"Why would they (other supreme beings) be here?" Logically, they wouldn't. But he's not thinking logically, but emotionally. He's lonely and that has been magnified by his coming here and is hoping against hope that some of them somehow ended up here.
"Why is he giving them world tier items?" Because the holder of a world item is immune from the effects of other world items. He is giving them world items, not to use, but simply to provide passive defense
One of the real reasons why Ainz wants to fight alone is that he sees all the creatures of Nazerick as his and his friends children. He doesn't want to see them fight each other like parents wouldn't want their own children fighting each other.
It was explained poorly in the anime, but Ainz is on another world like in a different dimension, not trapped in the game. This anime has different depths of perspective, as there are technically three different views to consider in every interaction. 1) There is Ainz, a human who played the DMMORPG Yggdrasil, and then was transformed into his undead game character. He is a human turned undead acting as a Supreme Being in Nazarick, which is also not from this world. His understanding of the NPCs and of the magic in this world is peerless, as he knows all the tricks and game mechanics. 2) There are the NPCs from Nazarick. They don't know that they were video game characters. To them they are the very real creations of actual gods. They think that Nazarick is effectively heaven, as it is the home of the gods that made them, and they are also aware that they are in another world. The NPCs use game terminology but don't think of it that way. 3) Then there are the natives of this world, who are unaware of the fact that there are now extradimensional beings among them. This world has fantasy elements and magic similar to the game, but they don't think of it as game mechanics, rather it is no different from the laws of physics in the universe. The green light is coming from his undead body, which acts to supress his emotions whenever he feels anything too strongly, since he is now an unfeeling undead. It isn't an external force changing him from the outside, but an internal force from the body he inhabits affecting him from the inside.
I have watched the anime 3 times and I can tell you that it was definitely explained that he is in ANOTHER world. Not the same place that the tomb of nazarick had been, all the npc's are alive, he can use magic, and he is his character. I think in the sub Ainz even said that he was in another world, yep I just can't agree with you on that.
The idea with Pandora's box is that she was told to not open it, but did so and let all the plagues out for the world, realised her mistake and rushed to close the box and only managed to do so before she let "hope" escape into the world and become a mortal thing that is finite and withers. All the ills of the world that were released have seasons, they age and die like anything else, but Hope springs eternal as it's still connected to the immortal and as Humans we can interact with that through our souls and get blessings from the Gods that give out hope.
Sweet little Mare bashes in the adventurer's head and wants Ains to tell him if he did a good job. Ains is always ready to experiment with any bodies of interest in making new zombies. The ultimate nerdyness of Ains gets revealed with Pandoras Actor, the shape shifter who can take on the shape of any of the 41 Supreme Beings. The red orb in Ains' body is a world class item so he should be safe from world tier mind control attempts.
Ainz wanted to deal with Shaltear alone and have no information released. He also didn't know what to expect and wanted to have as much control as possible. That is why he killed the adventures and didn't want them to come in the first place, they were potentially annoyance to possible obstacle. As to part of the reason Ainz wants to fight as said is closer to a test than pride imo. Ainz was the guild leader/manager but not the best fighter of the guild. He loved the role playing aspect of game that he design his character and abilities all round that aspect. However he knows more about the game and abilities than anyone else. He has a limitation he can never overcome in a game but in this real world there could be a differences here an there. Its the great irony his character build was not optimized for the games PvP but in real world he has so many powers and random skills that make him one of the most powerful people in this world if used properly at the right times.
