They're all pretty good ideas. I have a 2.5 mm one that's recessed and hard to get. My first thought was to put JB weld on scrap. Allen. I think I might try using some 2000 grit. Sandpaper and jam it in and see if that works
Not a lot of options here for a RECESSED allen screw head... these solutions assume you have access to the head, but what if it's down a very narrow hole?
I had one strip that is imbedded at a weird angle. I tried almost everything. Finally i used a small a small piece of cloth wedged in the hole instead of rubber. And it popped loose 🤣 cloth
Good ideas. Please don’t take this as bad criticism, you are holding your pliers wrong. An easy old fashioned saying and easy way to remember- RIGHTY TIGHTY LEFTY LOOSEY. It does make a difference in the bite you will get on the fasteners.
Thank you. Simple easy methods. I don’t have to get a torch. The extractor bit did the trick. Thank you
What a refreshing change: a how-to-clip that actually helps. Thank you very much!
Great video. No fluff or BS and gave me plenty of ideas and options
You are the best! The channel locks worked surprisingly well
This looks like a great channel . Thank you . Considering I can barely pound in a nail this should be helpful
Thank you!! The pliers tip saved my sanity.
Sir, you are a lifesaver! You now have a new subscriber, thank you!
I keep looking up ways but every video I see is from the top when mine is deep in a hole. hard/impossible to use these methods
Have you tried sacrificing an Allen wrench and epoxying it to the screw ?
Just have to let it cure over night and if it didn’t work you would t be out of anything but it should work
I would try just going and getting a cheap. Allen and glue it in with JB weld overnight
Ahhhhh! Ty. I used a rubber glove and it worked.
Nice job man! Thanks.
The pliers method worked for me, but I had a Knipex twin grip, so glad I bought that tool! 😂

Can you use locktite on the top of the screw? Also, do any of these methods work on small screws?
I have a very tight bent and stripped Allan bolt in a very cramped area and I really don’t know what to do
My nut head shattered completely leaving the bolt in that's even worse
thank you so much! i subscribed!

In that case you are screwed 😮

Tried a rubber band on the end but no dice. Channel locks worked though, thanks!
My G! I forgot I've got a multi tool. I'm going to try that tomorrow!
I have a stuck Alan screw at the base of a single handle kitchen faucet (#8). I tried the extractor bit and it doesn’t work.

Non of these have worked and it’s not rusted just rounded when I put it in 2 weeks ago help
I couldn't grip the bolt with the channel locks but the rubber glove worked like a charm!
My problem is the screws are 12 inches inside of something so it can only be reached by a 12-inch t15. So this won't work for me but that's awesome
A torx bit will also work or you can peen the bolt head with a hammer and a punch to help the Allen to fit tighter.
Those L shaped screwdrivers are such a pain to use. They break your thumb if something like this happens.
thats why you get others to bring their hands for you
Yes my shoulder is killing me already.
There's allen key hex with screw driver type option in the market
I think the last one should be the first and only one surly
Yup, either that or the friction lube is best
Rubber wont work for me, it keeps tearing.

Rubber bands are the worse idea to use it does t WORK!
another user in here begs to differ
@@mosasa1307 I’ve tried rubber bands and they just tear up and they suck!
@@markwhittemoore4179 I get you, but another user said it worked for them.
First!
