Absolutely legend mate. You are the best youtube channel about kart. Bought my kart a week ago and you have 100% off info I need! Can’t stop watching the channel! Congrats!
Can you do a video on rear axle bearing maintenance. Routine oiling and greasing/cleaning and dust cap removal and when to replace. Something like that. I am currently removing my dustcaps to re grease
That looked easier than i expected apart from the piston extraction part. I could do with a front brake service vid with the handbrake system as well if possible, although its not a problem yet.
Thanks Derek, learned something new! You always make great videos about the technique of the kart, but could you also make a video about karting itself? cornering, placing a kart at the apex. That kind of stuff
Great video. Can you please do a specific brake bleed video for BSM calipers. The lack on nipple makes it hard to complete successfully, looking for tips.
Funny timing for the vid, Did a 7hr enduro yesterday (day vid posted) and were up for a brake rebuild (on an Intrepid) as we only had about 10% brake capacity and at mega leg strength needed to get that, were normally one of the best under brakes in the series, made for a long day.
I’m new to go karting and I’m thinking of starting this year so I’m learning as much as I can about karting. Are all brake systems similar enough to follow the process in this video for any kart, or is there a different process for different brake systems? If they’re different, would it matter much if I followed this process for a different brake system rather than whatever process that system requires?
hey mate, welcome to the club. karting is super fun. most brakes are the same. I cover Tony kart of corse cause its my favourite go kart in the world. but I have covered arrow (Dent) and intrepid too. check them out as this covers most karts on the market
Yo I recently bought a shifter kart and the brakes don’t work I’ve taken the brake line off the calipers and pushed the brake to make sure the brake Oil is going threw and it does but the pads don’t move at all and I don’t really know what to do about it
Hey got a quick question, when I changed the pads (which are the same size as the old ones) they won’t fit over the brake disc, and I can’t pull the pads back any further, what can I do?
I have a crack on the thread of one of the cylinder barrels where you put the adapter for the brake line. Anything I can put to seal it up and make sure it doesn't leak during a race?
@@PowerRepublic after replacing the adapters that it's all good on that end. Thank you. But I have noticed that on one side of the Caliper there is a leak on the piston end and I have rebuild the Caliper and replaced all rubbers with new ones. Would the piston be an issue?
I think it would be possible but it would add a lot of weight and wouldn't be legal for competition. Curious as to why you want to mount one? Drift kart?

Great idea. Use the gravity feeder or ‘tomato sauce squeeze bottle’ method at get the fluid moving and out of the bleed screw

open up the calliper and the master cylinder and replace all the seals and fluid. then re bleed the whole system and you should be good to go
