Listening to this at 14 years old, staying up past when I was meant to be asleep by, thinking all was lost. After that final goal me and my brother screamed so loud that we were grounded for a week. I've never had a feeling like that since. I'd do anything to relive that moment again.
What non-Tottenham supporters dont quite understand is that unlike Liverpool, who may have also completed a stunning comeback, Spurs had not already won a Champions League or been to two finals since doing so. We have been a little team that I never dreamed of seeing in the Champions League final. That's a match for the superstars. Barca. Madrid. Spurs outdid themselves under Poch, and the fact that people saw/see them as a big team capable of doing this is testament to that.
Major respect to Ajax from a Spurs fan all the way from Bangladesh...wish this miracle happened against any other team...ur valiant young heroes won the world's hearts and Ajax fans were amazing even applauding Spur's performance at the end of the match despite such a tragic heart break...Respect Ajax...Ajax is legendary...we need your support for another last miracle in Madrid...COYS!

During "that night in Amsterdam", I was stuck in traffic on Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan, listening to the game on a radio stream. When Lucas scored the winning goal, all I heard on the radio was the crowd yelling and I had no idea whether he had actually scored or not. What felt like a minute later, the announcer said it had gone in. I start literally yelling at the top of my lungs in my car and waiving my arms. The woman in the car next to me in traffic parks and starts to get out because she was convinced I was having a stroke/medical emergency and I had to convince here that I was actually fine and that my only condition was being a Spurs fan.
There is something so special about listening to radio commentary of a game. Reminds me of when I was younger and we'd often have to rely on the radio commentary for coverage of a game. Jonathan Pierce going mental around euro 96 (and more obscure games before that) is a fond memory. lots to be said for having to imagine a game through an enthusiastic radio commentator.
Thanks so much for posting this. Just listened again for the umpteenth time and still makes me emotional. This has to be still a treat for every spurs fan. I imagine most, without fail, crank the volume up a little after each of the first 2 and then up a bit more 5 mins before the last. COYS.
Got to love Chris Sutton's reaction at Lucas Moura's winner, he cheered like millions of us Tottenham supporters at that moment. Tears came easy at such jubilant news it's hard to put into words.
This will never get old. The ties against City and Ajax are embedded in all true Spurs fans memories for eternity. The haters (yes, you Gooners) can harp on about 'where's your trophies' for all they like, but experiences like this are worth more than trophies. Thank you Poch for achieving the impossible.of a CL final. COYS.

Radio commentary is often superior to that on TV. This is a great example.
Tbf, it should be.

About as brilliant as the corner against Barcelona.
