Dont you think GymShark should be looking at sustainability in their products and business? Whats gymshark doing to combat environmental change aswell as how are gymshark doing their bit to have a positive effect on the environment instead of just focussing on profits
Going to be tough for them at this point - all the external investment will have shaped their future. At the end of the day, all investors care about is making money, and sustainable fabrics/trims are going to eat away at their margins. Never purchased GymShark before, but imagine if they do address sustainability, they will start with a tangible asset, like introducing eco mailing bags (if they don't already)? I go to sportswear trade shows every year, and the focus on sustainability becomes more prominent year-on-year, so I imagine they'll have to address it soon.
JJ I received a gymshark package a few days back, the packaging is biodegradable and quite eco friendly. The product itself is a high enough quality so that it wouldn’t be tossed in the next few years, it’s made to last.
It's been a year since I stopped buying your products. I was a big supporter from the start (€ 10,000 in two years, to give you an idea) and then I received a top with an obvious flaw in the embroidery. Tour team answer? It’s just an aesthetic problem, so the product is ok. Since then I have completely lost faith in the brand. I hope that the quality has really improved now ... who knows, maybe I'll come back and buy something in the future ... honestly I hope so.
Hey Ben I think you’re awesome! I was just wondering if I could finally get a bit of follow up on something that happened about two months ago now hah! I was wondering if I could get any feedback on an interview I was supposed to have with Gymshark on Thursday 14th March. I spoke with a member of your team on the phone on Monday the 11th to chat about my application for the role of ‘Customer Insight Analysis Internship.’ I was then told on the Tuesday to make sure I was available for a Skype interview on that Thursday at 5pm. But I have had no other communication since then. I tried messaging and emailing and have had no response. I genuinely would just like to know what happened. I had asked my manager to allow me to have a shift of work for the interview and I was really looking forward to it! I completely understand if the role was filled it just would’ve been nice if someone had been in touch with me to let me know the interview was not going to go ahead. I’ve never experienced anything like this from another company before and it was just a bit disheartening because I generally think so highly of your brand! Thank you!

Apparently she had emailed me (even though our communication had all been on the phone up to then, and the next communication arranged was to be a video chat...) sometime between the Monday and Thursday to tell me that they had decided they weren't going to interview me anymore, she said because I was from Northern Ireland and they wanted to keep this opportunity for 'one of their own' or something like that, which was again disheartening because when I spoke on the phone they knew where I was from and it is all part of the UK which is what the job was advertised as opened to.. It was all quite disappointing because the email definitely never reached me which is very strange for an email to go missing and to be honest I would have thought for an important message like that she would have stuck to the same method of communication. Then 6 months later after all that, I got an email saying sorry for the delay in response and that I hadn't been successful this time but feel free to check the career page for future roles. Sorry for such a long comment I just found the whole experience very disappointing coming from being someone who was a really loyal customer and had a lot of respect for the brand, it just really surprised me, just really rubbed me the wrong way haha!

@@uaapwvtsnaps134 - not really. Hong Kong has a 15% corporate tax rate and UK is around 20% so it won't make much difference. Plus they'll only be able to pay the Hong Kong rate on sales that ship from Hong Kong.
