Oh this one is a fan favorite. Also helps that the character it's tied to is also a massive fan fav of the series.
This track is a banger befitting the badass character it's tied to... the first time I heard it was while playing SRW Alpha Gaiden, this song starts playing with the character appearing as basically a super boss in the middle of an already difficult stage. Needless to say I got destroyed by a ship-sized great sword, it was terrifying and awesome at the same time.

I miss when SRW games were actually trying to challenge the player. The modern SRW titles are just there for fan service IMO.
Considering how strong the boss was, this is akin to some new Villain showing up in the middle of a DC+Marvel crossover, and utterly curbstomping the living shit out of your favorite heroes. Not all of them at their peak, but enough that you know he'd give them shit even then.
WHAT??? Gate of Magus on here?? Man the entire soundtrack on the game is insane. You gotta do Dark Knight if you're doing this one, and the god of SRW OGs soundtrack - Dark Prison

It definitely fits both sides. It's a menacing theme to listen when you see Thrudgelmir as an enemy, and a majestic theme for it to play when he came as your ally.
That mecha (Thrudgelmir) is a beast with a wild Colossal Blade. Such an epic design and soundtrack!

Wodan Ymir is the pilot's name.
Sanger I believe is the original pilot in his first appearance but in OG where the original aspects are taken from other games yeah Ymir Wodan was there to be the Sanger that took up Thrudgelmir’s sword
@@Xeno-The-Wanderer Technically Wodn IS Sanger since he was built using Sanger as a base (whether that means its Shadow Mirror Sanger Zonvolt repurposed into Cyborg after his death or if its just Android built in the image of Sanger is still isn't clear to me tbh)
Your channel needs more SRW songs, Original Generation has some really great battle themes. Some of my favorites include "The Final Judge", "Dark Knight", and "Valsion".
Glad Wodan came around from more than just one srw fan.
Sänger's original theme in his first appearance, really helped sell that he's a Big Deal.
Personally I prefer the original Alpha Gaiden version a bit more, but either way, an amazing theme.
Just to point out the typo in the video title. It some how shows Gift of Magus.

in the case of SRW OG. you can count on your fingers the amount of songs that are not character or character group related themes. And with the misterblue videos he is kind enough to put the machines that the songs represent in the halfway parts of his videos for the most part
SRW games will have a lot of styles based on the characters. Since OG characters come from dozens of games over 3 decades it’s led to many styles coming together and it helps that being a crossover featuring music from over 50 years of anime it means that none of them feel out of place yet all try to standout among a sea of tracks across the decades. OG themes can range from things like Steel Beowulf, alchemist with a wavering heart, Fairy Dan-sing, Ash to Ash, everywhere you go, cherry blossom phantasm, the path she goes, the list goes on. The mixes of the crossed over mecha are good as well if you check those out
Now that fellow SRW fans introduced the character of Wodan Ymir, now you gotta listen to 'The Sword That Cleaves Evil' for the character, Sanger Zonvolt. Wodan is the cloned version of that original and the name of the theme and how it sounds when you listen in on it, you'll understand the general feeling right away 😤
in the lore it's even more comple: in the first apparence of Sanger in SRW serie, he uses the thrugelmir and fight for Magus (who is the final boss i think).

It's a theme song of a Swordsman-like character who was a clone but somehow became more powerful than the original.
I won't go into the details because the lore of the character is DEEP, one noteworthy thing to highlight is that he calls himself "the Sword of Magus".
Due to the nature of the series there’s multiple contexts of the theme tied to one of 2 characters depending on the context, the original context was of a guardian swordsman for I believe this titular gate. Due to routes in which the character would stay the adversary or join the heroes. the Original Generation games (taking the original aspects of the crossovers and putting them all together) would feature the character and one like him facing off against each other to symbolize the 2 paths this character could’ve taken (probably because the mecha from both paths Thrudgelmir and Dygenguar are absolute units of badassery)
eyo, if i had money i would request a lot of SRW OG tracks, but sadly i possess no such coinage
if i could i would probably request something like steel beowulf
or maybe exceedingly close to an extremely distant world
oh and of course the opposite version Extremely close to an exceedingly distand world. as those are in fact two renditions of the same song
The alpha ver. is better to me.
