    I bought these recently, and I've got 2 things to say:
    1) The glass is probably the cleanest nd I have used before, it adds a very subtle green tint. Sometimes I don't even have to adjust for the tint because it is so subtle. And it is really nice having control over the polarizer as well.
    2) This is the clunkiest vnd I have ever used. Because you need 2 hands to adjust the nd (like he did in this video) I usually have to put my camera on the ground to adjust it. That is a biiiiig pain when shooting video, especially when you're using a gimbal, it almost made me return the filters immediately. Buttttt the glass was so clean and the polarizer was so useful, that I decided to keep them.
    I think it's really cool that you guys keep trying to make your products better and better, and I'm sure you'll solve that clunky problem in the future. But yeah, that's my experience. Love what you guys are doing!

      Any VND/PL will need 2 hands to operate because you have to spin the two elements against each other, then also be able to spin them at the same time (to polarize).
      The Recon VND/PL filter has mechanisms for 1 handed operation but it ends up being a huge filter with those built in

    Great video. Question is the VND 2-5 Kit the same filter that comes in the 2-5 VND/PL maglock?

      The VND/PL is a different filter it’s a polarizer too

    I agree with some of the feedback about the annoyance of needing two hands to adjust the vnd or PL. I wonder if it would be possible to create some sort of a mechanism where you could slide something up or down to choose which one you want to adjust? Then it could be one handed? The product is awesome tho, that’s just my one piece of feedback for your team. I have the black mist vnd/PL and it’s the best all in one filter I’ve ever owned. Hands down.

      There is a mechanism which can lock the one filter in place while you rotate the other. We did it on the recon VND/PL but it makes the filter huge. We chose to keep the thread on filters super compact instead of blowing them up an extra 20mm in diameter

    Is a Chroma VND without the polariser possible? I would love the clean colours of the Chroma glass without having the issue of using both hands to adjust the stops.

      Yah we are working on a few things over here

    Questions,
    So what’s the difference between the VND PL and VND PL black mist?
    And can you set the VND to 0 and just use the PL

    I’m thinking about getting some of your maglock filters if my lenses are mostly 77mm should I get the 82mm filters or 77mm ? 😊

      The MagLock filter is one size, so you just need to grab base plates to thread onto your lenses. So even if you get an 82mm lens later on, you just need the 82mm base plate and the Helix Filter will click right onto it

    Does the helix version have the hard haptic stops as well similar to the threaded one?

    Can these be stacked with another ND to increase the stop value ? Like screw on or maglock ?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      you could put a threaded ND or MagLock ND behind the VND

    Hey guys this is the best filter i have ever used. The only issue i have is when the camera is on the gimbal its not easy to adjust the nd with one hand. Any tips?

      This is designed to be a two handed adjustment. The other option was to increase the diameter dramatically and build more infrastructure in the frame which we opted not to do. Appreciate the feedback, we are always improving our product lines

    So what if you don't want to use the VND and only the CP. Is there a way to just use the CP and have the VND not active?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Drop the VND to 2 stops, it’s very close to shooting with just a polarizer that is 1.6 stops

    hey! dumb question but the Chroma VND/PL Black Mist is an upgrade from the Everyday Filter?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really an upgrade, it’s just got a VND built in

    So basically, if I want to just use the CPL and I have the 6-9 kit, I'm SOL or would need to just buy the CPL by itself?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yah those are two completely different filters, a 6/9 polarizer is for reducing a lot of light and polarizing. If you don’t need 6/9 stops of light reduction you just need a polarizer (or a 2/5 polarizer, which can get you close to the same properties as a polarizer)
