Great video, Aiden! Even though not spectacular, the lounge looked decent enough for a break from the crowds in the concourse and to get a quick snack. Glad your flight went smoothly. The sausage roll is a great snack for a short flight. Simple and tasty. Much better than the biscoff cookie we get in the US even on 6 hour domestic flights!

I flew the qf 737-800 from Perth to Sydney and had mixed reviews. The plane was quite old and had no personal tv screens.
at least they have revamped the interior years ago with usb ports beneat the seats to charge your own devices.
I was able to connect to the wifi on the 737-800 and was happy to browse through the internet, watch TH-cam videos, and check out latest news updates.
The economy seats aren’t too bad, despite being crammed up. Bear in mind the 737-800 are set to be retired and replaced with brand new a321neo

I know what you mean about food being basic but being done well. For a one hour flight, that looks tasty. The nighttime footage flying into Adelaide looked great. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next one. Cheers.

I hadn't flown with QANTAS since 2018. Co-incidentally, I flew economy with them from Brisbane to Melbourne two weeks ago. A twenty-year-old 737 was the means of travel. I don't know if it was my imagination, but the leg room seemed even less than it was before. A microwaved scrambled egg on a bun was served up for the two-hour trip.
Owing to some uncertainty of my stay in Victoria, I reserved a one-way ticket to Melbourne at a cost of $179. A week or so later the prices for a economy flight back to Brisbane ranged from $450 to $1,200. There was even one at over $2,000. Insane!
I flew back with Virgin Australia with an upgrade to business class for $280.

Flew QF from Melbourne to Auckland on a 737, only good thing was the meal. Leg room was terrible I'm 6"1 the flight was chock full no spare seats super noisy old aircraft. Air NZ takes the cake for trans tasman in narrow isle category

The QFC is Melbourne is pretty crap. I agree. I reclined my seat while filming on Vietnam Airlines and almost injured an old woman behind me... Hahahaha! It's really the sign of times when we celebrate QF being basic, no? 😏
I actually have not flown QF in the economy cabin in a while.

Definitely commend your reviews. Australia (and NZ) is close to a monopolistic aviation market where one player (Qantas and Air NZ respectively domestically) have total market power. This doesn't benefit consumers at all, results in lower service levels, higher prices and high barriers to entry. Sometime you should come to Asia and see how short haul flights operate and how much better it is than in ANZ 😜 Australia and NZ need a lot more competition to make travel more affordable for every day people!

Virgin Australia actually has the highest market share for any single brand airline in Australia. The Qantas group, which is Qantas and Jetstar, together have around 62% of the domestic market share. So the situation is actually that of an oligopoly rather than a monopoly.

    • @Traveltheme706

Australia needs more competition are you serious? 28 mill people served by Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin & Rex, Bonza tried a different approach and failed miserably the population wont sustain more competition.

If you TRULY were flying economy like the rest of us you wouldn't go to the QANTAS club. Gotta say for the money they charge to be a member it's not worth it. Always found QF crew to be brilliant, the problem with QANTAS is check in and ground crew.

It's a disgrace that Qantas (and Virgin) are using B737-800 for flights from Syd -Perth. Almost 5 hrs crammed in a seat (middle of 3) with some footballers. This flight across Australia requires larger, more comfortable aircraft. After all the flight is longer than many international flights. You are a very capable video presenter but unfortunately I could not make out much of your inflight commentary because of the loud engine noise.

I wouldn’t complain as much in regards to Qantas as they at least uses a330s and 787s on the route

    • @neilcondron8315
      @neilcondron8315 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Revilok08 That's not what I saw when looking to book my flight. When fit, athletic footballers are forced to stand in the aisle for most of the flight because the seats aren't wide enough for 3 healthy adults on a 4- 5 hr flight, QANTAS are not considering passenger comfort. Imagine the outcome if the same thing that happened to the Singapore Airlines incident had eventuated...

@@neilcondron8315 yeah, id didnt want mw saying "i wouldnt complain' to be like a shot at you, i never meant it that way, all i am saying is atleast they offer those planes where as every VA plane = suffereing haha. regardless, even just using the 737s is horriable, the fact that they are so old and cramped is not good enough by Qantas
