      Mineral sunscreens don’t work on white skin either, never saw a person use the correct amount and it have no white cast.

    Just tried the tinted one. I have your skin tone. Hands down the best mineral sunscreen I have ever worn! So elegant for such a great price! 🎉

    I’m trying the Solar Mate. So far I like it. I have very oily dehydrated skin. I’d say I’m a medium (neutral) tone and this goes on beautifully. I did have to work it a little bit but not like other mineral sunscreens. I want to try the tinted one but it was not available at Ulta. I would definitely recommend the Solar Mate but I agree I don’t think it’s dark skin tone friendly.

    Thank you so much for continuing to review mineral options. I have a similar skin tone and I think chemical sunscreens irritate my skin and break me out, so I have to stick to mineral and its so hard to find good options.

    Awesome review! I ended up getting the Solar Mate (untinted) even though I'm darker. I have acne-prone skin and the Solar Mate is non-comedogenic but Plus One (tinted) isn't.

    Thank you🎉 because my daughter is 15 she's eczema and acne-prone skin sensitive skin and right now I'm on my journey trying to find a concealer to cover her acne but also help her acne without activating her eczema❤

    If anyone see this, I have medium dark skin, (Vanessa Myrick yummy balm 8.5) I just tried the solar mate and it's does live a very slight white cast, its the lightest I've ever had. I'm gonna return it and try the tinted one tho edit: tried the tinted one. i think if your any darker than me youll definitely see it. But it does work. Even on me it appears to have a cast when initially blended out but it dies down after a minute or so

    Thank you for all your reviews. 🙂👌🏽
    If the tone do not fit, can I add Iron powder myself, made for cosmetic, to the sunscreen, so the color fits better?
    ( I always need a little Yellow)
    Mineral sunscreen

    That tinted one looks amazing. Down to try that one. Also, when you started tret, did you get stinging from sunscreens containing alcohol? I do. Should I avoid them if that's the case? I heard inflammation is terrible for the skin.

    does it irritate your eyes? every favorite sunscreen i’ve found ended up irritating my eyes :/

    • @zach8346
      @zach8346 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Chemical filters are the usual culprits for eye irritation. In my experience most mineral sunscreens play great around my very sensitive eyes

    I'm not a fan of solar mate. It's leaves a heavy dewy look on my combination skin. I think people who have dry to normal skin type will like it.

    did the solar one smell weird to you? I bought that one & had to return it asap because it smelled terrible! I saw other reviews about the smell as well.

    Is it true that chemical sunscreen has better protection than the mineral sunscreen??

    • @debrucey
      @debrucey 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Broadly speaking, yes. Especially European or Australian ones.

    • @apresnousledelugeloral4335
      @apresnousledelugeloral4335 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Zinc is far superior as physicals BLOCK vs chemicals absorbing. For superior protection always wear sunglasses and some for of wide brim hat or visor, especially if you're not reapplying evee 2 hrs I never do that I throw a uv coolibar mask

    • @debrucey
      @debrucey 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@apresnousledelugeloral4335 That isn’t true, block vs absorb is a myth, how you follow Ramon and don’t know that?

    •  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      It’s well known that mineral filters primarily function by absorbing energy and converting it, similarly to chemical filters. They reflect small amount of UV energy but that is dependent on particle size as well. Mineral filters, while covering a broad range of the UV spectrum, don’t achieve the same level or magnitude of protection as chemical filters. “Blocking” and being a “physical” shield is becoming an antiquated mindset around mineral filters

    Why are the comments turned off for the VT Reedle Shot video ??

    •  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It's happened a few times now and i'm not sure if the video is getting reported or flagged. They should be working again

      @ oh great! I’ve been hearing that chemical sunscreens aren’t recommended and the bubble once since it has ginseng.

    •  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ashliv4126 now what is up with ginseng?! 😭 everyday another ingredient is demonized

    • @ashliv4126
      @ashliv4126 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ apparently because the oral form of Ginseng tea isn’t safe during pregnancy so people automatically assume topical ginseng in skincare isn’t safe either that’s why I was asking since the bubble one has it 😭
