I love this song. Years later I met my American husband who wrote this about his ex wife. He was an fighter pilot in the USA Air Force at the time it was a hit by Dan hill. It still brings me tears. I’m 63 now. From lancashire .uk originally. RIP Bobby. Make them laugh still in heaven 🙏🙏🙏.

I adore cannon and ball ,went to see them when I was about 9 in blackpool with my parents and never forgot it and that's 22years ago now.. great times when blackpool was at it's best and great for families
have fond memories of these 2 talented men when they opened a club down the road from me many years ago.......................absolutely love Bobby Ball, only had to see him walk on stage and I would be in fits of laughter............should be able to bottle this comedy and send it around the world..........laughter inside of fighting?.........just a thought. I have the album [78 vinyl] they made and copy of 'THE BOYS IN BLUE' [brilliant remake of the old Will Hay film 'THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN' but for the life of me I cant get hold of their sitcom series where they shared an apartment...........that I would love to have...........
Where did Bobby's hair go? That's ironic! In the 2nd episode of the series before where the boys met "Bobby's girl", she said she'd put a lock of her hair in every letter she sent them and Tommy said in a deadpan voice; We're surprised you're not bald!
I've got first seven series on DVD ...Network DVD has no plans to release series 8 or 9. Anyone got good copies I'll pay you a few quid.......making a compilation. With view to making a documentary.
