I like your solution and your way of explaining. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge. I was on the fence about buying ND filters because of the stabilization issues. I'm glad I found your video. 4K 24fps shutter 1/96 4K or 5K with Fps X4 . Wrote it all down 😉😊. You're a legend. Thank you
Good advice, I used it on my motorcycle trip, but I can still see the mountain tops in the distance shaking, trembling, whatever. So for me, as I want to capture the beautiful scenery while riding, in full details, the motion blur will be cancelled. I'd rather not have any motion blur than come up after 5 hrs of riding with shaky landscapes all around. But probably for slower paced footage, the settings you proposed would work great. Cheers !
Yeah, it’s the best way to use go pro with ND, coz without ND u need amazing location to have good picture, but with a filter everything looks more cinematic, more pleasing to your eyes.
Thanks man,Great Video❤️ a small tip for motovloggers it is better to have less stablisation during motorcycle rides to bring that cinematic feel,i personally do 4k/30 with the shutter speed 1/60 and hypersmooth turned on.(Gopro hero 9)these settings work great for me cause it gives the feeling of speed and that raw cinematic footage.🎥
Yes brother, this is the best solution what I found, coz for the Vlog maybe it’s ok to use auto shatter, but for the bikes or more cinematic videos is disgustingly to use auto shatter !
Hi from Italy, I bought the ND filters a few days ago and I didn't know how to best use them when filming my rides with enduro motorbike. Thanks to you I now know how to do it, but how can I best adjust the exposure of my GoPro 10 action camera? Thank you very much
U should remember that stabilization will be not the same, like in auto settings ! For the Moto rides I think it’s good to mount camera on the helmet or chest and used ND16 or ND32 depending of the weather and sun. 4-5k 30fps or 25fps 25fps can be more cinematic ( 1/100 shutter) 30fps - a bit more smoother (1/120 shutter) If u want to mount camera on bike, not on your body or helmet is better to shoot without ND and auto shatter speed
@@liveartlife thank you 4 solution! But do you have any videos explained "what the time which ND (4/8/16/32....") can be used?" I never use ND32 because i saw it was too dark footage! Yesterday my place had a lightly stormy, still had Light above from the sky but no Sun. I have tested with ND8, quite well Light Footage but seems i lost some details of Cloud (because too many LIGHT in there, like Overexpos). My Setting always 60fps - 100/400iso - Auto White BL- 1/120 SS. Thank you so much! I hope you reply and help me. @@liveartlife yeah. I tried it out. I do paragliding videos. I think i landed on full auto on shutter. Where i miss the motion blur is durong takeoff and landing. Thanks for the tip anyway :) work mush better than dobble framerate
Ohh bro For paragliding u don’t need motion blur ! Of course ! It’s good for cinematic videos, some type of vlogs, cars, motorcycles, and etc For action sports I think it’s unnecessary!

@ 3:41 , so you're recommending 4k or 5k 30fps with 1/120 shutter for best motion blur and stabilization? Im using my gopro for racing on a bike. and just got my nd to avoid jitter footage.
Yes u can try 4k or 5k with 30fps and ND filters, and if u like the results u can use it for the future. Coz I prefer with motion blur when I drive Moto, without ND it’s more stable picture but looks cheap and poor.
@@wheelcalls u should use ND 1000, something like this. U can use also night mode photo, to have long exposure, and ISO min 100, max 100. But unfortunately I don’t used GoPro for photos, coz I have mirrorless camera for this.

I also tried several settings and found for myself that I do not want motion blur (in my case) but I do want the hypersmooth. Yeah, but if u using with mine method u will have a great picture ! Only be careful if it’s evening or dark situation, just always check before filming! Usually I used ND 8 or ND 16, ND 32 only at summer time in the middle of day.

Thanks mate, I'll definitely try these settings with my brand new Freewell nd/pl filters kit. Best from Romania 👍
Do it with 25 or 30fps if u want to see more smooth picture, if u want more blur so it's 24fps )

I using standard or high with ND filters
Thank you!
Thank you
Kudos to you! But can I still use the ND32 for 24fps 1/100 with stabilization on?
I'm a newbie mountain biker on trails that's why I need a fast looking video but still super smooth stability.😂
Also 24fps u will have really strong motion blur.
So u can test what it will be better for u (24 or 25 or 30fps )
be careful with ND 32, usually ND 16 can be enough.

great tip!
Great advice but if I had a nd 8 or 16 what would the settings be ?
Doesn’t matter which filter u have, settings all the same, but if it will be to bright outside, u need to buy ND32 I think.
nd 8 or 16 on a sunny day will be much brighter and you can use high shutter to lessend the brightness, the problem you will loss some motion blur
Can these settings be used even when riding a motorcycle?
yes, why not !
25fps shutter is 1/100 in my opinion is a great choice.
What would you recommend for TH-cam for best quality to shoot i do all my editing on phone app and upload, for the average joe ?
best quality will be 60fps to be honest, coz the bitrate higher.
But I prefer on gopro 4r 30fps, but 60 will be higher bitrate.
