I liked the interviewer. She was so friendly and her questions were what I would have asked. The house is very nice. Well done to them for building this.
You have done a wonderful job at presenting this! Your knowledge about building and physical beauty, mixed with being kind and friendly make such a lovely and balanced combination. Not easy being a female business owner (or presenting on TH-cam). You're doing a great job. ❤
I like that you don’t get to see the plumbing pipes and the house is simple. My understanding of the A frame is that it’s ideal in places there’s snow so that the snow does not accumulate on the roof.
hello am from kenya , nanyuki and am an engineer working on a similar a-frame home but use of timber on my project is the only difference ... awesome home❤
Loving the patio and downstairs design. They couls have been more adventurous with paint colours. Just needed a bit of that. But yeah, I would love to stay in an A Frame.
Ive become addicted to your channel since discovering your content. I have been saying for a long time that in a few years i will be living abroad and continuing my minimalist way of living. I LOVE EVERYTHING that ive seen and will be planning a trip to Africa (Ghana) soon! Thanks for the content and YOU are a beautiful!!! Thank you for your expertise!
Amoaa !! Lovely to watch you from Kenya .l wish we can have the same A frame shape buildings in the cool mountains of Ghana as simple natural sustainable living in the forest green areas ! Well done 👍
I have fallen in love with A-frames recently. I have started some new designs and have put up my first animation for a simple A-frame sleepout on my channel.
Amoaa, I am from Limuru Kenya and the "A Frame" design would really siut my environment well. Very well presented show as usual with good detail. I would like to see the designs of the improvements Thor has made from the prototype. Thank you for sharing his contact and for sharing the experience of this unique house design.
‼️ 1. He took credit for bringing the idea of the A structure build, when Africa has built with A structures for centuries. 2. How did his family get to own the land that his wife referred to? She also referred to foreigners abroad being the main people who stay there.. 🤔 So subtly / passively existent there. Interesting. From NYC, love to all. Bless.
I'm Kenyan and there are many Kenyan of British descent...4 generations born in Kenya. I don't know about these 2, but understand that just like the Europeans who settled in the U.S centuries ago, there are folks who also settled in Kenya besides the colonialism, as far back as the 13th 15th century Chinese, Arabs were at the coast.
Thank you. I've seen this place online in several places but never so extensively presented and in such detail, with the actual owners. Kudos to you and the cameraman.I enjoyed the video.
It's not the house that impressed me, the environment was what did it for me. Just imagine hanging outside with a glass full of ice tea on a cool summer evening.
Having subscribed to "Living big in a Tiny House" must have been the reason this was suggested to me. I enjoyed the whole video found 20:56 funny... I think minimalist can live in this kind of house long term😅. ❤
Nice small property. Love the A Frame concept but not for a permanent home for me, maybe a getaway home. Also this area is one of the most expensive areas in Nairobi. That land will cost at least $100K depending on the size.
Who else skipped the the conversation done at the door to see the interior 🤣hands up✋it was time wasting .next time let talking come last we Gona watch without skipping
It’s beautiful, the only uncertainty for me is having to go down those steep stairs in the middle of the night to relieve oneself while half asleep or tipsy!
Here in Canada we have great government regulations that help increase the build price substantially so few can afford this beautiful sustainable home. Where there is a possible cheap build, there is government red tape to increase the cost so it's no longer affordable for the low wage earners. No, no, no you're not allowed to pay off your home quickly on a labour salary, at least not here in Canada. High prices rule and you're not allowed to own property outright, only the house, then yearly property rental agreement,(known as property tax). This home itself will be $70 to $100kplus in Canada. We love cheap things to be expensive, the Canadian Way.
Why A-frame? It is a cheaper way to building using local materials, and combining the roof with the walls. The fact they are good for snow is an advantage that just doesn't apply in this case.
I definitely like the concept and innovation. I do have a concern in what happens in critical weather such as storms, and so forth. What preventative measures are there? Don't get me wrong I definitely like it just thinking of all angles.
In storms, the weakest parts of a building I believe are windows and openings. With the sides and back all being walls and the front recessed. I think it will do well in storms.
It seems like the W.P have the best business when it comes to building in Africa..and they have a unique house that's similar to Euro and American houses. Built in 3months and now they rent it out for AirBNB..I can't imagine the amount of revenue they will generate from investing return. They seem to have better opportunity than the Africans that live there.
I am watching this episode and I am reminded of a TH-cam channel called #Boxhop it has beautiful A Frame homes rented as airbnb of even people living in them in America. In all different climates. I like how they did the water.
Karen is ranked among the top 10 luxury hotspots in the world. The cost of land there is very expensive. That cost of that house is a dot compared to the price of the land it sits on. Infact, it is quite common for actual houses alone to cost much less than the land. When you add the cost of land then the property prices get very high.
Hi, are the Drawing architectural constructions files for sale?? I would like to duplicate this project in Baja California, Mexico. Please advice on this. Thank You!!
Omg! I was looking for this comment. I noticed the same thing! I said to myself she has a subtle stank attitude and acts like she doesn't want to do this.
I liked the interviewer. She was so friendly and her questions were what I would have asked. The house is very nice. Well done to them for building this.
I Was definitely thinking the same. Pleasure to watch😊
She is beautiful, obviously not just in a physical way. Great content all around😊

