If you are working in a job earning $100,000 a year and get offered 1 million to do the same thing ,what would you do. Seriously ,why are people questioning this.
Liv is global and you can promote golf in your home country. Its been massive in Australia. Wish they had more events in Australia. We have been starved for years of the great professional golfers
Getting young players is what Liv is gonna do. I'm sure there's some kind of hold until a deal gets done. They already signed a kid out of college for Martin Kaymer's team. I'm think theres a clause to not get any pga players until the deal is done. I think they are waiting for US justice to approve the deal, and it's done already. Liv is not gonna just sit back and wait , they are still gonna try and get players who have potential.
PGA leadership and their ability to define a strategy is right up there w/ Gen. Custer, "no worries, all good, we got this covered..." Getting the SSG money was a worst case scenario, enough to make PGA do nothing but not enough to go to war w/ the Saudi fund - young talent who's not played on the tour won't have anything to compare it with, and when they're offered cash-in-hand, who's gonna' turn that down?? As young talent drains away and the Scottie Scheffler's start to age-out, the writing is on the wall; in 10 years PIF will buy PGA for peanuts. PGA should do a deal now or watch their own demise.
I personally wouldn’t want to have to move to America. I’d much rather sacrifice my PGA Tour card to play LIV as long as I could still keep my DPWT card. Remember he’s 22 and LIV is an exciting tour and I imagine would appeal to him more.
That would be awesome. Went to BMW Wentworth and LIV JCB last year, different experience, but both quality events. Think it could really benefit both if they did, and European golf as a whole!
@Calmdown1354 I went to LIV Valderrama and LIV JCB which were both awesome especially JCB, Also went to LET, PGA Champions tour and Asian tour International series tournaments in 2024. Been to majors, Solheim cup, PGATOUR tournaments, sadly not Ryder cup. LIV is easily the most fun as a fan for me
@@shankedit65 Definitely agree, it's the best live event experience I've had!! I went to the first ever LIV at Centurion, and again the following year, but JCB is definitely a better venue! Valderrama looked quality, looking to attend either Korea or Hong Kong next year.
You have to be very good and consistently play good to stay on LIV, especially if this kid is 20 years old and hasn't established a boys network where he can be bailed out by a captain after poor play. If this kid is as good as people are saying, then it makes sense he jumps to a lucrative, cutthroat tour because he believes he has the talent to sustain LIV status.
@@brianclough9837 back in the day, you are absolutely correct. But those guys can barely break par these days. The reason being is that your promotes mediocrity. Now that they have guaranteed money, they don’t care if the shoot 99 or 59. Look at all the guys you just mentioned, only Brooks 2 years ago and Bryson last were the only guys from that tour that did anything. Last Brooks missed the cut in some of the majors and the ones he made the cut in, he either was nowhere in the hurt or shot the bed on the final day. Believe me, if these tours don’t merge, all those LIV players will be done. They can’t compete anymore with the PGA guys. They don’t have the edge, the Fire, the heart anymore. Look at the PGA v LIV challenge at Shadow creek. Scottie and Rory KICKED THEIR ASSES all over that course. They didn’t win shit….. they are washed up. It is very sad and unfortunately, but such as live. The LIV tour is where once great golfers go to die…… on let’s not forget Cameron Smith. That is the biggest loss for me. That guy’s was well on his way to be where Scottie is now. Now look at him. Has he even made a cut on the PGA when he gets to play????? That is what feeds will do to you….
The name of the game for a professional golfer is M O N E Y, not trophies. So the kid goes for the money not the enduring fame. He will never be mentioned in the same name as Bobby Jones. But, he will live a very comfortable life in golf obscurity. Money talks and integrity walks. Remember, in the early days of golf, money grubbing professionals weren’t even allowed in the clubhouse because they defiled the purity of the sport. LIV defiles the purity of the sport. He can still qualify for the open championships and if he is as good as you say, he might win. But until then he can crawl back under his LIV gold covered rock and play for teams nobody has heard about in shorts while drinking beers and whining that he doesn’t get qualifying points playing partial tournaments that nobody watches for their Saudi masters. But, they will be rich doing it. Oh well. So be it.
@ You are absolutely correct. However, he won’t get to play in the PGA major. He won’t get to play in the Master’s unless he is invited, or wins an Open Championship which he will have to play in a qualifier tournament. So there will be so hurdles in his way that would not be there if he played on the PGA tour. But he will be rich. We’ll have to see how this plays out.
Good luck for Tom. I’ve scored for him a couple times. He’s young and is looking to secure his future. Good on him!
Jang from South Korea signed for LIV, He is much more of a prodigy

Also, hes a callaway player, im happy to help you with stories if you need it
Yea hold your breath on that…..
Really enjoy these videos and your side of things in the golf world
I initially misread this as Rory McIlroy to join the LIV tour. Lols
Clickbait channel, so not surprising
Joining Nieman, Wolff, Serrat, Chacarra, Piot…it’s awesome to see.
i like liv golf. havent missed a round since it started.
Good luck to the lad oh I think he will be fine and he's a Callaway staffer, and it's McKibbin not Cabin
Liv is better to watch instead of watching 4 hours of ads with a couple of shots in between as the Pga Tour does.
Yes he's making the right decision.
Money Talks……..Tom M should join LIV and secure the 💰💰💰💰💰
Let’s hope his card goes to the player who he was in front of

This only makes it harder for the majors not to acknowledge Liv.
1. It’s McKibbin not McKabin
2. Callaway athlete not TaylorMade
That's the only knock on liv they already make their bag when they sign up.
Money talks, sad. As a swede i'm happy that Ludvig Åberg are playing on the PGA.
What a player!!!

They are trying to find players that represent many areas of the world,, not sure they have an Irish golfer.

You forget that golfers dont get paid unless they place well. Its a job. Hes securing his future if he goes!
Yeah I totoally agree but it’s an attractive thing for young golfers right?
it has always been about the money
So he can’t putt too?
LIV DP world merger makes 100% sense
I agree for DP
That would be awesome. Went to BMW Wentworth and LIV JCB last year, different experience, but both quality events. Think it could really benefit both if they did, and European golf as a whole!

Agreed. Can you imagine how big the DPW tour could be if all of the LIV guys started showing up to compete in their off weeks?

Givebup The Farmers or The Waste Management for millions in Dubai....??? I wouldn "t hesitate a nano second
I certainly hope he doesn't jump to LIV. Too many are going for the money.
Yes, and so they should, get paid, travel the world and secure your life.
I guess your still working for McDonald's, money doesn't matter.🙉
A snake will always shed its skin
Everybody does a job for money ??????
Sorry but there is ONLY one Rory McIlroy.
Yeah the biggest joke in golf
Thank God. As a Golfer he's great, but needs to just shut up and play golf.
He’s never the next anything….
Can we stop talking LIV forget them pga is brilliant
I love the pga tour!
AMEN!!!! That your doesn’t deserve any attention….. can wait for it to go away
Without
DJ
Koepka
Phil
Rahm-bo
Cam Smith
Bryson…
You can’t tell me a W on the pga tour means as much when you didn’t beat these guys

Don't lie to yourself. If he's truly good enough he'll win majors and if not he'll be rich. It's a win win for him.
