    🙌🏾..... I myself left the USA 🇺🇸 in 2020 to live on the continent for a BIT, thought it would be for a few months BUT I couldn't fathom going back to the chaos and NOW here permanently, built a shelter and rural life allows you to BREATHE in a world full of masked 😷 chaos. Karibu Nyumbani!

    You made her do all the work, man 😁. She is awesome. "Some worker just painted the house white without being told." LOL LOL LOL welcome to Kenya. man. Happens to everyone every single time (fundis doing their own things.) You really have to supervise them very closely or they will do their own things. Beautiful house, congrats to you both!

    • @Braheems_world
      @Braheems_world  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were redoing most of the finishing because the workers just didn’t understand our goal I guess it was something new to them from a typical small town build. There’s a joke in my country: the second house is easier😅

    hi, I just want to tell you my opinion: I'm also planning to build a house in Kenya, but 15,000 dollars, compared to the square footage of the house, seems a bit expensive, but first things first, the stone blocks cost €0.34 per block ( 0.37) usDollars , that is about 3.4 euros per square meter (3.72 Dollars ) with what you spent, you could have built a 3-storey house at least 20 times bigger, you talk to someone who has been working for 2 years to your project

    How many watts was the solar panel and what brand. And how many amp hours was the battery?

    • @Braheems_world
      @Braheems_world  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for watching, it was some random brand from jumia. I think it was 100w but for the battery I’m not sure but it came as one package. I think it’s great as a back up of the grid

    "Some worker painted the house white without being told." LOL LOL LOL! Welcome to Kenya and Kenyan fundis! LOL. My fundis had a habit of making design changes as soon as I was off the property and by the time I got back it was too late to undo the changes. Terrible!

      Hi 👋 Joyce, Sheila here, I got the paint from jumia then more from the Duracoat store in Nairobi Mutithi road, I was at A paint store in Sarit, but they didn’t have the color I wanted they only had red and blue I think.

      @@candiceatwell1897 Check out Mekenze in Kenya. She lives in Meru with her family. They relocated from America. That may give you better insight on living in that particular county. I live in Machakos. 1 hour away from the capital. I like the convenience of being away but still close to Nairobi. I also have land in Malindi. The Kenyan coast. I will make that my holiday home and put it on airbnb
