I emulated this collection on Dolphin around last summer to play Ocarina of Time for the first time and it was amazing. I also found it pretty interesting that there's more content on the Wind Waker demo than that's initially presented. Interesting video.
I got my collector edition from game stop. They were running a promo for the game cube being sold for $100. Think this was 2003. Very good christmas. I still remember the commercial for the promotion too.
I worked at ebgames when this came out. I'll never forget the day a little kid came in asking for it by name all excited with his two proud parents behind him. "sold out" I said as he burst into tears. Nintendo really underestimated the demand in this system-game bundle and I hadn't seen a game cube in almost a month... sorry kid...
@@TheScrowlingFender7 he said when this came out, back then emulation wasn't nearly as popular and it probably wasn't so easy to find game roms also he would've been an actual child so maybe he didn't have anything to emulate this on and even if he did like i said before he'd have to obtain the rom way back in the day along with setting up the emulator itself if he could even find an emulator
I have this game and case from like 20 years ago, along with another one that's just OOT and MM. I can't remember how I got them but I think I bought each off eBay many many years ago for like $10. I wish I knew but I'm glad I have them.
I actually have this with the case and game manual, as well as my original Gamecube. I don't know how we got it, but that was my introduction to Zelda, alongside the Gamecube being my introduction to video games and my first console. I remember playing Ocarina of Time and thinking that I beat the game when I finally got the Master Sword, and being blown away that there was still more to play. Same with Majora's Mask, I thought once I got back to regular Link I beat the game, and once again being blown away that there was even more. This was around when my buddy had Wind Waker and I was so jealous because I could only play a little of it on my game. I only learned very recently that the Gamecube versions were second only to the Switch's ports for how bad they ran, which shocked me because I don't remember any issues, (although that might just be me thinking I caused any issues while playing, being new to games.) Man, such good games. I know this is late, but great video! Hope you post again soon!
Great video. I enjoyed it a lot. I own a sealed copy I don't want to open. But you gave answers to all the questions I had. Subbed because you are doing a good job. Groeten van een landgenoot.
I never knew this existed until going to the house, one of my cousins' friends who isn't a zelda fan but bought the bundle. I asked him if I could have it, and he said yes. I got it for free.
Back in the day my friend got this by mistake from buying Windwaker, the pre-order game clerk accidentally gave him this instead of the regular ocarina of time disk he should have got.
I didn't know about how much Wind Waker content was on the disc. I wonder if it's from the same build as retail, or if there may be some beta elements buried in there.
I got it used back in the early 2000s from a Gamestop. Now, I use Dolphin to play it. Revisited Majora's Mask that way when they began telling us to stay home.
Not sure how I got it. I assume it was my grandpas since I got the Gamecube from him when he passed. We had one as a kid, but his is the one I have now. And I have this in like, mint condition. Thing sells for pretty good chunk of change on Ebay.
Thanks for this. I was wondering what the best option for playing Ocarina and Majora on the Wii was and it looks like Virtual Console is the way to go.
Seems crazy they were giving away two full games from the previous generation as a promo leading up to Wind Waker. Would have been great for anyone who hadn't played them but I suspect that most people who owned a gamecube also owned an N64.
I still have this and have played it thanks to my father who told me all about how he worked hard to get the Nintendo power points to get this game cool to know more about the game my father worked hard to earn all the way back
Fun fact, in Mexico, this compilation was sold directly. You didn't have to buy a system, a game or subscribe to a magazine to get it, you just had to go to a store and pay for it.
Before thinking about paying stupid scalpers for this you should be aware that they really messed this game up, it has a bad glitch / freezing problem.

I love how much inspiration you take from Scott the Woz, the border, the funny hand shots with commentary, and the sarcasm.
Cool video! You talked about everything this disc has to offer

@@TheScrowlingFender7 Back when that compilation released I don't think Dolphin would have been as good to emulate on back then. It was still fresh.

Hell yeah, new video, let's fucking goooooo.
I didn't know you were gonna upload it TODAY, but hey, great video.

i got mine the same way! i guess they didn;t give a shit about the not for resale thing. i still have my copy sans manual (no clue where it went)
Where'd you find it? I'm having trouble finding this emulation file

Why do the cartridges make your fingers bleed? Thanks for the video!
Young Chozen from Karate kid 2 cursed that person's NES collection.

I received my copy of this gem through a Nintendo Power subscription!
yo I had this when i was younger. Don't remember what happened to it though. I think we got it with the bundle with mario kart

I was that rare exception, haha!
I said most people, not you specifically.@@adc3680
Now would I be able to play them on the Wii I have a game cube but would I be able to play them on there
Yes I believe you can. On top is a lid if you pull it up you can plug a gamecube controller.
If you have an old enough Wii with the Gamecube controller ports, then yes you can play it on the Wii

Should i buy this game or a ps1 with final fantasy VII? I can only buy one of them 😫

There will be a new video in 5 days actually
@@hikerdaniel5064 that's very awesome! I already subbed :)
Those glitches maybe your disc being bad or pal version cause I’m in Jersey n have disc noting that you said happens
4:42 “Unlike virtual console” that is so cap, what? Doesn’t Nintendo’s emulation still get crapped on?
I paid 69 for this game. I can’t wait for it to come in
I think I got this when a bought another game. Like in a bundle..
Are you gold member?

Please let me have that game lol i wish 👍
I heard that ocarina of time and majora‘s mask have rumble in this version is that true?
yes
Yeah but don’t use the rumble on majoras mask for this version. It lowers the chance of crashing.
Yes, it does.
You can turn it off if it causes freezing right?
