Hello, I have a question and I'm you or someone can help, Thank you.
When using a megohmmeter, the insulation resistance reading shows a sudden drop, it indicates?
A.Tests are being made at wrong points B.Incorrect voltage used for testing C.Routine inspections are needed. D.Developing trouble. I would think A or B but I'm going with D

Use 500V digital megger for atleast 10 secs. At start due to charging of insulation some extra leakage current will flow but it will immediately get stable and you will get exact value of insulation resistance.
