Hand tighten first all nuts...Do not wet the small orifice when washing burners...identify the other wrenches size, for propane it is reverse threads...make sure burner is secure in the proper slot in the back...check for gas leak...great video my friend.
Great video Nice music Good job I would have also cleaned the flame sensor with a little steel wool and then blow a little air pressure through the gas port holes so the water could not be a problem but that's just me......Thanx!
Thank you. I cleaned it today. Needed to lift the burner a bit out of the hook to pull it out. Cleaned air filter too with tape where vacuum couldn't reach. I have a different model, press button to light the pilot.
My heater shot out a blue flame from the door I am not sure if the burner needs cleaning or not is this something that needs to be done yearly or not.? Thanks for sharing etc
More explanation would be great..like what is the crap on the burner, where did it come from and what caused it? Ok video but more need to know info to eliminate a reoccurrence
I have the "exact"burner and "exact" problem.I think this particular burner has a design flaw.My old heater worked for 30 years & I never cleaned it! This thing has been nothing but trouble since I installed it 5 years ago.Yellow flames, soot. Unreliable!I"m pissed.
Oh man; you have a lot of soot on the burner and base of burner assembly, as well as some outside of the burner compartment. By now your flue may be sooted too and you need to fix what's causing it. There may be some throttling or bypassing going on.
There are some good pointe to this video but some really bad ones hence why I gave you the dislike You noted two out of three of the wrench sizes right off the hop then you flooded your burner with water, then you proceeded to vacuum out a water heater that was sooting up badly and appeared to be producing carbon monoxide. Call a real plumber/gasfitter because your water heater is in rough shape. You didnt test the connections to the pilot tube and main burner after reconnecting with a soapy water solution. Someone could burn their house down doing this. You missed some serious critical points. And your music was like something out of a depressing disney video parody. I dont often diss videos but wow. Clean your burners with a brush and compressed air, soap test your connections so nobody blows up. Give the depressing music a break
Well done. I liked the music. Better than listening to background noise and heavy breathing.
Thank you, Today our hot water went out and we found your video to fix it and we have HOT water again. Many thanks!

The music and flowered linoleum made this magical, like a Disney ending.
I'm no longer mad that I woke up to a cold shower this morning.
THANKS! Your video is so helpful, & the music is very calming (both lowered my anxiety to a minimum). Hugs to you, & have a wonderful day!
Thank you for your video...will try this today. Enjoyed the relaxing tunes too.
THE MUSIC complements how easy the job is...

Awesome video - very helpful. Thank you!
good video, but the music sounds like a sad Disney ending.
LOL! Exactly what I was thinking before reading your comment!
Is it ok to do this to a flooded water heater? Can't afford new one.
Pilot flame needs to be a certain distance from burner?
Yes, of course.
Perfect. Did the trick!
This music is making me feel like I'm reliving my childhood again... I'm about to turn 31 😢 oh how the years ago

Hey, soapy water on those rejoined fittings. Bubbles detect leaks. SOP for gas.
Nice music

Thank you
my burner also has the flame at the bottom of the burner.
VIX TWELVE that means you have a restriction somewhere in the burner tubing causing it to ignite there
LeTS GO DANCE
Should have checked for gas leak
Yes of course
Waltz while you do this...
Music good.
grunting , groaning, noisy tools not good.

Isn't it resistant? What harm would the water do?
plumbing guy at home despot just told me water is okay to clean, but make sure it's dry after.

I couldn't watch. Silly music is out of place. Narrate what you're doing!
