For the virtual assistant business how do you handle it once you've found the VA? Do you receive the work assignments from the client and pass them to the VA and then pass them back from the VA to the client and then pay VA at the end of the month?
Successful business depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!
Starting early is simply the best way of getting ahead to build wealth , investing remains a priority . I learnt from my last year's experience , I am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time .
Agreed, financial advisors play a key role in portfolio allocation and i've been using one since late 2019 just before covid outbreak. So far, I'm barely 25% short of $1m ballpark goal after subsequent investments.

Another Idea 💡 Web design - hire overseas to build the website for less than $1000 charge 5k-10k per project with 20% down up front sign 5 clients made 10k in down payments 40k In invoices waiting to be paid when project is completed AND charge $50-$500 per month for maintenance which can be automated so it’s true passive income Use AI to write contracts and with so many new businesses being started everyday you have an infinite amount of clients
I have run a company in this space for roughly 20 years. I started trying to do what you are describing and quickly found that there are really 2 types of clients. One of them wants a site as cheaply as possible and has a budget of maybe $2-5k. They want the world for that money and you will make nothing. The other wants a full blown agency and has a budget of $50k and up. We now focus exclusively on the later. Don’t chase the small projects or you will go broke competing with overseas companies.
As the owner of a brokerage and the owner of a video production company I have no idea how anyone would be turning a profit offering to shoot videos for $100. Let's assume you already have the $2,000 drone and $1200 iPhone. Let's assume it only takes 30 minutes to drive to a house and get set up. Let's assume it only takes 30 minutes to shoot (unrealistic unless its just drone), then 30 minutes home. Let's assume it only takes 30 minutes to import the footage and the agent makes zero changes to the final product (absolutely unrealistic). Under the most perfect assumptions you've now made $25 per hour. Take out tax, fuel, mileage, insurance...you could have worked at McDonald's for more money and at least got free fries.
@@melissavega8964 I charge $100/hr and rarely give a flat fee because people make SO many changes to videos. The liability of putting a drone up to make a few bucks an hour is irrational.
I think the she is recommending taking the pics from the listing and ru Ning them through a video editor. Clearly o n those real estate sites nobody is doing it or almost nobody. Nowhere does she mention drones, getting in your car and driving to all these places. Just take what is there and use that
Take the micro greens portion of the video with a grain of salt. Most states require you to get licensed to sell microgreens and even then you might be limited to selling to people in your own state. Since you need to get licensed, you’ll need to invest in your grow facility. Your facility will be under the scrutiny by an inspector. Your license depends on the cleanliness and safety of your nursery. You will have to invest time in making a facility. I should also note some states allow nurseries in residential areas but it varies by state and even local counties. It’s not impossible, but it’s way more time intensive than Codie leads you to believe.
Investment banker here. I may be in England but ROI stands for return on investment. If you say return on income those words mean what would actually be called the “multiple” to real money people. You are self taught. No harm unless you misinform others… take care and read books.
She may have misspoken, but she’s absolutely not a self-taught person who needs to go read books. She’s a multi-millionaire who used to work for Goldman Sachs and owns at least 26 businesses.
These are great ideas. One issue worth mentioning as it relates to the the wedding rentals...it takes longer than "one hour" to set up a wedding arch and a 20 x 40 tent. Multiple people may be needed because these tents are heavy. Also need to consider the vehicle and trailers needed to deliver these items to the wedding site. My family runs a wedding venue and I can attest to this.
Okay but do the math on making 100k from 50 bucks a pop for video editing. That’s like 7.6 videos per day 5 days per week assuming you want days off. As a video editor, if you’re cutting together raw footage that you didn’t shoot it means you’re downloading and pre-watching all of the footage, finding a cohesive cut, color correcting and finding royalty free music, adding text and adding logos/intros etc then uploading and delivering. That’s roughly an hour of work per video if you know what you’re doing. And that’s assuming you’d be able to find an agent who has worked with a videographer who doesn’t edit their own footage. It’s usually a package deal and comes with years of experience and tons of equipment including drones for the shots you’re showing. That’s without the hours it would take to generate your own leads by personalizing emails. I love the information you’re sharing but this isn’t a realistic model if you are looking for high ROI. Most videographers make a decent amount but it comes with years of experience, investment in equipment, and is a hugely competitive industry. There’s not really a world in which you can just find 2000+ pre-filmed videos to edit per year in a couple hours per day. That number isn’t sustainable in this industry. If it’s that easy, the videographer is doing it and working it into their cost. A more realistic model would be to go on fiverr or something and offer up your editing services to videographers. But there’s also already a sea of people doing that.
I think you make some great points but you have to remember 100K a year isn’t made easily. I think you’re shooting yourself down before you’ve even had a chance to get up! Yeah, you’re no videographer but there’s a reason why there’s a sea of them. There’s always competition because people want to hustle. What you have to think more of is: how can I be the best and outsmart everyone else? Your solution of settling for going on fiverr says a lot more about you than what Codie’s advice does.
There is NO SUCH THING AS AN HOUR PER VIDEO. It always amounts to 4-7 hours of work usually sorting shots, graphics, animation, and with client back-and-forth making revisions it just doesn't add up. I've advertised in social media every possible way in my local market offering, free-one time incentives. Radio silence. When I worked at different TV stations cutting commercials for lawyers and real estate agents, it took 15 sales people to generate enough work for 2 editors per week. I've been shooting and editing for over 25 years. If its so lucrative, why did Sam hand over his business to go work for someone else. She's not paying him over $100K a year.
@@cognitivearchitect Oh by all means, waste your time if you have such time to waste. However 100k per year is certainly made easily if you aren’t chasing frivolously under-researched overly optimistic schemes in an overly prosumer saturated market. And you are correct. I’m not a videographer. But I have been. Now I’m a producer. What’s your experience in the industry?
that's exactly what i though, and then when she said is a low cash investment all you need is a camara i wanted to cray. my camara is 3k and you still need to buy lenses hahah. But lowkey it is a way to quick your 9 to 5 you just need to charged more and do the videos and pictures your self.
How about a simple parking lot litter cleanup service? Yes, it's not sexy but fortunes are being made by ordinary people who are willing to clean up after others. I own a Mobile detailing business and I tried sub contracting and it’s always failed me in the past. 1) The subcontractor gets greedy and wants more money 2) Subcontractor thinks they are working for me and decides to back out even tho I’m feeding them leads 3) They try to steal my contracts or end up loosing them from not doing a great job! If you know a way around this plz let me know Codie.
Put non competes in place and work really hard to find the right people. Churn is a part of business it unless you learn to let go of some of the work you’ll forever have to do everything yourself. I always take this to heart: the entire world works without my oversight or guidance. Certainly I can find a few great people that can help me fulfill contracts.
I don’t own a business but the 1st thing that came to my mind was what if they steal my clients and am no longer need to be the middle man. The second been what if they don’t do a good job.
I would consider a non-compete agreement so they cannot steal your clients. Have a contract where they pay you for backing out of your agreement to service the leads. I would use more than one subcontractor and the best subcontractor gets more leads... but I keep searching and trying out subcontractors. ALSO... I would have my best subcontractor do the first couple of jobs for a new client and then I would try out a different contractor on that account. I hope that helps with giving you some ideas.

