My best friend had a small golf shop in largo, FL, who ended up going to court against John Daily/Hooters back in the mid 2000's. His shop was called Bluecollargolf and he had every thing trade marked in the early 2000's. They (JD)came out with a line of clothing called Bluecollargolf and then tried threatening and bullying him about the name. He won in court and they paid him his court fees and stopped the name by pulling all the clothes out circulation and then rename it(loudmouth). It definitely was a David and Goliath story that the courts upheld the little guy.
I mean, the Jaguar 'leaping cat' figure is closer to the Puma 'leaping cat' figure.... but dont see them taking Jag to court..... so this is definitely a cash grab
@@becauseluken I disagree. Puma and Tiger are in the same market for God’s sake 🤣Tiger’s mark is definitely probable to cause confusion because of its similarities. Highly doubt that Tiger will win this one.

I don’t know. You can’t claim all cats for golf equipment logos because you have a Puma. Tigers 🐅 line has stripes. It’s a Tiger. There are other logos that look much closer to Sunday Red than Puma.
Its a rubbish logo. I wouldn't wear it. Looks like a Chinese knock off. He should have acquited the Frank Tiger. I assume Daphne's headcovers owns the rights? That is a great logo.
The funny thing is US teademark law is pretty specific. As long as your design is at least 10% different it’s not a problem! Puma is looking for a cash grab! They’re hoping for an out of court settlement!

The Slazenger cat logo trademark expired in 1999.

The Nike Jordan logo looks a lot more like the Puma logo.
A puma is also known as a cougar. A tiger is a tiger a much bigger critter with stripes tell them to get lost
When i saw Sundayred first, i never brought this in any relation to Puma. It was hard for me to see the
tiger😉
I think the old jaguar logo ought to sue Puma, oh never mind, they dropped the animal.
I see you wearing that Puma!!! I've got soo much Puma gear!!!
I looked at the Sun Day Red logo. Dissimilar. Puma to be embarrassed in court.
Nobody buys his sunday red garbage. So....not a big deal.
Why is it garbage ?
Watch Tiger end up just buying Puma. 🤣
Errrrrr. Not a chance. Puma turned over 6 billion last year…..
You talk about comparing the two logos and then you don’t show the two logos side by side throughout the entire video.
Got no chance, jaguar and slazanger look more similar to puma
Your video would be much better if you actually showed the logos in question instead of just reading from your computer screen.
What a joke a tiger and a puma are 2 differnt animals from completely difernt places and the tiger logo looks nothing like puma pure nonsense
When was the last time Tiger really leaped ? Maybe limping Tiger would be better
They just looking for easy money

Cash grab, just highlights how low pumas sales must be and how they are struggling as a brand in golf. Sunday red must really be a threat to them.