I would love to stay at this A frame airbnb in Nairobi. I saved the video for a future trip to Kenya.
Beautiful and warm A-frame house, Thank you for taking me around this beautiful house.

Your contact?
Is it the one in Naro Moru near Nanyuk that's recently been showcased on another channel? That one's on another level.
Loving the patio and downstairs design. They couls have been more adventurous with paint colours. Just needed a bit of that. But yeah, I would love to stay in an A Frame.

They really are! This is the first I have seen in person and I was so so fascinated by it. Thanks for watching, Tamika!

That would be something really special to see😍 Thanks for watching, Elizabeth!
Shalom, Salaam Alaikum, A frame house are all over the North Carolina Mountains! I luv the blue bedding! Also luv Amoaa s dress n hairstyle!
Just the other day I was thinking of building a house like this which reminded me of my childhood home.
It was made of rocks and had a thatched roof.
This is a truly beautiful, modern, minimalist design. Love it!!! ❤

I just bought a plot of land in Naivasha and I think I'll be contacting his company for a slightly modified version of this prototype.

Beautiful house. I love ❤️ it

MashaAllah beautiful architecture 👌🏼🔥❤️

Same exact situation in America. It's sad and unnecessary.
Where can I get a fundi to do that sliding door in the washroom??
Can you share the plans for this beautiful house? My husband and I are on the hunt for a decent size aframe cabin plans to build in tennesse
Good afternoon,do you guys delivery in the USA?
Beautiful 🏠. I too like a shaped houses as they have the traditional hut , cozy look. I loved it. Did u just mention 3 months to build?
This is my dream right here
Good job 👍
Doesn't snow there. Snow is why A-frames exist. Looks nice !

nice home but ld love to do this in Canada but l can't put the plumbing underneath the house without being some how heated in the winter

Dope home - Karen seems to have a lot of upscale homes
Karen is an upscale area. It has actually been ranked among the top 10 luxury home hotspots in the WORLD.
@@esem135 Lol. Stop.
@sbavc4929 Stop what? It is a FACT and the TRUTH. Prove me wrong!!!
To buy land in Karen, you need at least $400,000. Check Afrikan Traveller.
@@sbavc4929 They're not lying. Karen really is very upscale. Such leafy neighbourhoods in Nairobi are extremely expensive.
35 k ????? I can't even get the permit for that money here in Cali. Great job
So do it in Africa!
Awesome build, but the superstructure could do with a few tweeks, the foundations are far to many and wrong sections and placements
Great design the bathroom is so sad you need to sync against the wall with the mirror and use the light from the window to see what you’re doing
If I can get a listing of all the materials used for this omg I would be grateful, plan as well
Beautiful home, I would love to have one here in the US one day.
How much wouldn’t it cost in Canada NB for a home like this? I would need 2 bedrooms, and everything else is amazing.
That would very nice in Europe.
Nice design 👍👍
A wonderful build.
does the price tag include the furnishing
This A-roof design is like a Dutch style boerderij-farmstead or farmhouse roof built on the platteland- remote country districts in Holland.
I love it, just need some land so i could build one myself!
Excellent. How can we reach Thor to design and build one for us.
Great channel you have here! 🫶🏾 Thank you

A-frame homes go back 10 thousand years. Remember the great pyramids in Egypt!
Pyramids are different. A frames are a bit simpler.
True.. sooo he was wrong when he said it’s a new for the people from there. Gotchya. 🤓
very cute pup

how much would a 2 bedroom 1200SQft house cost with basic fittings
I want one! Retiring soon … how about the land?
