say Naomi was.
This show is wild. They signed up to model, not to be on Fear Factor 🙄

Turns out she wanted leave in the beginning but no one said anything how they would do it. So Alisha told ebony she was safe because she told them before judging that she was done for good. It hurts to see her cry because they did her wrong.
I bet they brought them there first to see if they're scared or not and depending on their reaction production was like "oh we either bring the girls back to the tower, or let's have them pose on an active volcano"
My expectations are so low that I’m just pleasantly surprised that they didn’t have the girls wearing 5 inch heels.
That would be so easy to photoshop the city in the background, and with photoshop you would see the city even better 😂
It would also would have been cheaper to photoshop the city rather than to book an entire building for a day! 😂
Yeah being tall and thin, I've had gusts of wind almost carry me before. That shoot is insanely dangerous without a harness! I guess the cord they had would stop them from falling, but imagine how freaky that would be if it came to that.
I'm not that tall but I am thin and this has happened to me. I once had to cling to a tree because I was going downhill and the wind was picking me up and dragging me.
Can't even imagine being that high up, the wind would be crazy strong.

Going first was probably her best option. Your anxiety can really build while waiting your turn. Get it over and done with ASAP.

Obviously they just wanted to eliminate Ebony given that she did a great job at the photoshoot! Love the fact that Ebony is killing it and has proved them wrong!

These poor girls. I feel so bad for them. This is so traumatic.
I saw an interview of one of the girls, and she talked about her leaving the show. After they left, they were taken to a hotel. They shared a room, and spent a great deal of time weeping together. Definitely traumatized.
@@SkyeID omg, I could only imagine. I used to love this show as a kid and now I watch it and horrified. These poor girls went through hell and back. All for entertainment, because I’ve seen plenty of girls say after the show they were shunned by the modeling community, they could barley get work. It’s terrible.
I remember hating this shoot cuz the main purpose of this was to show the city skyline, but you couldn't even see it in the final photos (probably because of the weather).
Let's be honest, this actually could be great photoshoot, however with such weather it makes no sense at all, the photos were very average besides great work of models. I kinda get it that they probably booked this long time ago, but knowing the conditions, they had to be aware it will be useless, they could have come up with something else for sure (its a largly produuced tv show, they need to be prepared for such difficulties like weather). But it's not the first time the ANTM photoshoot makes no sense, so... i'm just greatful for your videos as it's showing how bad this show was, greetings!
My friend did the edgewalk on the CN tower and it was safe to let go of the harness. Although the harness was positioned differently from here in which they really want to showcase the garment. Additionally, they have a policy to not operate during extreme weather conditions and high winds.

The "fashion maven" judge in this season was so incredibly cruel. That poor girl was forced to wear pigtails and then she was punished because the client didn't like the hairstyle.
What they did on the tower was perfectly safe...with normal weather. The fact that the winds were so high, was so dangerous!
To say " you can leave, but so is she " what a monster.

Honestly, if I had just randomly come across these photos, I would have just thought they were posing on a sidewalk; so much for showcasing the skyline, the rain had more definition.

I do a lot of climbing and high-up shoots, this is very safe. They should have clarified with the models how safe this was, they could dangle their whole bodies off the edge and be just fine.
Also, the fact they did this during a storm is stupid, you are more likely to get hit by lightning than have a broken harness. Without even adding in the higher probability of getting hit because of how high up they are, and the metal conductive equipment they are using.
Actually, now that I think about it more, this was super dangerous. Someone could have gotten hit by lightning.
It mustve been SUPER scary too. They didnt even care it someone was afraid of hights... So this photoshoot was a big no-no.

Tyra can be a famous person but when judging a model, she has to she that they are human before a model. I can't take the way she criticized those models when she hasn't even done one of those photoshoots! And even worse! Jay! This man needs to actually be in the girls shoes before he starts yapping about stuff. Tyra really needs an episode by herself and do the things that these poor girls have to go through.

I used to love this show and think these photo shoots were so cool. Years later, it’s obvious that there was no reason for this other than drama for ratings.
So one of my friends auditioned for this show and she got to the interview process with the producers. She said they asked her what her biggest fear was and she lied 😂 she was like, “If I do make it on they might use it against me so I told them one I’m only a little afraid of.”

