Yeah this is a great video, but it sounds like he has another audio track in there by accident which makes it hard to understand what he’s saying.

Hard faction to use. I used to hate them and thought they were really bad. But when my micro improved, they became my favorite faction because of how fun and dominant they can be if the mobility game is executed flawlessly. But still, I don't think even the current best Empire players have fully mastered this faction. Empire badly needs their missing units specially the dogs (against Vanguard units which the Empire is really prone and at a huge disadvantage because effective Empire units are quite expensive), their meat-shields (Halflings), their damage dealing infantry (aside from semi-expensive Great-Swords, the Empire's front roster is criminally weak which is a big negative for the faction that requires the most micro), and the long range rifle (if the infantry is not available then this one should be because the current artillery and range roster can't soften the incoming enemies enough in many cases unlike what the Skaven and Tomb Kings can do, Empire should match teh deadly range of these two factions with a weak melee infantry line). And anyone would love to see Karl Franz riding that Imperial Dragon. Empire was a scary faction to face in table top, many people thinks it was top 1 or 2, diversity and team play is really fleshed out. It is not in Total War Warhammer though as anyone with huge numbers advantage is very likely to trample (unless the Empire user's micro is elite level). Also, it is kinda unfair that all the other factions (except Chaos) have almost complete unit rosters and only missing heroes, that's why they have a wide range of tactics that is friendly for beginners.

Yeah indeed totally hear you on that.. Empire has all the tools but not really a master at any one in particular so have to really think about your specific setup.. I quite enjoy it and will be posting more live battles as Empire in the future :)

I wondered what the purpose of war wagons was for a while too, until I got decent at monster factions, specifically wood elves. Had the same question about Tree Kin, and ultimately found their role to be an anchor for infantry blobs threatened by high mass attackers like shock cav and monsters.
I've found war wagons (guns) effective when running any more defensive (cheap) builds heavy on infantry and missile units against factions with a lot of large monsters or cavalry. Plop them into the spot of your link you think is about to get charged by some monstrosity or cav line and let their mass protect the infantry line from being disrupted. Plus they get to shoot over the infantry's head, so constant dps. Doesn't justify bringing many, but it can be worth it to throw one or two in as a splurge unit for the stack if you find your guys are being rag dolled a lot. Quite powerful mixed with spears or halberds looking for fights with large entities like mammoths, but can even be used just to keep units without charge defense from getting rolled. Not necessarily game changing, but useful to plug the holes.
The mortar war wagon is a bit more niche, but it can be nice in campaign if you're running more of a dive build with a lot of cav for 1-turn autoresolving settlement battles and for a little extra rangee dps for clearing out pockets of anti-large chaff while the cav do their work (which might otherwise be challenging for normal artillery to get into position for in time unless you're playing defensively, especially if you're on a map where the AI posts up a way out of range of your placement zone). Also great that they have enough mobility and survivability to protect themselves without much babysitting, so not a lot of need to dedicate more than maybe 1 additional unit to keep them safe, if any at all.
The helblaster one is actually the most viable imo, since it has about as many models as a regular helblaster, but gets the added benefit of being on the raised platform, so less line of sight issues and easier to reposition, which is generally the normal helblasters biggest weakness. Also, fun fact about these is that you can stutter step them like ranged units in starcraft to chase down fleeing units, almost like they have fire while moving. As soon as the gates open to release a volley, tell them to start moving again and theyll finish the shooting animation. Not ideal, but a bonus point for a role they can fill if required.
Imo, they really have 2 niches they fill well: 1) bolstering chaff armies for relatively low cost (since you only need one or two), and 2) providing a more mobile alternative to normal artillery and ranged for more aggressive builds, especially on larger maps or areas with a lot of water. Another bonus point is while way slower, they can fill the skirmish cav role when going up against factions that tend to bring fast harass units that might otherwise make keeping skirmish pistoliers or outriders alive more micro-intensive than it's really worth. Not that they'll perform incredibly well against those kinds of harassers, but the high armor and consistent 360 ranged dps while also engaged in melee means they won't get erased if they're caught out.
Now, most of this is from a campaign perspective, not into multiplayer much anymore, but I could see these potentially being mixed in to some effect, depending on the map and matchup. Especially if you consider the increased mobility and greater survivability meaning less attention needed to babysitting.

I've already tried all factions besides DE, Lizards and Pirates, and most difficult rosters to comprehend for me are Empire(thanks for the video again!) , High Elves and Dwarfs. Lots of options and It seems like they have many units with the same battle role and it difficult to choose between them.
Though any faction guide is welcome, in the end I want all of them :)

I think you got a dislike from a Halberdier as you were rather hard on them... :( Upgraded with KF red skills and his Lord ability, stick a priest close by and they will hold the front line better than the ludicrously more costly Greatswords...

Well they do have probs the best cavalry and artillery in the game, as well as top 4 magic and average to good infantry. So how are they average at everything. I consider them mostly elite at every aspect besides infantry and obviously monsters

yeah that stuff drives me batty. I didnt notice if he says mealy instead of melee but thats the most annoying one. His reasoning is pretty strange sometimes as well, he doesnt like the white wolves because he hasnt taken them into battle before so has no way of knowing if theyre worth it and he thinks the knights of the blazing sun are the same as reiksguard but with fire attacks so can only be for wood elves and vampires and are otherwise a waste of money ignoring that they are better in almost every way including significantly faster which is worth loads on a cavalry unit on its own. He also doesnt seem to think that the longer range and arc of fire and stalk of huntsmen makes for an useful/interesting/meaningful alternative to free company who have half the range and direct fire so it feels like hes just talking about how he likes to play rather than providing an objective view. I cba with other examples but im sure hes very good at the game and everything and much better than me.... lol was writing this and heard mortor!!!! wtf? Never heard that pronunciation lol. Its wrong, sorry but it is definitely wrong. MortAr.

If there’s one thing I hate it’s a youtube saying “I don’t know how to pronounce this”, and then pronouncing it in 3-4 different ways... can’t be bothered to check a damn dictionary before the video, which would take less time than going over all the iterations while live. Flagellants. Flagellants. Flagellants.
For the love of god, open a dictionary before sitting dowm to do a video.