So the area I moved to, if you start a window cleaning business you’ll be the only 1. No worries about being on top, with pretty much anything, there’s at most 3(besides hair salons). I own a commercial building that’s empty. I don’t have any money to start anything but I’m ready. The business here doesn’t use the internet or hashtags. I’m in Manistique Michigan. We don’t even have a regular coffee shop and no Walmart or target or anything of that nature. I came from a wealthy family, money in probate now BUT I look around and see dollar signs. Right on Lake Michigan, it’s a gorgeous tourist town.
Wedding business is very difficult. Everything has to be perfect the way the client wants. Not a bow out of place, nothing off color, not even a little bit (even if you can't see it, but they can), everything absolutely perfect.
That's why you stick to rentals and not planning. You setup and bounce. The planner is responsible for ensuring the clients vision comes to life. As a rental company, its your job to ensure you deliver the requested items, that they are good quality, and that you show up on time.
As a florist, I love your ideas on hiring out wedding arches, but your pricing seems to be ... off. For instance, I just checked, and one very basic pop-up marquee that's just a frame and a canvas roof, 6 x 6 metres, is $4,395.00. Your visuals show something about $20 grand, and it would take a lot more than 1 hour to set up, surely. You also need a van or trailer to transport arches or tents. A decorated arch, without flowers, is about $200 to hire. I don't know *how* you'd get $1500 per wedding - without flowers! I really, really want to know, though!
Additional business expenses required: business insurance, workers compensation major even if you get sub-contractors. If those workers get injured. You are on the hook for medical expenses and personal injury claims. California and other states have laws on workers are employees. Employment taxes additional expense.
I think that best way to start up with low costs is to take inventory of what you already have. Tools, contacts, skills, resources, talents. Put them all on a white board and see where your resources can fulfill a need. Step two make sure your idea fulfills that need. I would make “burner” calls selling my services. I would call businesses outside of my service area to practice my pitch and see what questions come up. Take notes and adjust your pitch and start selling in your area.
The best thing I did when I started Handyman business was take property management companies as clients. It takes a little longer to get paid and the downside is you have to cover all costs. At the very end of the day it’s a guarantee pay day. I recommend diversify them as a source of a revenue and don’t rely on private customers 100%. It allows me to pick and choose private clients and weed out the difficult customers.

