- Barkey says he was lied to by this movie, Curt Siodmak's "Love Slaves of the Amazons" (1957). An archeologist is convinced to go up the Amazon in search of a lost tribe of women, his expedition being overrun by treasure hunting river pirates. Are these Amazons on a par with Linda Carter, or Olive Oyl? Barkey brings the truth!

Like Ginger Grant said, "It's the kind of film that would make a boy and girl leave a drive-in movie."
Good 😊

Subscribed! Great review! Thank you.
I know there is a kind of British comedy remake (that also spoofs Tarzan) called Carry On Up The Jungle and an episode of Futurama as well.
I just found this channel a couple days ago and I love it. This is great! Hilarious, but the reviews are good. I'm an amateur puppeteer and find whoever is doing Barkey the dog to be doing an excellent job. I agree with pretty much everything he says and am beginning to wonder if this isn't done by an alternative me in a different universe.
Hey, thanks for that!
This is in no way fictional or even far-fetched. Hence, the actual name of the river. The Amazon. It therefore, must be completely true. Otherwise, why would that river have such a name in the first place. Case closed.
This was a bad movie a huge bait and switch, but not as bad as Naked Lunch.
Is this a documentary about Jeff Bezos??
How did I miss this one? Sounds like a classic.
Well... it *sounds* like one, sure enough.
Curt Siodmak was a brilliant man with a very distinguished career. This film he probably made when he was down in Brazil making Curucu Beast of the Amazon (another movie that Lies!) I can Not understand why he would talk up these garbage movies in later years but not say anything about 'Earth vs' which everyone including me loves. Just because he got to direct Beverly Garland down there probably. (Word has it that he offered her the lead in this movie but she decided to work on the TV series 'Decoy' instead.)
