So true!! I was seriously missing the boat editing this one this week! 😩 I think Cambridge is a good one to do as a multi stop trip btw - we did Cambridge & then easy run across bay to HH South.
Lived outside of Rock Hall for a few months and absolutely loved it. Had to come back home but i didn't want to leave. Such a beautiful and friendly small town. Waterman's Crab house is a must when visiting for sure and it is accessible by boat.
All great suggestions. You all should try Lowes Wharf. Not really a marina or even a town; more a large bar and restaurant, but has mooring balls, water taxi and you can also anchor. Its a nice protected cove and is a really good time with good food, normally a band, volleyball court and you can swim in and around the area.
Missing? Come south! The Tides Inn on Carter's Creek off of the Rappahannock in mid-Cjesapeake is not to be missed! It is another "resort" on the Chesapeake, and more manageable size for boaters arriving by water. Enjoy!
We boat mainly on the Choptank and Corsica Rivers. Our favorite is Solomons Island which we go to once a year for a weekend. Rock Hall is great and I would put Chesapeake City up there as well. Enjoy the videos!
Excellent video and congrats on the paid promo. I tried using Argo but since I don't have a boat it's always telling me to drive my car into the water. Luckily I just bought an alleged "smart car" and so far it has refused to drive into the Potomac. Nonetheless, my glove box is packed full with Captains Wafers, Bloody Mary mix, vodka and water wings in case I ever find myself floating downstream, hanging out the sunroof, Argo app in hand. PS - I'm a little disappointed that New Orleans didn't make the top five.
Oh Johnny ya gotta get a boat!! Actually Argo won’t give you a route from land, gotta be on the water, so no worries there. Will definitely do a top NOLA destinations if we ever get our boat there 😭
We have a week booked at HH south and are looking at a day trip from there. Have you guys been to Oxford, if so what's your thoughts. Did you go into town when you stopped in Cambridge?
That’s a great idea to make some day trips from that point! We haven’t been to Oxford yet but thinking about for next season. At Cambridge we stayed on property because there was so much to do.
Cambridge is NOT worth the trip. Bird shit all over the piers also get ready to walk the long stretch to anything at the actual hyatt. Herrington South is amazing. Also don't forget to check out Shipwright (right next to Herrington North) with an amazing pool. Rock hall -- love Osprey and Haven Harbour. I would consider adding Baltimore to your list (Fells Point) and anchorage marina. Great eats nearby and lots to see and do! oh and there's a west marine and grocery store right across the street. Wayne (dockmaster) at Anchorage is AMAZING every time!
Thx all good comments! Hyatt as a “destination” was nice for kids but marina did suck. Never heard of Shipwright, will check out… we love big pools. Fells point is one we may need to put back into rotation 🙌
@@MyBoatLifewe also LOVE fairlee creek. I know you've been there since I saw a previous video. Don't also forget about Worton creek right next to Fairlee. Solomans is amazing, Deltaville is amazing. My wife and I have Sundancer 460 and traveled almost 1500 miles on the boat last year down the ICW to almost South Carolina. Lots of amazing times and more to come!
We were focused on Chesapeake town /marina destinations not anchorages like fbi and technically yes you could go by car to anything on Easter or western shore but we’re boaters 😁
I think we been to most of those locations except Cambridge. Great video. Breath of fresh air after this past week of winter and weather

@@MyBoatLife good tip.... thanks

Rock Hall is on our itinerary every season! 🥰
Cape Charles,Onancock and Solomons Island are also nice trips.
Thanks we hope to get some trips in further south!
I've lived in the DMV for 25 years, and was today years old when I learned about Rock Hall, haha
Haha! We didn’t know anything about Rock Hall until we were boaters - hidden gem! 💎
Thank you for making these videos! Greatly appreciated!
Oh thank YOU for watching!! 🥰
Really enjoy this overview. I really need to take a long trip on our boat up through the Chesapeake.
Thanks! You definitely should if you can.. so many small & big towns to explore!

Sounds very cool!
Fells point is nice too!
Ahhh yeah that’s one it’s been a while, always think of Baltimore but don’t always think about Fell point! May have to hit next season👍

Can't believe you missed that one...on the other hand...stay away and leave the "open" part of the bay for us!!
@@jstringer213 a bit far south for us but hopefully we’ll make it there at some point! 😊

Cool we’re hoping to put Solomon’s on our list for this summer!
Check out Spring Cove Marina when you head to Solomons.@@MyBoatLife
Well done!
Thank you! It’s always fun looking back at our favorite boat trips 😊

@@MyBoatLifedon't get too excited over Oxford. not much going on there and you'll have to catch the ferry over to St. Michaels.

Could you not have included even one island destination on this list, all of these are accessible by car!
