whoaaa!!!! what?! armani not making the list?! very disappointing... they had the best selling fragrance of all-time. very solid frag lines like adg, swy & code & yet didnt make the list.
Agree, should be in there. Even if Emporio is a sub-brand it still counts as being from the house, so SWY is included. A couple of the Code and ADG flankers are excellent too. Maybe he just overlooked/forgot Armani.

I was hoping that Guerlain would receive some love, I'd say they are above the bottom half of this list.
Dior at number 1 for me , price , longevity , new perfumes and their range runs to all ages.
I wouldn't have placed Hermes at No. 1 - maybe 4 or 5, and I agree with your assessment of Dior. My top 2 choices are CHANEL and GUERLAIN. Those two are followed by Cartier, Dior, Hermes, and Tom Ford - no particular order. Your list is very good!
Guerlain is not designer.
@@mihneaapostol8048 I'm aware of that but fragrance reviewers often group many of Guerlain's fragrances under the designer heading, namely the lowered priced offerings, which include Shalimar, Heritage, l'Homme Ideal, among others.

I would put azzaro instead of bvlgari. Their 'wanted' line is a heavy hitter.
And I would toss YSL into top 5.
Other brands worth mentioning: versace, hugo boss, lacoste, montblanc, valentino
Lush are good too. Very underrated in the community as people just think of fuzzy bath bombs. Lord of Misrule is real, creative perfumery.
The One Line is fantastic with The One Luminous Night being amazing.
Yup can vouch for this, having all the the one exclusive editions I could say they are some of the best in the brands but they are harder to find.

Unfortunately I just couldn't get on with Luminous Night at all. Something very fuzzy and synthetic came through prominently that just threw the whole thing off even though I could tell there was something good behind it.

Where’s Versace? I feel like they’ve had some classics and have something for everyone… everywhere from Eros to The Dreamer… classic Italian perfumery.
Versace Dylan blue Versace eau fraiche Versace poor Homme Versace Eros the hole line but more so Armani they really have a lot to offer fresh and sweet but Guerlain and Louis Vuitton is some of the best designer houses it smell like niche fragrance to me so high class and so much to choose from Hugo Boss is also a great House
I do think that when Sauvage came out it was pretty unique scent profile for its time, not unique but it definitely stands out and is recognizable.
I would almost agree with this list. I would put Chanel before Hermes though. They still produce a perfume that has been made since 1921. It's probably the most reliable fragrance brand of them all.
chanel haven't made anything for men in 5 years, they're behind YSL imo

I like Bulgari Man in Black.... but it is so light you can hardly smell it, at least to me. I have this problem with most Morillas frags ; they are good and i like the scent but very light. From D&G my prefered one is actually INTENSO which is kinda different from most of their line; i find it very original. JPG and Chanel are my prefered from this list anyway... especially Chanel, is the only one i trust with full bottles and i have most of their modern releases.
Guerlain and Armani deserve seats at this table. Both JPG and Paco R have been riding the coat tails of one flanker for years.
Wood Neroli and Glacial Essence are AWESOME!

Having in mind you forgot about Armani, I would personally swap Bvlgari for Margiela. Much more creative and interesting fragrances imo.
DG Pour Homme (2012) is a nice barber shop fragrance IMO.

L'homme intense is slowly returning. It is available in their website and people in internet say they have batches from 2023.
Btw Prada ocean edt is totally in style of Prada. Soapy, clean, classy, not a punch in the face of a blue fragrance. This is how blue Prada smells like. I agree that edp is garbagio tho

Channel didn't make any new fragrances. They are still stick to bleu de channel. Also, why Hermes would be placed at No1? Although you forgot to mention Giorgio Armani, in my eyes Givenchy and Viktor & rolf are fantastic brands too.

IMHO Armani and Guerlain should be instead of Bvlgari and Prada that are really good brands, but to me those missing have dropped masterpieces over the years.

"The best and most creative fragrance of all time... obviously it is discontinued" sums up perfectly how the hobby is going lol, most of the best stuff is no longer made. Although Aqva is one of the most realistic seawater frags out there in the mainstream. JPG should be bottom IMO, Hermes is art but their longevity is a hard sell.
