@@LouKodge - John is just working the jobs on his own like Chris does. Chris basically owe John (The Family Business) 2 days a week. It was 3. I have never seen a piece of equipment that you can not operate, you are very intelligent and your work ethnic is just phenomenal. Thanks for the journey that you have taken me on with your work schedule. Looking forward to many more memories
Looks like this pond is going to have the easiest core build we've seen Chris build. Only a couple of feet deep to get rid of the gravel and up it gets layered. Probably going to take longer to push the clay over from the other side after he dug it out with the grading bucket than to actually layer and roll it in. Then he brings in the 953 and really kicks it into high gear. We know Betty is gonna get involved on the other half so Chris can get every piece of equipment he has at home involved. That's a plus for us subs. Definitely one nice episode to watch on a Tuesday night.
You are amazing. You handle all those pieces of equipment like it's nothing and make it look easy. I know you have decades of experience but there is a difference between a competent operator and a master. You are masterclass the whole way. Thanks for sharing, Chris.

Start the planning with the end result in mind, work the process back to where you are now, make the plan, work the plan by the numbers, and the level of efficiency will take care of itself and you, next thing, Bobs your uncle, project is done. One of the reasons I watch the channel sir, great execution, thanks for the update on the pond dam and including the 6 kitty in the vid.
Now that is some good looking clay you got there Chris and your top soil is going to make the pond area grow some pretty nice grass i would expect a little more mowing in the future but I think you are looking for that as well and when the cabins are done it’s going to be down right beautiful place 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Hello Chris. The Day how You with the Dam building on Your Pond is to come. You work alone, with all Your Equipment, and make a great Daywork. It is to see that You all perfect planing and work step by step. The Video from great Interesting however. Thanks, glad my of the next Videos 👍👌
Hell Yeah, You got a lot done by yourself !! Those time lapse are pretty cool, gonna say it again, Love the smooth bucket !! Man, you can do so much with it, and the finish it leaves is awesome !! I know it's your "Go To" most of the time anymore. That's going to be a pretty sweet little pond there in the woods !! So glad you BIG OAKS, didn't get burnt up, Those ones up front there are pretty dang big with the off road truck under them for size....Looks like it's coming on along, like you said, just finding 2 more full days to hit it hard again !! lolol... Amazing how much dirt you were able to ,move and compact for your lifts.every day drastic change in the landscape.did you ever get your hay field cut?? .you realize your gonna have to build a huge pole barn for all the equipment,I mean huge.great video.keep on doing what your doing.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Yeah, rain is summoned by many things. Beach plans, washing of vehicles, harvesting, digging clay that needs to not become a sticky mess... The more urgent the need for clear days, all will be threatening rain. If the ground becomes a quagmire with only a little rain, a multi day down pour will be had.
It’s amazing how much rock can be mixed in with the clay and it will hold water fine. Dirtdaddy953 has a shit ton of rocky clay where he’s at, it’s been holding good for him for years. But more importantly is knowing the soil in your area and how to use it accordingly.
Chris have you ever done a pond that has continues water flow and could put a Hydro water system in for free power say for lighting or free power for a water fountain over some big rocks feeding back into the Pond as a feature ???? lol Great Vlog bud.
EXCELLENT Work there, Chris. ✅ That’s going to be a darn nice Dam 😂🤣 I like the part where you work Real Fast 👌 it shows you getting as good on the small track loader as you are on the Skidstear..!!! On thing I’ve been meaning to tell you though, when you’re loading a larger dump truck with it and dumping the bucket with a full load and messing up the top of the load… DON’T DUMP THE BUCKET… Just OPEN IT UP ⬆️ and the dirt will fall right down off the Blade portion of it..!! 😎👏👍🥳
My property it so easy an very little digging to build ponds with 2 deep vallies one running east an West an one in the front running north an south. The carry run off water for miles. It was just a mater of stripping the brush an stumps off the banks. An digging the black mud out of the bottom brush an stumps and cut in a 4 foot key way for the dam being the one valley 29 feet deep an the one in the front drops 60 feet. Getting rock hard clay out of the side banks making a shelf was way more clay then needed. Being the top soil is no more then 3 to 4" deep was just a mater of blocking up the 2 Valles. I did it all with a rented D8. As well striped 70% of my land to make Pastures For my livestock It's been a 27 year project with many different pieces of rented equipment One bite at a time Being in Northwestern Ontario Ponds have to be super deep otherwise they freeze to the bottom Any pond less than 6' deep freezes solid to the bottom but minor well owe're 40' And 1 is 30