I think the "Albedo issue" is an amazing bit of writing, and a fascinating moral quandry to pick apart. As it calls into question big issues such as the very nature of free will, the responsible use of power, and what makes a person a person; and everyone will set their own lines in different places, for different reasons. Yes, most obviously there is the consent issue. Ainz/Momon/Satoru changed Albedo's settings without permission, and without knowing what the consequences would be, because he didn't view her as a real person. As a result, Albedo has no choice now but to love him, and that is pretty gross. On the other hand, Albedo doesn't have any choice about any of her other settings either, such as the ones that make her haughty or sadistic, which were set as to her original creator's whims for a "contradictory" character. If Momon didn't change that one setting, Albedo would have been just as equally "forced" to be a "b*tch" when the world became real, (which, since this is a Japanese story, was meant as the derogatory for a "promiscuous" woman, rather than the English meaning of a derogatory for an assertive woman.) But on the OTHER, other hand, the very nature of a setting meaning Albedo loves Momon, might make it nearly impossible for her to object to the change in her personality settings in the first place; even if she otherwise would have had a mind to with her original settings. SO, if Momon had the power right now to change her back, and asked for her consent to do so, she would definitely say no. So would it be appropriate to disregard her wishes now, for her supposed own good? Would two wrongs then make a right? Continuing the flip-flops and sticky questions: Does anyone have a choice about anything they do, or is every action one takes simply the result of your physical brain structure doing chemical math comparing past experience and current circumstance? That free will doesn't exist for anyone, and never has? Free will question aside, has anyone, ever, had a choice about who they felt love towards? Can such a thing as consent, or an equal relationship, even exist between a mortal and what they percieve as a god? If Albedo's obsession with Momon was part of her original settings, would it then be okay for her to pursue Momon? For him to respond in kind? Shaltear is just as obsessed with Momon, even without a direct setting saying she should be, (Momon falls into one or more of her kinks, as set by her creator, but love and lust are different) is her affection therefore more pure than Albedo's somehow? Is it fair to deny someone you claim to care about, something they need to feel complete, out of a personal sense of guilt or shame? Because while Ainz/Momon/Satoru struggle with all these questions and moral quandries, the fact remains that Albedo is a thinking feeling person who is genuinely suffering from unrequited love. And seemingly doomed to remain so forever. Ainz may view all the Nazarick NPCs as the beloved children of his dear friends, and his undead nature makes him less and less interested in (and capable of) romance, so nothing is likely to ever happen. On the one hand, that is good, for all the sticky reasons mentioned and unmentioned; on the other hand, that is just so very sad, as it leaves two lonely people standing in a cold throne room, each unable to give the other what they need. Like I said, brilliant writing. A "will they, won't they" with actual stakes and genuine complications, while riding the line between hilarious and sad.
‼️The whole story is not taking place within the game‼️ Ainz and all the NPC's along with his guild were transported to another world 😅 in chapter 2 that information is clearly stated (and in the Light Novel that is even more detailed) I'm saying it now I see that you, like many who only watch the anime, mistakenly think that Ainz is trapped in the game, I just wanted to clarify that, since it's not for nothing that Ainz wants to conquer this new world and spread his name, so that in case there are more players there in your same situation or your old friends are there I can help you 👍 (this is also said in the anime throughout this first season)
Fun thing about bunny ears on Nabe There is a whole set which includes tail and legs(I think). If you put on whole set and if you are female character, you automatically dress into bunny suit
Ainz goes into more about his reasons for facing off with Shalltear in detail in the next couple episodes - what he says to his subordinates is through the filter of the role/persona he plays. It may have a logical truth, but his inner voice is more accurate about his personal desires and motivations. But you've likely watched that on Patreon already. There may be more meaning in the name Pandora's Actor, but that's nothing I know the author has made clear in 15 light novels. So up to the reader/watcher interpretation, I guess. My theory is that it sounded cool to a cringe Japanese RPG player to assign a mythological reference from a western culture to their creation. Kinda like 'Demiurge' or 'Albedo' or 'Tabula Smaragdina'. Same reason he programed Pandora's Actor to wear a military uniform and speak in German. Ah, the shame when the cringe suddenly becomes real. 🤣
I personally prefer the dubbed version, especially in reactions such as these. So many other reactors react to the subbed version that it's a breath of fresh air to be watching someone react to the English version. Also, the joke with Pandora's Actor speaking German was pulled off a lot better in the dub.
Same. Was a shame she swapped over. Overall I think the dub cast is better, but tbh I just always prefer the dub unless it's just a bad translation or is poorly acted; overlord dub is neither
I don't really care about the voice acting in this anime except Narberal, I can't stand her English voice but dub's translation is better than sub it makes it easy to understand some dialogues.

The green light is one of Ainz’s own passive skills due to being an undead. It can’t be turned off, but it is not an outside influence.

Some NPCs are level 100 like Ainz so they are just as powerfull.
