I saw this movie, on Turner Classic probably, and you are correct, it has quite the WTF quality. i would watch it again, it was interesting and kept you from changing the channel. The costumes, and the crowd scenes, and especially the disaster, have to be seen to be believed. There's nothing like a Pre-Code movie!

All versions of the story are good enough for me.

Good movie, but in the end, it chickens out of its own premise. It would make a good double feature with G.I. Samurai, though. While they were in the past, they could have warned somebody about Vietnam. Just sayin'.

What was it about 80s movies with women falling in love with guys who were time travelers, aliens, or something else? This movie, Starman, Earth Girls Are Easy, etc.

Wow, Barkey, you went dark there at the beginning. Considering how good the movie is, it's kinda amazing Disney didn't milk it for all its worth. You know, back when they were tolerable.

It's funny the advisor has alien technology, and he's more concerned about a scandal. It shows a real lack of focus.

I remember watching this on TBS in the 80's when I was a kid. The ending where he comes across the 3 dead cosmonauts lying near their lander stuck in my mind for nearly 40 years so it must have been pretty shocking.

I saw a movie called _Tunnelvision_ in a theater in the late 70s I thought was hiliarious. Hadn't become aware of the others you reviewed in this video until years later. Kinda wish you'd included _Tunnelvision._
