- In this video, I answer the question “Can I write-off my phone for business?” We’ll also cover how exactly your business can take a tax write-off and for what amount.
Plus, if you have workers who need to use a cell phone for business, we’ll cover options (or requirements depending on your state) for reimbursing them or providing them with a phone.
The good news is that rule changes make it easier to take a deduction for your phone, now more than ever!

Your videos are always very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to create them. I hope you continue to do more of them.
Thank you so much for this detailed video! It really helped me make the right decisions.
Thank you! Exceptional and very informative as usual, thanks!!
Thank you, that was helpful info. Do you have a video where you talk about self employed (LLC) startup bookkeeping. Although I have business banking accounts, I have just used my personal accounts for spending vs transferring money to the business just to pay from the business account.
-- Edit --
You do have a video that talks about the difference between Start-Up vs Started costs. Wow, that was good info.

It will be nice when phone definitions are updated. My cellphone and computer provide the same functionality. As do the mobile and stationary internet service. And I rarely use the cellphone for phone calls. 😁
Just started a LLC last year have not made any money and just realizing I should set up a business account, what do you do if you didn’t have a business acct for tax time (which is now). And have used personal credit cards to pay for software etc and cell phone use is more like a mini tablet these days. You use to upload designs (on the go) for your products or like now for training etc. Print on Demand business
Excellent! Thank you!
Thanks!
Great your the Best!!
Thank you for sharing this video. I am self-employed in my Bookkeeping and Accounting business. What is the right way to reimburse myself when I use my cellphone in my business? I think this is the only thing applying to me. Please let me know. Again, I thank you, so much, for the video you just recently shared.

That's impossible to answer - it's based on YOUR AMOUNTS! Your total income and expenses, your filing status, dependents, credits, deductions, etc...
