It's quite hypocritical that Jerry Krause who's accused of breaking up the 1990s Bulls dynasty gets more heat than Jerry Jones for breaking the 1990s Cowboys Dynasty. The atmosphere in Dallas is glitz and glam. That’s not a serious football team. It’s a novelty act. Just for show.
The Jones don’t seem to grasp that being all-in requires keeping your core but also bringing in a few signings that shore up some of the shortfalls that your current team has. Retaining your core and only signing players on decent deals to add on really only works if your team is already making deep runs. If you’re coming well short of expectations only retaining a core tells your fans that you’re content to underachieve and to not have hope you’ll make the next step. Believing they will feel otherwise requires an arrogance that you can convince your base that everybody you’re keeping will simply improve enough to get different results despite never doing so for years prior. There was a time that Jerry truly expected to win but that hasn’t been the case for awhile now. Jerry has arrived st the stage that he is satisfied as long as the team remains the most valuable in sports even if they never truly contend again. Such an opposite of the guy who had the balls to fire the teams only coach and let Jimmy Johnson make major moves that were questioned at the time to win and they did. It’s too bad the arrogance ended the winning so quickly.

Is Henry a great back? Yes. Do the cowboys draft better than almost every team in the NFL? Yes. Are there many excellent offensive players in this year's draft? Yes. All of these things are true. And "Hope," Michael Irvin, is just a great way to greet disappointment.
Problem is they don't have enough picks to plug in the holes. This forces the Cowboys to draft for need, which means reaching for a position of need. This is a bad draft strategy l.

The cowboys moves in the 90’s (haley & prime) had a couple of effects that gets overlooked and jerry hasnt really done it since: 1st they took away a great weapon from their greatest rival, and 2nd they added a great weapon to their team. The team that have killed the cowboys the last few years have been 49ers, now imagine if they took a fred warner from them via trade, or a deebo samuel, ward or even aiyuk. These players shut the cowboys down and/or torched them consistently. Why did jerry ever get away from this system of taking away the great weapons from the cowboy killers?
