stay tuned for part 2 of this series which will for sure include the sleep on it wishlist template 🌱 what kind of notion template or video topic would really help you out as an earth person? p.s. template proceeds will go towards FINALLY buying a decent secondhand microphone lol
The slow closet is delightful! I’ve struggled a lot of my adult life with clothing for several reasons-I live rurally (reduced access to clothing, both fast- and slow-fashion), I have a physically-active job AND small kids (can’t be too fancy to get dirty, mobility/weather requirements), AND, to add insult to injury, I have been unable to maintain a stable body weight for longer than 3-5 years as an adult. I’ve gone up, I’ve gone down, over and over, WITHOUT dieting. Probably should chat with a dietician…
i hear you on that, my weight fluctuates a lot! all the minimalist TH-camrs had me convinced i needed to rehome all the clothes that no longer fit me but i SO regret that now 😩 these days i'm holding on to everything i love, whether it fits or not, because there's a pretty decent chance it will fit again in the future!
I've started an Excel spreadsheet (nerd alert) for every piece of clothing I buy this year, just for curiosity, thanks to one of your videos. I don't buy clothing often so I think it'll be a short list but I'm excited to track it!
Found you by chance with some of my goals each year to make one sustainable move every month (eg changing out a genuine plastic issue I have to something else I’ll use for a good half a life time, or saving money to fix some old clothes rather than buying new ones that month/etc) and I am SO delighted to have found your channel. These templates are super awesome and they’re my May eco goal to set up and make a plan from everything! Thank you so much for always sharing this and actually helpful eco facts and aid. You’re a gem and a breath of fresh air on this website and other websites that have a horrific misinformation problem.
@@allisonfromearth same here. You’ve some wonderful actually helpful tips that just is lacking in so many places 💕 thanks for reminding me it’s about sustainability not what random people bark about on instagram and discord
I admire your organization and how your systems are so visual! So many organization tools don't have a visual component, so I really like that about your Notion templates. As a mom, I can't imagine making the time to track my life in such detail on a regular basis, but my younger self would have been all about this!
I love this!!! I’m a new subscriber so you may have said this before but I thought you were vegan? The “silk top” and “leather” in shoes and belt prompted me to clarify :).
@@allisonfromearth I see. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I challenge you to consider not showing animals’ skins items on your videos in the future. I am here because I like the content you are making. I’m learning and feel validated with many things you do because not many people around me understands. And while I certainly don’t need to agree with everything you do, I just leave it as a gentle challenge to consider :). I can explain my reasoning but I don’t want to leave you a longer novel haha thanks again for the reply ❤️
@@princessaome with all due respect, these were items other people didn't want that i rescued. it would be a tragedy to see a pair of leather boots in the landfill, like what a terrible, unethical waste. your comfort level may be different than mine and i 1000% respect that but I'm proud of my secondhand wardrobe and all the well-loved pieces kept from my old life pre-veganism! i've given this a lot of thought and i thank you for challenging me
@@allisonfromearth I completely understand your reasoning, you are caring for the environment and don’t want those items to go to waste. My idea of challenging you isn’t so you stop doing what you feel is right for you, I was thinking about people who will see that and subconsciously or consciously get the idea they now need a leather belt, shoes etc. and go buy them new. I understand this goes against what your channel is about, so why would you get viewers that think this way? but the cool thing about TH-cam is that your videos can get recommended to anyone and because not everyone is at the same level of awareness regarding how clothes are made (the impact they have on the animals and the planet), they could be, like I said, subconsciously influenced to buy animals’ skins. And of course you’re not responsible for what people do, but if you could avoid those situations by not showing them (I never said not do it) then why not consider it. It is just an editing suggestion that could make a difference. If you don’t consider it, it’s fine, if you do, that’s great. I love animals so much that I don’t want people to be reassured that using them for clothing (when we have so many options) is okay. So that’s my reasoning just leaving it here so you can understand where I was coming from. I’m sure if we could talk it would be better because you can’t hear my tone, but I am saying this with a calm, neutral tone.

Amazing video. I'm so excited for part 2 - you've inspired me to use Notion to make my own planner
yayyy I love that!!
Thank you for sharing this information with the universe.

I literally just discovered Notion and was wondering how to use it properly lol... So perfect timing! Thanks a bunch!
this made me really excited hehe! i'm living vicariously through you 🤓
Such an interesting and informative content 🌼💚
ahh thanks so much! 🤗
I use Obsidian instead of Notion, but still watching to see ideas I can steal to use in Obsidian 😅
that's one i haven't tried yet! what do you primarily use obsidian for?

I buy secondhand silk, wool, and leather! so long as it's already in the waste stream, everything's fair game to me 🧡
