I was just going through youtube videos to learn more about the syndromes related to chromosomes cuz I have exams coming up, then I came across your videos and I'm so glad I did because I felt like I learned more coming from actual people who experience it. Looking forward to more videos! (Ok back to studying:3)

When I was 35 I had not yet begun shaving regularly. And I have a photo of me when I was 43 and I looked to be 18. But youthfulness runs in my family. My sister is 2 years older than I and her key to looking young is daily exercise -- just walking. My parents lived to be 95 and 96, but their last 4 years were painful for us to watch. Not a mistake I will make. I live in a state that allows for death with dignity, whereas my parents did not. Their last years were not dignified and were difficult. Certainly not at all rewarding.

@@cooperwaRichard, Have you had any issues being on testosterone for that long? I just started because my body does not produce enough testosterone. I was worried about starting due to all the negative rumors about testosterone replacement therapy.

So far no problems. But, however, I don't overdo it. I'm conservative about how much I inject myself with. The XXY's who overdo their T are the ones who have problems I think. I think it's a human tendency to keep increasing one's dose, but resist that urge and you should be ok for the long run.@@RickySlatton

@@cooperwa one more question Richard. Do you ever have issues with blood thickness on trt and do you donate blood? I’m on a very low dose of TRT (80mg) per week split into two doses of 40mg that I pin on Monday and Friday.

      2) what does living with xxy mean-to you and what challenges pros and cons has it done to your life
      3) what advice do you give parents of xxy kids to do to be a better help for their kids?

      5) Do you see xxy as an excuse or reason for your behaviors pros and cons?

      7) what does xxy mean to you

@Arrivenstyle Way too many questions and would take me writing a book to answer. But, I'll take #8 -- was I ever confused about my identity. No, never. I knew who I was and who I wanted to be. I set a goal and adjusted it as time passed. I exceeded my goals. But, no one's life is ever perfect and looking back there were a few things I could have done differently and better. The best thing that helped me achieve a better attitude and begin to win friends and influence people was when I started a prescription called Welbutrin (Bupropion) XL 150mg daily antidepressant which is known for not affecting one's libido. A low dose, but very effective for me. I regret the arguments I had with loved ones prior to starting the drug. I think everybody could benefit from a mild antidepressant, but not just any one. Get assessed by your doctor. You don't necessarily have to see a psyche doc -- an internist can prescribe too.

I'm not sure my life would be an inspiration for younger people to follow. I was very lucky to have wonderful parents. That's really the key to the success or failure of the XXY young person. Parents who put you ahead of themselves. Unfortunately too many of us XXY's did not have that luxury especially in this day and age of both parents working or one parent missing. My hat off to single parents who can successfully carry this out. My father was my primary role model, but over time I had several men in my life who inspired me. Looking back I think the mistake my parents made with me was not hiring a private tutor. They could have easily afforded it. But, it wasn't the style back then. If a parent can't be that tutor themselves, then hire someone. We XXY's need a tutor in school so we can easily get into college. If the XXY doesn't need help that way, then they are among the lucky few.

I'm 57 was diagnosed at 24 but the US Army didn't do anything or really tell me anything. Wasn't until I turned 37 is when I started testosterone therapy with help of the internet. I'm upper management in a casino in Nevada married to a wonderful woman who is very understanding. I'm far from normal and now my body is falling apart. Good to see a 71 year old still kicking.

I just turned 75 and fully expect to live past 90. But, do I really want to enter that downhill spiral after age 90? It's tempting, but everyone I know (of course there are always exceptions) regretted the 90+ years of "circling the drain".

Hey Dude, So I'm talking with a Friend of Mine on Discord (Who happens to be a Nurse) & he told me that Klinefelter's Syndrome is actually a "Chromosomal Abnormality" rather than a Learning Difficulty, This whole time I thought it was a form of some kind of difficulty
My Parents didn't know I was diagnosed with it until I was 4 years old & I didn't know about it until I was in My Early Teens (Now 26)
Everything about KS always confuses me 😔

How can you request to get tested because no one will seem to do it or recognize my assessment for it. I am taller than average with real narrow shoulders, have low muscle mass but no gyno, no small genitals , also have autism symptoms, like expressing myself or feelings along with anxiety.. I have a feeling I'm xxy but don't see any test beyond prenatal online anywhere.

I inject 1/2 cc once every other week with Cypionate Testosterone 200mg. I do subcutaneous injection into my stomach excess fat using 25 gau needle 5/8 inch long. Painless, effortless, a wonderful advancement for me. The daily gel is what many others do, but doesn't suit my lifestyle and costs 50 times as much as the self injection. Other XXY's may use estrogen or go untreated altogether. Everybody has different requirements. No one treatment is for any and all.

    • @cooperwa

@@shamanthabp3821 In my opinion, side effects would be when one is taking too much testosterone. It is a controlled substance prescription and often subject to abuse by bodybuilders. I think if one does not have a legitimate need for "T" supplements they will have negative maybe lifelong side effects such as shrinking testicles. The only side effect I know of for me is it makes me hornier than hell within first week of my shot. That's a good thing for my mate, right?
