Dear Yvonne. You have saved my life with your channel. I can’t go out like I used to before covid, so I magically go out with you on your adventures. Some days, I am hanging out in your workshop. Keep doing what you do. I am grateful for you and Chris. Thank you. You are always entertaining.
God is so wonderful, He cares even in the small things in our lives! You have the best eye for beautiful things! I love all the wonderful things you have found! Everything looks so gorgeous, love them all! ❤️😊
I don’t think God cares about whether or not you find something at Goodwill that you can resell. Especially if he’s allowing children to suffer from childhood cancer. Just saying.
Love, love, love the patinas! I can’t believe how beautiful they turn out!! Got to get some and try it myself! God is good and blesses us even in little ways. Thank you for sharing your “God Wink” moment. Love all your makeovers!
So many fun things that you found. They wooden horse is called a Dala horse and it is from Sweden. I have several. Some are very old. They're very expensive. I've never seen one white with that kind of painting on it. Maybe that's something newer in style of what they do? Not sure. If it doesn't sell solid black then I would try painting it a creamy white. That might sell better. Look up Dala horse and you will see how beautiful they are painted.
Did you know that if you use hand sanitizer on stickers it will make the stickers come off easy. I had to do it at work one time to remove kid stickers of a cart. Just put the hand sanitizer on top of the sticker wait a few minutes and it comes off easy.
I'm always so jealous of your incredible finds, but I am always so impressed with how you truly transform these items into beautiful things to stock in your store. Thanks always for your inspiration. God bless
The blown glass ball is called is a Witches Ball. You hang it indoors in front of a window to keep evil spirits out. I had very old country grandparents on both sides from Ireland and Sicily haha. It's like hanging a satchel of herbs by your doors to absorb negativity of anyone entering your home. :)
@@GingerChickRehab They look so nice in a sunny window & I've always had one. So whether they knew it or not, they have beautiful decor AND protection lol
Jacqueline thank you for sharing that info, and thank you to Ginger Chick for showing this item. I bought one over a year ago and just thought it was a glassblown orb. Mine looks like a rainbow tree. I love it and now know some history on it. 🙂
That paper brings back memories. They've used sheets from BC transit bus routes. The Vancouver buses have a scroll with all of the routes and they roll through them to change it to the current route for that bus.
Lovely finds! The desk set with the inkwells is an antique writing set: 2 inkwells, slot for paper, and a ink damper. Ink damper is rolled left to right to absorb any extra ink so it doesn’t smear. A true treat if you are left handed! ☺️
I love the vases that you painted a mat black. They are gorgeous ! The little horse turned out so nice. I love it too ! The bird is now gorgeous. I'm happy that you just added the patina till you were satisfied with it. Thee bird is my faviorite !
Omgoodness I so wished you could have an online shop or we lived closer I would be broke 🥴 you guys truly are one of the best flippers I’ve seen and again I’ll say… so grateful you teach us along the way thank you so much! God bless
Girl!!!! Look at those globes on pinterest!!! They want HUNDREDS for some of them!!! THOUSANDS for some!!! I've been binge watching old videos of yours! You have gotten alot more comfortable in front of the camera, but always have been SO talented!!! Ginger power!!!
I bet if you add Howard Feed-N-Wax wood polish to that rolling pin handle and base you could ask a bit more it makes the wood look and feel rich at least for what I found 😉.
I sure do love the way that crackle turned out on the shelf unit. Just beautiful! Also, thanks for sharing the Godwink story. I too am a person of faith and I love the little reminders that He is watching over us. Blessings from Wisconsin.
The Mahogany desk set was beautiful. I could not imagine an improvement. I have learned to keep my opinion to myself until you finish a piece. WOW!! No words. You take a piece to a new level with the wax. It looks 100% better.
You're a genius with that patina paints ,I'm shure when I would use them it will look al splochy an weird! You really have an eye for for them .What a great idea with the glue for the craccle effect !
Hi Yvonne n Chris! I need some of you guys! Thanks for posting lots of videos! I feel like you are like my lil family! Love you both talented individuals!Love your friend Kim
