As Aussie I feel ashamed that for the longest Time I thought hunting with a boomerang was a dead practice. I am so happy I was wrong
Idk why but I imagined every Australian was used to all forms of wildlife but to see him act the way the average city person does when they see a deer when he saw those echidna was very pure and refreshing and a reminder to never assume.
Great shots brotha! Nice to see you back out in action )))
Thanks Adam!
Your camera man is a real mate!
Those last two shots were insane, even if you didnt hit them.
Thanks man! and yep, he's good.
Excellent! Love those prickly things too!
That last shot was pretty damn close!
Those are tough enough to slay a kangaroo
I somehow missed this video it was a pleasure to watch. I’m a lefty and hopefully this spring will be making one to throw according to your directions.👍👍👍 it was great to see all those echidnas!
One day man!
Yep :)
@@wozzasboomerangim amaised with your rabbit problems that slingshots are illegal in every state!
In nz thyr legal and nobody uses them. Our calesi virus worked too well
Great video!!
Thanks Dave🤠
Great video 👍
Im going to have to make a few of these for the next time I get to go for a walk with my buddy's dog .
Nice echidna find!!
Yeah, I couldn't believe it. Perhaps it was three males following a female, not sure but sure was cool.
I’ve only ever saw 2 Echidnas in one spot. 4 is crazy awesome! I’ve heard they can make like trains of them. Beautiful
Thanks. It was amazing for sure. I never heard it could happen before I saw it.
Great shots in difficult terrain, well done.
Definitely going to make a couple of these, it looks like a lot of fun .👍
Thanks, and have fun with your project.
Great vid mate, those echidnas are a hell of a thing to see.
Thanks 👍
I'M IN EUROPE SPECIFICALLY, THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THERE ACACIAS DO NOT GROW PRACTICALLY AT ALL. IN BRIEF, IT IS WINTER IN EUROPE. AND IT'S WARM AND GOOD IN AUSTRALIA. I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE THERE.
They was originally used for hunting birds in flocks, not rabbits!😆
And?
I suspect this was done with more than one person at a time. Like one or two people shake up a likely spot, while the one throwing stood back a little. Primitive sustenance hunting was often in groups, because they didn’t have any rules. Also multiple people throwing would hugely increase success. Pretty cool though. Love to see people relearning primitive skills. I just looked into this and some native tribes in other countries used these too. I always thought it was only Australia
They should call this , watch me miss !!!
Has this guy every hit one.....ever? I've watched like 10 videos and never seen him hit one yet.
This guy is trying to capture it for you, not as easy as it looks.
@@wozzasboomerang you've got it mate! I believe in you! (from sydney)
One of those Echidnas was a female, the one in front leading the procession, the rest were blokes. Is this southern WA?
Hit more trees than Tarzan
You need a bushwacker to work with.
Any vids where you get one my friend ?
Import some badgers. They'll solve the problem.
Looks like you may go hungry
Lord please don't EVER let me hv to depend on a BOOMERANG to put food on the table🤷🏾.
Bro your form and stance after the release is epic! Plenty o rabbits n my town mate...I wanna give it a whirl.
Thanks mate
You're hurting for the wrong animal. Those type of Boomerangs are for Kangaroo. And big lizards. And shooting range is good, 15-30 meters for kill shot. As children 40 years ago when I was 13 we used to use them out Blacktown, NSW. Dennis-Michael. PS Your timeline are little mixed up. White = Bring Rabbits
Your hunting style is fruity
learn the fox walk
You have GOT to be crazy to walk in the Australian bush! There are 417 thousand things there that will KILL you. AIN’T NO WAY!!! 😳
Nah, if you grow up in it you don't even think about the dangers. Snakes are the only real problem but I personally don't know anyone who has been bitten. I've stood on a couple though - was a bit scary.
Do you ever hit one? Can you link a video ? We love these...We are looking for a hit...
I have hit plenty when the camera was off, so I'm trying my best. I hope to get one for you 🤠
It is amazing how as soon as you start filming yourself how much you degrade. I've nailed some (impressive to me) shots back to back, but then turn the camera on and can't hit squat!
Do people eat hunted rabbits ?
Some people do in Australia.
Is it for some "sporting" reasons you persist with going for rabbits on the run?
Surely sneaking up and throwing at an initially stationary target has a higher chance, since they are such excellent sprinter's.
Good luck anyways I can tell from seeing you over the year's your atleast persistent.
Double barrel boomerang’s .. I love it 👍 I hunted them with a sling shot when I was a kid . Now I use a .17 HMR 😂
Thanks, maybe I should use a .17 as well but there are already too many of those on YT 😉
@@wozzasboomerangI’m 58 with a crook throwing shoulder that’s my excuse anyway 😅 If I was a young buck like you I’d love to come out and join you. Thanks Wozza
Thought the title said rabbit hunting???
That's right. Rabbit hunting not rabbit 'getting'.
Expending a ton of energy for very little calories. You might become a vegan or practice a bit more my friend.
This has got to be the worst hunting weapon of all times
Empty video.
trash lol
You’re not good at this at all camera man too
You go try it then 😂
I have yet to see a successful rabbit kill with your throw stick
