Scourge is a complete loser, and I mean that in the best way possible. While Sonic can be kind of cocky at times, he has a good head on his shoulders and has confidence in himself. Scourge... does not. He's a coward and a bully, who's driven by a need to validate himself and is so obsessed with being different from Sonic that his entire motivation for being a villain in the first place revolves around him. Hell, his response to Sonic saying that he'd be like him if he was just less selfish and a better person was to double down on being a villain. Another thing to consider is that unlike Sonic's world, Moebius didn't have a Great War. There was no evil tyrant invading or trying to take over. Sonic's been fighting against Robotnik even as a kid, and those years of fighting, hardship, and suffering have toughened him up and given him a lot of experience. Scourge has none of that. He's got the raw strength, but none of the refined technique that his counterpart has. His so-called conquest was really only him beating up a bunch of local warlords and crowning himself king, and his first conquest with the Anti-Freedom Fighters wasn't that impressive either, because all he did was take over a likely heavily demilitarized planet that simply didn't have an effective means of stopping him. And while driving the Freedom Fighters out of their own base was admittedly impressive, he immediately hit a roadblock when he went up against Metal Sonic. Scourge is, at his core, nothing more than a thug with superpowers, driven by a constant, self-crippling need for validation. To appear to be a mighty conquerer who commands fear and respect from everyone around him. A comment I saw put it accurately when they said that Scourge is too insecure to change become a better person because in his eyes, that would take away what sets him apart from every other Sonic in the multiverse, essentially robbing him of his individuality.
I mean he kinda is mighty Like the only reason he lost is because he was jumped multiple times while having a mental breakdown And even then he was still winning

it's crazy, cause i had those comics and even as a kid, i liked the idea of "evil sonic." looking how far he came since then, it's mind blowing, cause now i'm 40 yrs old and i would have never guess he'd still be relevant and as unique as he is. je's no longer just a sonic clone.
I'm pretty sure the color swap was meant to be a nod to the Asura glitch from Sonic 1... or was it Sonic 2? I forget which. But I'm also pretty sure that glitch is why Surge from the IDW comics has a black circle on her face.
Bro, they should be a series with scourge the hedgehog I think that will bring a lot of people enjoying the series if they make a series of the Archie comics I will be so happy. I’m hoping they will do that in the future.😅😅