The "epoxy" in the bottom of the pottery bowl may be crushed glass and the kiln melted it when the bowl was being fired. I did pottery at one time and we would crush marbles and put it in the bottom of the piece of pottery before firing.
Loved watching you redo the items! I'm interested in the latinas you used and I think you definitely gave that bird a better look!! 🙂 I'll check your links.
Wow!! Your black paint really turned some of your items into really high end products. Very nice. Personally I did not care for the last crackled shelf. But very nice job on everything!
I love your videos so much,I’ve tried many of your DIY and I must say they have turned out well thanks to your guidance.Thank you so much for all you do!!
I know this is an old video and I’m just seeing it now! I had to comment on the black light! We live in Arizona in a desert area and everyone has a black light so we can find the scorpions that find their way into our yards!!! It just made me laugh cause my hubby and I love to go antiquing and have never taken our black light with us! We love your channel and the relationship you and your hubby have!!! We have been together since 1989 and it is nice to see another couple work as a team! ❤
I absolutely loved all the flips, and have envy over that old toolbox you found. I'm so excited to see all your work with the patinas...I'd love to try but not sure I'd be that good at it...you've got it down to a science. I think it's the vision you have for all your projects that make them so beautiful. OH and yeah that little box with the drawer was absolutely spot on...keep them coming...Love from Susan in FL :)
I live in Calif and we would rarely find that HUGE picnic basket for $6. (It would be $25 used, at least, and considered a bargain) Love it! Wow, what a find.....besides everything else you bought!
If I lived close to you I would be in bankruptcy. I want the bird tiered plate. I want the big bird. I want the black orb. I want the vases. I want the horse. I want the magnet frame. Oh my I could just go on. Love your work.
Yvonne love all your projects. I went thrifting today and because of your tip I purchased a signed crock for a dollar it had a painted design on it. But I felt it and realized it was on top of the glaze thank you for that tip.
Yvonn you are finding some great items. Happy for you. I can’t really thrift right now so I really look forward to seeing the finds my favorite TH-camrs host are finding and flipping.
I liked the flowers in their original colors .They looked more aged than the black treatment. It’s striking both ways but they looked like cabbage roses initially.
hi…Yvonne I love the stories❣️ Love this format!! You definitely had a great haul….keep doing you….it’s great! Your pieces look awesome….if I was standing there with you while you were doing the last shelf i would have said how about distressing/bringing back the lines in the wainscoting like you did on the box with the drawer….I wouldn’t have thought to do that and it looked so good! Believe me when I say I am not being critical because you do absolutely beautiful work and I admire your creativity❤️ Just a thought….thank you so much for sharing😊kim
Gos is so good. I’m a believer and I love it. So glad you accidentally ordered the black light. I’ll be ordering one too now since I’m a reseller part time.
I have never tried the patina. I am a little nervous about it. I love how the bird turned out, so beautiful! I had a project crackle accidentally. I put mod lodge on it to get the paint to grip and the when I added the chalk paint it crackled all over! It was a cool accident. Thanks for all the inspiration! Love from NB Canada!
I loved the rusty metal piece just as it was, but Wow! Looks so much better painted and the accent color is the icing on the cake! The little box with the drawer is so cute...ever think of adding little feet to it? Looking forward to more inspiration. 😊
Yvonne~I loved this Haul from your local thrift stores...you and Chris really found some great deals. I love what you did with the copper patina to that one decor piece! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
I just love how you blend the patina's 😍, and the rub and buffs. Is there any chance you could do a full episode purely on all your blends on different materials? Love from down under 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Oh my goodness! During the whole video, I kept saying, " You've got to be kidding me." Such GREAT finds! I went today and only found a few vintage christmas. I absolutely love everything you purchased! 🎅 🤶 christmas 🎄

