- This video walks you step-by-step through how to qualify for the (up to) 10,000 SBA Grant, which is available for businesses economically hurt by coronavirus.

SBA Disaster Loan & Advance (used to get the 10k grant)
--Self-employed without employees qualify (it’s stated on first “page” of the application)
--Apply for sba loan and check the box for 10,000 “loan advance”
--Advance is turned into a grant to get money to people fast (you do not have to take out a loan)
Loan Rates:
--3.75% for Small Businesses
--2.75% for Non profits
Costs to replace:
- Payroll (self-employed/1099 owner pay is net income see "7 ways" video below)
-- Fixed operational costs such as rent or mortgages
-- Ongoing expenses that you continue incurring, like utilities (not taxes)

I've watched half a dozen videos on the EIDL, and you're the first person to handle the faith-based questions correctly. The others ALL fill in the "expenses" line, even tho it says to do so if you're faith-based. Well done!

I called the SBA and they said you have to pay it back. Only the advance you don't have to pay back. The advance is grant. It's 1k for each employee up to 10k. You'll have to provide documentation showing how you pay employees though.

This is pretty good. One thing though: having a record doesn't disqualify people. They should still apply.
Yes, a few weeks ago congress made the rules more lenient (in opposition to the white house).. the period remains five years for felonies involving fraud, bribery, embezzlement, or a false statement in a loan application

33 million already applied, if I'm going by the confirmation #. Plus it's UP TO $10,000. Not enough money in the pot for 30 million small businesses in this country, but definitely worth trying. I m a sole proprietor.

What goes in business legal name and trade name if you're self employed/sole proprietor, no dba filed? Your name?
To get the grant you have to put in at least ONE EMPLOYEE, that is YOU. You employ yourself. If you put 0 employees you don't get grant money is that something that changed when they streamlined? I had to call the SBA to clarify. I wish that I had seen this before 🙂. The SBA specialist told me that you count yourself as an employee to receive the $1k grant.
Oh wow! This explains why I got a loan and not a grant.

What can I do if I have not ever filed a 1099 and I am a self employed worker?
She's Great I just 💘 Love her with all I got. I don't know why she doesn't get more views. She helped me out of a situation that I was about to give up on until I found her. I'm gonna have to see what can be done about that. Because of all the videos out there her's, are obviously the best, and straight to the subject, without all the mumbo jumbo they add in, to keep you watching there video longer. I was thinking the same I applied July the 10th an excepted it but it won’t let me sign the papers
I applied for this on Tuesday 3/31. I received a application number, but nothing thing else. I called the SBA on Saturday night 4/4, and was informed that it would be at least 2 to 3 weeks before some would contact me. My reply was so you really mean it would be more like 2 or 3 months before someone gets back to me. There was silence on the phone. I was basically told probably, and then told “you don’t think the government is just going to deposit money in your account do you?” I responded that according to bill, which I read to her and was signed into LAW that yes I did. (at least the initial 10k) I meet every requiremnet and that I have been in business for over 20 years. Anything you get over the 10k is a loan. The first 10k is a grant. But it doesn’t matter because this fund is depleted along with the payroll loan that they started taking applications for on Thursday 4/2.

I think it is hit or miss. I helped another Uber driver apply on June 28. Yesterday she had $1k deposited into her bank account. She didn't have to go to a portal or anything. She woke up and it was there.

My baking business has been established for a year now, I do not have my spreadsheet or a business bank account set up as of yet, will these things count against me receiving the loan/grant?
Question - I am self employed and I also had a part time job. I was laid off from my part time job in late March due to COVID-19 and have put in a claim for unemployment. I don't qualify under normal circumstances, because I was only working the part time job for 2 months. But it looks like I may qualify for the $600 per week when it comes through from the Federal Govt. I have read elsewhere that I can't apply for unemployment and also apply to get loans or grants as a self employed entity. True or Not True? I would appreciate your answer. Thank You for what you do.
Apply for the loan/grant anyways just know they’ll run your credit but the loan is good for 30 yrs at 3.75%

FYI- it’s up to $10,000. It’s based per person. So if you are a contract worker you will get $1000. I’m a contractor and got $1000
2 family members received one 7k other 3k. Both received within 3 weeks

I did everything you did in the video on 4/03. Received confirmation number. Dead silence. Nothing in 9 days let alone 3 as stated. I am a single person LLC.

The option for the 10k grant is no longer there. I just applied for the “loan” and within an hour I got an email invite to the portal login creation. Then I had the amount I was offered as well as identity verification then submitted. Thanks for the video.

UP TO 10k well how much are we really gonna get, there is no measurement at all to see where we would fall on the scale of UP TO 10K
they've rushed changes to this program so we don't have much information. In fact, they may be making those decisions based on peoples applications. I can guarantee, you will not get more money than you have lost because of corona virus, to date. Also, it's likely that they may give priority to fixed costs (costs that you are still incurring even if you aren't working)
It's up to 10k forgiveable. You can apply for up to two million.
It is a requirement we are advanced 10k!

so i applied and got approved for the full 10k but as a Loan. When i clicked on "Review and accept the amount" right below where it says Status: eligible, it takes me to a page that shows me the 10k amount but also interest rate on the loan and minimum monthly payment. WHAT DO I DO NOW? bc i don't want to hit accept at the bottom if really is a loan.

You don't have to accept the loan...but the loan interest rate is very tiny..like 2 %
If you get the advance in any amount that part is the grant what you click and accept terms to is the loan portion. So if you accept 10k as a loan you will be responsible for paying that back at 3.75 interest rate over 30 years.

No. They checked you credit to see if you are eligible for the loan
A credit check does not imply that you're being funded.
They check your credit so you want apply for this grant again.

Also if your Self employed do you need a business bank account to receive the SBA funds? Last but not least can you use your home address as the business address? and in the business name section can you use your name for self employed?

What if I have 2 different sole proprietorships? Do I apply twice under the same SS# or can I combine them under one application by listing 2 different names? 1 has loss of revenue and the other has zero revenue but substantial start up costs which has been delayed by Covid. Lola Rose no i never got it. I got a declination letter for the loan. The reason said because my EIDL advance was more than enough to cover my business loss. I never got the advance though
The 10k option is no longer available. i did it and got approved for $1000 in one hour. also it expires on 9/30/2020 so if you gonna apply, do it now. My question is if they do another SBA can we apply again?

This is the full blown SBA loan app. The $10k grant is a short four page application that gives you an official number at the end. I have filled out both the long loan version, then the short form that I was told by the SBA to fill out. This is also not the PPP grant. I understand this is separate from the PPP correct?
what if you were in the process of starting a small business and did not having the money for all the equipment and you had to get it piece by piece then the covid-19 happened
