oh my god a cool character concept pair for two players to do together would be the normal child who was raised in the feywild and the changeling child who was swapped out and raised in their place in the normal world.
very cool thing you mentioned there with the potential for a cool backstory with the feylost background towards the end of the video. I haven't really thought about it too much that way but now you got the stone rolling in my head and its rolling fast xD I feel like I wanna roll up a character with this just for the fun of it! If it fits in your time schedule, i'd love a little segment like that where you just browse through some character options of the upcoming books also and just quickly spit out two or three little story hook ideas you had literally while reading. I love stuff like that and sometimes it's so cool to get someones perspective on this stuff. Really gets my creative wheels turning as well :D
Yeah but the Jack-o-lantern is an LED light, so it doesn't blow out the camera. The Nerd Immersion light is a true neon light so it's just too powerful
so i just wanna say something incredibly fitting so i had a character from the feywild who drank from a special river and gained animal ears and tail (race change to Shifter) before our icewind dale campaign started. when the book dropped and i looked at the background, i actually laughed out loud at seeing that the Fey Mark feature was a thing and that it had a tail and furry ears as options XD
9:45 The Feylost background with an imposter in my character's place is basically the character I've been playing for a few months in my current campaign (I was just using Outlander because there wasn't a better option at the time), I'm definitely asking the DM if I can change that. I always wanted to explore the idea of what happens to the human child the fey kidnap when they leave a changeling behind so I was using Tasha's Custom Lineage to start with Fey Touched, and if I were building her from scratch today I 100% would have used Feylost too.
Beautiful/morbid concept…. Children who die young are taken to the Feywild a period of time before they die. They get to live full lives as a fey and once their life as a fey is over (as Ted said it could be hundreds of years) they are returned to their human form at the time they were originally taken.
@@shridharbiju7370 Really? It's that good? I read a Polygon article that talked about little to no combat, snail races, and a "swashbuckling dandelion" and i was like "yep, this isn't for me."
@@assembly2593 I am simply saying my vision of the Feywild. If I was the DM that's is how I would run. I would throw in wildly fantastical things that wouldn't be possible otherwise.

Ted has really thought through the angst of being fey-lost.
I love the feylost because that concept was implied for a while and now there is a functional way to implement this on a character.
the last carnival companion is basically: "Hey, hey! Link!"
I think the reason for 8 bonds and flaws etc is because the book talks about using the number 3 and 8.