I couldn't agree more on what you said!

Always love God stories. I believe He does bless us in these ways. You had another amazing haul!

Black is so rich !! So agree that it usually adds elegance & depth to lots of things. The patinas add something extra to that black too. Great ideas!!
I have a book and it’s about “ when God Winks”. I believe he sent you a wink Movement. That’s a big tool box. That lamp is amazing.
I'm always so jealous of your incredible finds, but I am always so impressed with how you truly transform these items into beautiful things to stock in your store. Thanks always for your inspiration. God bless
The horse is a Dala Horse from Sweden. The hand made Dala's are kinda pricey! Love your videos! 😍
Yes I agree it is a Dala and that size is pricey for sure! Good find.
I loved it all! I’m 79, I wish I could get around so I could do that! Enjoy 😉 your LIFE!!
Thank you for saving the little horse from going through life looking like that!!! Wish you had it in your eBay shop!🥰🐴
Love your flips! Couldn't help but notice the orb when you showed the picnic basket 11:08 , even spirits love your finds !
Happy Lord’s day from Missouri! Love everything you do!

Oh.. love that history. It sold today.. I wonder if the person who bought it knew that

That little chicken, or bird, is gorgeous 😍

Hard to find. Please don't paint.
I love the vases that you painted a mat black. They are gorgeous !

You seem to be extraordinarily motivated to do these flips. I’m
Not, so I love watching your motivation and finished products.
Loved that horse!
You have become the patina queen. I’m getting inspired to try it the more I watch you. That horse and bird look so good.
Omgoodness I so wished you could have an online shop or we lived closer I would be broke 🥴 you guys truly are one of the best flippers I’ve seen and again I’ll say… so grateful you teach us along the way thank you so much! God bless

Oh.. wow.. for a globe. Thank you for sharing that. And you kind compliment
lovely as usual....I think you should pick up a 'horse-book' at the "Good Store" and open it on a stand in front of that eye-glassed pony, lol.
I just love the little bunny crock!
I am mesmerized watching you as you bring these items to life. Thank you! You and your husband are amazing!
The ink desk set turned out beautiful with the ink blotter.
I bet if you add Howard Feed-N-Wax wood polish to that rolling pin handle and base you could ask a bit more it makes the wood look and feel rich at least for what I found 😉.
The birdcage would make a great lampshade for the neat lamp with the dials on it.
Wow, you found great things!!! Love how your channel has grown, you have wonderful taste & can’t wait to see how you upcycle your items!!
Thank you
Love all your make overs today. This video encourages me to experiment with distressing and adding patina to thrifted items.
I sure do love the way that crackle turned out on the shelf unit. Just beautiful!
Also, thanks for sharing the Godwink story. I too am a person of faith and I love the little reminders that He is watching over us. Blessings from Wisconsin.

Those handles on the metal pitcher/vases really came alive in black! Love!❤
Thanks for always naming the products that help you produce those gorgeous results!
As always everything is my favorite! Love your channel .
The "epoxy" in the bottom of the pottery bowl may be crushed glass and the kiln melted it when the bowl was being fired. I did pottery at one time and we would crush marbles and put it in the bottom of the piece of pottery before firing.
It really cool

Zakopenego or zakopane was/is a popular tourist area in Poland. Wood carving items, such as your desk set, were commonly souvenirs. Great find!
Thank you for sharing that
There was a bird cage about the same size as yours at one of the GWs near us for 24.99 last week.
You got some great buys.
Love what you do. The bird looked great with the patina and the crackle paint shelf was fab, must give it a try.
I really love the bird the best so cute. White shelf came out great
I would buy the magnetic flowers and board. Love it. You are so amazing at the repurposing. Thank you for sharing. Love this channel.
that white horse is a Swedish Dala horse. The shape and the tail are different than a usual horse. I just looked up solds on ebay and it sold for $60

You could always use rub and buff on your 2 tiered tray to make the birdies and leaves pop! Really cute. Love the bird cage!!
