Beautiful cars! Here in the US, the 1975's came with L-Jetronic fuel injection. I had a 1970 Kadett B Rallye 1.9, purchased in 1973, then a new 1974 Manta A, like these cars. The Manta was great but not so roomy inside, so when the 75's were out, I traded it in for a new 1975 Ascona A. Our 5 mph bumpers were useful. Over the car's life, I was hit a few times, but the worst of the damage was a broken signal light lens, so they helped me to be able to keep the car until 1988, and it was still in decent condition for its age. These Manta A and Ascona A cars were great, but unfortunately, very rare now around here (southern New England).
Nice! I had new US spec. '74 GM (Buick) Opel Manta as a kid. Unfortunately, mine had the bulky 5 mph bumpers, but it still looked good to me back then! The plus side; they made a nice seat for you and your friends. :-) I see the rally car has fuel injection. I may be wrong, but I think the US version was carbureted up until '75. I suppose it's only fair you Germans get the good stuff first (was it good?). I ended up putting a Weber on mine.

I had two Opel Manta A's in the '70s in Ohio. Very same colors as in your video. Always a favorite cars that I've owned. Thanks for your video.
