0:37: have you had enough? 4:15: the cost of giving up 7:33: they're all around us 10:57: yesterday 11:45: crystallized (my favorite 🌟) 14:53: vital 18:14: push go 21:47: nothing 25:17: the center's falling out 27:45: hey there 29:14: negative spaces 32:08: surviving on defiance 35:38: new way out 39:00: tomorrow 39:53: halo
This album mixes a series of metal styles with hard rock, electro industrial, synthwave and punk. Poppy managed to mix it all and still keep the album cohesive. ARTIST!!!!!!!!!❤
Moriah's music has been part of my life for nearly 7 years now and she just keeps getting better with every new album she drops. The song she did with Knocked Loose "Suffocate" has been nominated for the best metal performance Grammy. Regarding "Crystallized " it is a highlight track and pop done by Poppy tends to be a cut above most. Negative Spaces has something for everybody and Poppy is not a musical snob, Poppy rocks!
i saw Poppy in 2020 before the lockdown and it was awesome. i bet its even better now. Poppy combines sounds of Madonna to White Zombie to HOLE to NIN (and many more). there are some moments in this album that give me chills. the last 45 seconds of the center is falling out is so sick. and we get her yelp and her blegh.
#albumoftheyear for sure!! Poppy has been working so damn hard to get out from under her old persona that was enforced by f**k-face Sinclair & sculpt herself a new identity & path that is her own!!! She's killin it simply by being herself. 🙌❤❤
After the Linkin Park disappointment of an album this feels even more insane, definitely aoty for me, Jordan's production compliments Poppy's style so much it's unreal
14:04 wait until you find out before she made those pop songs and playing as a robot character in a white background she actually made covers of pop and country songs and had a southern accent (those songs are very rare to find now since she takes them down) the poppy lore is crazier than people think
If I recall the production is done by Jordan Fish, he just recently stopped producing for Bring Me The Horizon after being with them since I think 2012.
This is for sure AOTY for me. Vital is my fav song on it. Gives me Dayseeker/BMTH vibes. Obviously the BMTH vibes come from Jordan being the producer but still, this song in particular just sounds very BMTH to me.
This album screams nostalgia! From everything from late 90's early 2000's electronica, techno pop, alternative rock & grunge, punk this has it all. I never fully listened to a Poppy album before but this had my interest from start to finish really good album. I will say I am more of a fan of her clean vocals compared to her screams I can take her screams in small doses but a full song of her just screaming doesn't do it for me. Crystalized, Vital, Push Go, Negative Spaces, Surviving On Defiance & Halo standout tracks for me.
Didn’t expect to be so blown away by this album! Absolutely love it. On another note, have you ever listened to Cane Hill? They just released an album that I have on repeat. Another AOTY contender for me
considering her evolution artistically, this album kinda sums up her sounds cohesively, like, definitive Poppy sound is in Negative Space. in her Am I A Girl and I Disagree (More) it's more experimental and colorful but kinda jumpy from track to track, FLUX is more grunge, punk, with some metal here and there, EAT EP is her hardes metal sounds, and ZIG is dark-ish powerpop nu-metal sounds. love her so much.
I gotta admit it... I din't find the album great on the 1st listen. I guess that’s because I reaaally appreciate more Poppy's ol' style, when the differences between the genres were more noticeable. BUT, I also have to admit that NS is a super cohesive album, and I have no doubt that I'll love it anytime soon
Most definitely. It veers into a different vibe soon after the intro. Also of note, billy corgan was fairly involved with the celebrity skin album. Ever notice the similarities between the intros to the tracks celebrity skin and bullet with butterfly wings?
I know this is very millennial of me lol but vital was giving me old Hilary Duff vibes especially how her voice sounded lol but this is my album of the year!

ARTIST!!!!!!!!!❤
YES 🤘🏻🔥
she covers the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s to make present day.
She has so many bangers just in this 1 year. Including V.A.N & Suffocate
shes crazy with the amount she releases. 4 albums in 4 years, literally spoiling her fanbase LOL
Poppy really made the album of the year, she is incredible! ❤

What a banger of an album. 'Nothing' is a contender for best song of 2024

It's wild that frikin Poppy can put out a better album than Linkin Park. Even tho I enjoyed make them Suffer more, Negative spaces is hella good.
Negative spaces is goated album, i prefer it to Lp ngl. But have you thought about reacting to Dark Divine - Deadly Fun album?
Fav album of 2024 🔥👏
#albumoftheyear for sure!! Poppy has been working so damn hard to get out from under her old persona that was enforced by f**k-face Sinclair & sculpt herself a new identity & path that is her own!!! She's killin it simply by being herself. 🙌❤❤
Hell yeah! 🤘🏻🔥
Best description I've heard. Angry angel.
Whatever the case, I love it.
🤘🏻🔥
After the Linkin Park disappointment of an album this feels even more insane, definitely aoty for me, Jordan's production compliments Poppy's style so much it's unreal
Linkin Park sucks. Always has. Jock metal. Poppy on the other hand, fucks.
I really enjoyed listening to this album with you, I love you😭
I’m glad you enjoyed! 🫶🏻

That’s crazy!
@@SFutureReacts yess she has been doing music since 2011
If I recall the production is done by Jordan Fish, he just recently stopped producing for Bring Me The Horizon after being with them since I think 2012.
Correct! 👍🏻🖤
So glad that someone is reviewing this !!!
🤘🏻🖤
"Halo" is the best song from her by far. Its so powerful and beautifully put together 🔥
I can’t say it’s my favorite but it’s definitely great! 🤘🏻🔥
24:33 How adorable ❤
Nothing is for sure my favorite track on the album, the breakdown goes so hard
YES 🤘🏻🔥
Have you ever listened to Poppy's album I Disagree? It came out back in 2020 but it's honestly on par with NS's quality.
I have not!
@@SFutureReacts you definitely should!! it was her big metal outbreak, mixing bubblegum-pop and metal
@@SFutureReacts
It's her magnum popus I'm sure you'd enjoy if you give it a spin sometime!!
Idk if you noticed that a lot of these tracks had seamless transitions between eachother

I love her music it's so good and every album gets better

Crystalized is so damn catchy! The whole album is 🔥
💯🔥

This album is actually better than the New Linkin Park in my opinion. I don't know how many times I've repeated Halo and Vital
Agreed 🤘🏻
Love ittt
This album is one of the best things to happen this year. Alongside the new LP album. 💙
🤘🏻🔥
So many Trent Reznor NIN vibes
That Stonecold000000whatever in chat knows they can just watch TH-cam on a private tab with a popup blocker and they wouldn't have to see ads, right?
It was Twitch 👍🏻
Negative Spaces, the song, definitely took inspiration from Celebrity Skin by Hole.
Most definitely. It veers into a different vibe soon after the intro.
Also of note, billy corgan was fairly involved with the celebrity skin album. Ever notice the similarities between the intros to the tracks celebrity skin and bullet with butterfly wings?
It reminded me of Veruca Salt in places
@@Lord_Heron definitely!
@@Lord_Heron love veruca salt
27:53 bro what ? 😭
I got call of duty voice chat flashbacks 😭💀
I know this is very millennial of me lol but vital was giving me old Hilary Duff vibes especially how her voice sounded lol but this is my album of the year!
