@@LucyLeheilleix LOL Lucy, this was a Bryan-style video, except you didn't stop to try the food on offer.. Could the 'tunnels' be part of a road with water flowing underneath ( a bridge)?
Interestingly all of the food places were closed (bar the street food cart) and even that had virtually no food, so I gave it a miss. I guess I was there too early!? I do wonder what those tunnels were? Thanks for the comment.
One of the best, if not, the best Mru Vlog on YT. Thanks for your work. Have not been home for almost a decade and it was so good to find a vlogger about the island
Hi Lucy, Thanks again for the amazing content and taking me on a dream trip to our favorite island. We are planning to relocate to Mauritius soon and would like to know how the locals feel about the politics, economy and the general feeling amongst you guys about the near future of the country, please.
Awesome video so lovely to explore these little villages that I never go to whenever I'm back in Mauritius. I want to say more beach! But I know they are closed! That's so sad. Hopefully they reopen soon! Literally the only thing I think about when I think of Mauritius!!! Thanks for the great vid.
Hi Priya. I love the villages, particularly in the south coast. Truly beautiful. Yeah, beaches have been closed here for over 3 months. It’s kinda interesting when one lives on a small island 😬 Thanks for watching.
Thanks for showing us a beautiful village on the west coast. Quite a charming village. The tunnels and funnel stone structure is most probably a lime kiln. These used to dot the coast till the 80s. When visiting these sleepy coastal villages ( here it has an expats enclave), bear in mind that between 9 am to 3 pm most businesses who cater to the locals are closed. The village springs to life after 3 pm when students and office workers come back from the big towns.
Hi Lucy Very nice video, i love this area of Mauritius from riambel to tamarin, best part of the island, my personal belief. Can’t wait to get back there again. ( fully vaccinated, and ready to go😂)Thank you for sharing and stay safe.
Hi Partice! I also think this is the best part of the island. It's so diverse with it's mountains, forests, villages and of course amazing beaches. Glad you're fully vaccinated (I am too) so I now can't wait for the borders to re-open.
We've been watching your videos since before we came to Mauritius in late December, sadly before we could start exploring after settling in lockdown strike. Keep up the good job 👏👍
A great spot, thank you so much for sharing. I have been there before in 1998 although I did not see all the old brick structures sadly. They often interest me the most, like you mentioned..., what were they used for, when were they build etc. It would be great to restore them from a historical point of view, also the amazing wooden house appearing from the overgrown foliage. so beautiful. you really are taking everything in.
Hi Mary. I'm absolutely in love with this drone. Sadly the wind has been really strong the last few weeks, so I haven't been flying it as much as I'd like. There are indeed volcanoes here. Trou Kanaka and in Curepipe. Both really worth checking out. Keep well and thanks for your support. :)
Hi Ross. Only problem is that beaches are still closed, so it’s impossible to get there. Perhaps in July it will be easier to get there. Thanks for the tip though.
@@LucyLeheilleix Look forward to it. Also have you ever heard of people looking to buy a second residence in Mauritius as a "plan b" ie a back up just in case something happens in there home location / region? Just curious. Of course it is bonus that it is a beautiful place.
Love watching your videos. Brings me back home. Sad to see the police station in that state but that's what happens unfortunately when the government owns but does not maintain these old colonial houses. 😔 Was surprised you didn't show the old post office in Black River. But also surprised I have never seen those ruins near Ruiseau Creol. Love the ariel shots! 😁
Hi Tom. You know what, I got home after shooting and then realized I’d forgotten the post office 🤦🏼♀️ I think I got sidetracked by those old tunnels 🥴 Thanks for watching and for your support. I love my new drone 👌
Hi Lucy. Thanks for the beautiful video of my gorgeous island. Can I ask you? Are you French or French descent? Your surname just remind me something about it. Just curious.
Do the homes in MAU normally have window screens? I have indoor cats that would be gone if I opened a window with n screen to keep them in. Can I have them installed?
Least populated, largest area but fastest growing population The villa with private marina is so private and upscale, these are not even advertised on real estate market
Hey peeps. I had a computer nightmare so I had to re-upload this video. Anyway. Enjoy!
yes that is great but love to watch again and again
Top-notch video, a great one. Love the DJI mini footage, but you know I'm coming to see the 'tunnels', wow, awesome.
They tunnels are intriguing. I'd love to know more about them. Thanks for watching Bryan.

Black River is such a beautiful place ❤
One of my favourite villages in Mauritius. Thanks for watching.
Thank you again Lucy!! Love it love it !.
Hi Jeffrey. Thanks so much for tuning in!
Another great video Lucy. Love how your videos enable us to see Mauritius from a truly local perspective.
Thanks Anton! I named my drone minion! Can you send me your address please?
Brilliant and so informative of feel and touch on the place. :) Cannot wait to come visit!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
your shooting destination are absolutely worth of wathching
Thanks Pramendra. I really appreciate all of your support.
If you ever update this video please add the amazing Post Office under the huge Banyan tree - just behind Nautica Centre. 😉
That’s my favorite post office. For some weird reason, I forgot about it that day. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Great video of a great area of Mauritius 🇲🇺 loved it
Thanks Alan. 🙏

@@LucyLeheilleix yes we live in hope

Only a pleasure Rose-Marie.
Black River legit one of the dopest places on the island.
I agree Alex. It’s amazing here.
You know more about Mauritius than I do ! Haha :p
Awesome video !
Thanks so much Shannon.
hey lucy leheilleix, what is your drone called?
Hey Keagan. It’s a mini 2 😀
Your views are beautiful 😍 with your new favorite toy the drone. Are there volcanoes on Mauritius 🇲🇺?

Are there any termites in Mauritius that will eat into the houses that are made of wood?
Hi Moa. There are indeed. Wasps are also a thing here… One needs a pest control company to come out every now and then.
Hi could you please do a follow up report on the oil spill / ship wreck?
Hi Ross. Only problem is that beaches are still closed, so it’s impossible to get there. Perhaps in July it will be easier to get there. Thanks for the tip though.

Hi, Is there a lot of mosquitoes in Mauritius? Is there dengue fever there? Thanks for making such a wonderful video
There are mosquitoes, but not dengue. Just use repellent and you’ll be fine.
@@LucyLeheilleix Thanks for your feedback and I appreciate it.
Sad about the police station, great video.
A real shame hey Riki?! I'm so glad I was there before lockdown and managed to take some photos. Thanks for your support.

Hi there. My husband is French, hence the surname! Thanks so much for watching!
Do the homes in MAU normally have window screens? I have indoor cats that would be gone if I opened a window with n screen to keep them in. Can I have them installed?
You can certainly have window screens installed if you wish Jeani. Not sure I’ve seen much of that here. Good luck!
👍👍
No mention of Tennis star Mary Pierce. Does she still live there ? Maybe it doesn't matter.
I have never seen her Manuel.
Are there any mosques around?
There are many all over the island 😀

Black River is fabulous. I just hope it doesn’t get too over developed. Thanks for the comment.
Need good friend from maruitius and reunion island, hope can do some business together.
Thanks Loic.