I'm not afraid of heights, even I felt the fight or flight instinct kick in at the CN tower. Hats off to these girls, they were incredible at this, and it was so unnecessary
I love how every time Jessica is like: "this girl is doing the best out of everyone" and im like: "nooo that's the one that is going to be eliminated" proving that judging in this show was bullshit and we all bought it.
Eboni did clearly good and they chose a horrible picture and even dared to eliminate her. 😅

Hi Jessica! If you're interested in reacting to other extreme runways I have a recommendation. Also in Cycle 15 there was a fashion show where the runway actually jutted out from the top of a building. It looks terrifying and pointless because I still don't undestand how anyone would actually be able to see the clothes.
I literally am on the verge of a panic attack when I’m in an elevator going up more than 10 floors. Just looking at that photo shoot skyrocketed my anxiety omg
Keep in mind, a building that tall sways in the wind, they forgot to share that tidbit with us

I’m not even an editor but seeing their final photos and seeing the scenery and the way the ledge was, considering the level of editing these shows must be able to afford, I don’t think they would’ve had any issues editing a background like that easily. It never ceases to surprise me just how far shows like this will go for views and “entertainment.”

they did this in new zealand too at the sky tower! i was working there that day and saw them do this! i had to sign an NDA haha. i worked in the restaurant which is on the same level as where this happens, it’s a normal daily thing you can pay to do, seems pretty cool and is super safe.
They saw the terror in the girl's eyes in Toronto, and realized they missed a prime opportunity to torment them. So they found another tower.
I bet they threw out the "snuggling with puppies" photoshoot for this one.

I never understand when people are willing to let someone have their spot why it gets rejected. Several years ago I was working for a company that had to have layoffs due to the loss of a government contract. I was one of the first layoffs and another girl that started when I did was cut too. I had moved in with my parents a few years before this to save money for grad school and to buy a house. The other girl was going through a nasty divorce and raising a little boy on her own. We were given 30 days notice with benefits and pay for another 1 month after that. A few days after finding out I was losing my job I was accepted into grad school and my great aunt left me money to go back to school. I was going to be okay, so I went to HR and asked if I could leave early and let my coworker stay for the extra weeks to help her with money and benefits to take care of her little boy. They told me that they couldn’t do that...so I stayed but ended up giving that coworker some of my severance. I just felt so bad. The good news is that we eventually got hired at the competitor who won the contract...more money, better people, and my coworker received a promotion while I eventually left to be a grad assistant at my university.
You should compare these to Asia's Next Top Model! I've been watching some today and they are SO much nicer to the models whilst still giving them similar types of challenges. They seem to genuinely want them to do well and there is a point to why they do them/they aren't just getting a kick out of making them to hard things! Would recommend the first few episodes of Season 2, which I have watched so far. For example in S2 E3 they do a video commercial in a similar set up to this but nice and sunny.

Yes. I think it is pretty fascinating. I only knew the german version and had glimpses into some other countries' versions lately. Very interesting i hear the polish version is pretty good.
Hi, Jess. Could you also react to Asia's Next Top Model? I've watched full 2 seasons (season 5 and 6) and I can say that the judges and the photographer himself (Yu Tsai) direct and give more constructive criticisms to the models more than America's NTM judges do.
Honestly I just can't take the judges critiques seriously at all. They give these models 70+ frames usually and in all of that they can't find a good shot? No it's not realistic, even if 69 photos were trash, at least 1 will be good. So for them to base all this judging drama on a bad picture that Tyra and/or the producers picked is just too silly to watch.
I feel like since that place is known for bungee jumping it was probably pretty safe but I really hate the idea that they did this to a group of girls that had a lot of people that were scared of heights and in the rain that doesn’t feel safe to me

So I have actually done the bungee jump and skywalk (where the girls are) at Macau Tower. It was fun and very safe, but I felt uncomfortable when asked to lean out from the platform and just hanging by the harness, I survived though........ But the place was closed for a reason! (Also when you walk around there usually, the harness is way tighter! Not all the way down to the platform, I would be so uncomfortable)
I tell you I’d be well up for watching Tyra attempt these kind of shoots!
