Hard graft was needed then. Now it's instant stardom on fake reality shows. Tommy and Bobby are awesome professionals. Thank you Cannon and Ball for all the laughs. RIP Bobby. We love you both.
I feel for Tommy. Losing your best friend after all those years together. Its heartbraking. Cant imagine how he is feeling. Tommy, were thinking of you. RIP BOBBY.💜
The term legend is used quite loosely these days with young people... A pair of welders from Lancashire who made it big time during the 80's, fair play to them
Those were the days when we all laughed at slapstick comedy and the cleanest of fun.................Truly two great hard working showman who will be forever remembered...........God help the lot of us !!!!!
Fantastic Comedy partnership timeless forever remembered for years and years to come thanks for the memories can you upload more cannon and ball please? Many thanks 👏❤ ❤👏
Cannon and Ball must be amongst the greatest Comedian's that are and still loved around the world though Bobby has passed on I still watch their stuff on Utube fabulous
I worked in the Tower Hotel in the 80s, and everyone at the hotel did impressions of them the good days. Thanks to TH-cam I can have them good days again.
So touching that , working men and their families who supported and believed in them , so emotional watching that ... Thank you fellas for years of laughs and memories that will take me to see you on the big stage in heaven , bet your show is sold out all the time x
Saw these in Bournemouth years ago when I was young, was literally crying with laughter the way Tommy was manhandling Bobby around the audience onto the stage, funny stuff...Rest in Peace.
He was just a pure dynamo of Energy that would make you smile along with all the greats we have lost and yet you can have all the money in the world but laughter is the key to life ,he had that in abundance, they may not be your family just being on tv this duo made my childhood alot happier Rock on and god bless you tommy

November 1981. Ironically this was filmed during the period in the 80s when they later admitted they couldn't stand each other and didn't speak at all off-stage...happily they rekindled their close friendship years later.
In a time when stars from the past have turned out to be awful people, it’s so amazing to know that these men were not only hilarious and amazing at their craft, but also brilliant, charitable and compassionate. Rock on forever ✌🏻❤️
Tom, if you get this, our band , many years ago backed you both at a club in Manchester called Fagins. Again years later, we met you both again at Frank Carson's house.
That mill they talk about, I'm sure it's the same one my Grandad worked at, Lilac Mill in Shaw, 51 years he did there, and the one where they met my Dad got a job there, only lasted two weeks.
richard jones i was one of the kids on the right as you look as they came down the aisle to the stage, a group of us were taken there by our English teacher from Holloway boys school a Mr Hodes, first time iv got to see this REPLY

For anyone who has not seen Tommy's testimony do look it up on TH-cam. So lovely that they both came to know Christ and their relationship was restored. ❤🙏❤
Not quite. I've just checked the list - this was on 11 November 1981. Their 'problem period' started a couple of years later. Tommy is genuinely emotional here, struggling a bit. I reckon that's why he is a bit subdued.
rossmcl177. Yes you are right. They said in an interview on Lorraine Kelly that they had problems for a couple of years in the mid eighties but then Tommy became a born again Christian and their friendship was saved.

I believe this is from 1981 - Great to see an obviously loving family behind the public persona.

Thank you so much for uploading this show. Me and my family really enjoyed watching it again. R.I.P. Bobby ❤️❤️
Isn't it fantastic how much love Bobby had for his wife and family. It was the same at the very end of his life. What a man.
😊😊😊😊
The middle bit wasn't so good though.
So really glad I've seen these two and met Bobby and became great friends on Facebook messenger
Tom, if you get this, our band , many years ago backed you both at a club in Manchester called Fagins. Again years later, we met you both again at Frank Carson's house.
Look how humble they are... Thankful. You wouldn't get that now. God bless.

@Yorkshire Lass Bobby was a nice guy, don't talk rubbish😡
@@christopherdrennan5819 There was a time when he wasn't nice at all. When he found God, he admitted it himself.
@@gaysy1st was that when they fell out?
I've ALWAYS been a huge fan. Thank you both for all the laughter and happy times.
In 1990 they hosted a short lived game show for Yorkshire Television called Cannon & Ball's Casino which only lasted for 1 series.

Poor tommy. That got me. I love ❤️ these two.
I used to work just around the corner from Drury Lane Theatre, so interesting to see what it looked like back then. 😃
I find this deeply moving because sadly Bobby Ball died of covid not so long ago

Charlie Drake sober? never thought I'd see that lol
Their guests just go to show how down to earth these two guys actually were. Salt of the Earth.
Bloody hell, this is 40 years ago!!
Britain's best loved comedians x
A touching tribute to Cannon and Ball. Have you got any more episodes of This is your life please?
You keep asking I’ve seen it on everyone why don’t you get them yourself ?
That is a bit harsh. I am only asking that's all.
Thank you. I wasn't being horrible just asked that's all.

R.ip Bobby nice see this Bobby ball hold his wife Yvonne family
They weren't even looking when poor old Eamon popped out the cannon 😁😁👍👍
Lovely lads!
Diana looks breathtakingly beautiful in this
Nice to see Charles as a serious mature man. Nothing like his clumsy ,buffoon character!
Wow.... Diana doors was still alive.. I. Must have been young at this time..
Hard to believe that they hated each other here at this time
Bobby looks like he should be in a spaghetti western
Very strange shot at 26:23 where Bobby appears to give his son a back hander LOL.
I was one of the kids at end
@bruno gesche was from the school they supported

Bobby looks like Paul Newman here 23:00
You’re right! 😮😄
I've thought that many times, but nobody ever took me seriously 🤣
They weren’t very surprised! Did they know?
Judging by the body language and Tommy’s reaction to Bobby’s family. I think this was in the many years that they weren’t “speaking”.

People like them are one off. Never see anyone like them again.
True greats
classic.
These must have been set up????
Better than the crap. Ant dec oh no omg. Try but not as good that’s fact
They did slightly copy Eric n Ernie routines though as did. Othsr double acts Groucho Marx
R.i.p Bobby ......the last time I saw bobby and tommy was at ALAMBRA IN BRADFORD IN THE 80S
They had the same writers as Eric & Ernie
their wives are a bit ropey considering they were big stars
They loved their wives as they loved them.
I will sleep happy watching this.
R.i.p bobby