The problem with subcontractors in the service industry is you don't have control over the workers. This can become very problematic and if things go wrong, it's hard to maintain or save the client. It's not a bad idea, but also not a great idea. Codie Sanchez in this video doesn't go over the cons on this issue, I feel if you don't give out the cons you are not being transparent on the window cleaning business idea.
That was my concern - it's just not accurate to claim you'll never have to work with the client directly. For that Handyman business for example, which I do think is great. But you will have to handle each of those clients one at a time & make sure the work is done not just properly, but outstandingly well for you to grow. So now you're handling sales, customer service & managing "staff" even if they are outsourced, you'll have to micro manage each job for at least a while because it was done under your business name. It's still a great idea, but all of these are much more work than is being expressed here.

For the wedding arch business, it's important to factor in how you will transport your arches to your job sites. If your car's not big enough to haul them then you'd need a trailer and assuming you don't already have one, the start up cost for this business would be more than $3K. Good business idea, but it definitely costs more than 1-3k to start.

On the microgreens part, recommend Donny Greens to reference on TH-cam. Also some not so obvious things, watch your humidity levels & airflow (easiest way for illnesses), & watch market opportunity (farmers market may end up good for advertising & transitioning to direct to consumer more sensible). This from an ex-farmer & gardener who for a time dabbled in micro-greens.
I have micro greens. The farmers markets wanted $400-$700 a week for a stand. I tried advertising in a small paper that was $100 a month. I tried word mouth and Internet and the cost to deliver them all over the county, it just wasn’t worth it, I’ve had a maintenance business for three years now we’ve tried Angies List and other things unless you can do a lot of construction trades which I can’t do by myself. The jobs are just too big or they’re beyond my scope of experience. The wedding arch business is storage intensive. Whether you have space in your home workshop or need to hire a self storage shed it's another cost to be aware of.

@codiesanchez, quick question about the video editor gig, so let's say you only charge the client $200.00 USD per video job according to your video you would need at least 50 jobs in order for you to get to the $10,000/month income and you need to to get at least 13 jobs per week or 500 jobs per year in order for you to reach $100,000/year of income, which is a tall task to do every year.

I’d be retiring or working less in 5 years, and considering this financial recession, I’m curious to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or invstments, I earn around $250K per year but nothing to show for it yet.
Soon affordable housing will no longer be affordable so anything you want to do i will advise you do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow . Until the Fed clamps down even further I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation.
You can't halfway rip the band-aid off. The Booms and Busts are the ebb and flw and any ass-ets will be affected by it. If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best m0ves to take now it will be best you seek an independent br0ker who knows about the housing/financial mrkts for proper guidaannce.
@MelbournecityyTrue, we’re only just an info away from amassing wealth, I know a lot of folks that made fortunes from the Dotcom crash as well as the 08’ crash and I’ve been looking into similar opportunities in this present mrkt, could this coach that guides yo help?
I have saved myself from all the hassle that the chaotic mrkt causes. These days the best way to come into the mrkt space is seeking guidannce, due to side hustles i can’t handle my portfolio so i just work with Kayla Tabitha Rodrigues, a FA i came across via a recomendtion from one of these TH-cam retirement coaches.
Hot dog trailer. Go to fairs, downtown, areas with high rise buildings and not a lot of lunch options. You just need a food permit, a free resellers permit and insurance. No commissary needed since it isn’t raw food. Sell hot dogs, drinks, chips, cookies, fruit cups, tuna sandwich, premade salads etc..
Thank you, I know I'm the weird person here, but watching your videos got me through one of my most intense panic attacks I've ever had tonight, so yeah, thanks ❤
Folks, I can’t stress this enough. Do your homework before starting a business. These TH-camrs mislead people. If you are doing a window cleaning or handy man business, you need to make sure you have the proper insurances if you want to go after businesses. I run a business. I have to have $1 million in liability. That’s about $100 a month. My commercial vehicle insurance for an 8 year old truck is $6700 a year here in Florida :(. And that’s not even counting my trailer. One of the first quotes I got was for over $10k for a year of vehicle insurance. Commercial is very expensive, even if you have a good driving record. As for subcontractors, if you do use them, they have to be insured. If they damage anything at a property, guess whose ultimately responsible, you are. If you are looking to start a business, do your homework. Get quotes and figure out cost involved. Don’t just listen to these TH-camrs with these clickbait videos.
AWESOME advice. Yes, this is how it is in the real world. Great ideas, but it's down to implementation. Codie does not risk anything in these videos. If anything, she will then buy-up the business YOU guys have started (and she is great at establishing these networks) but only the ones that SURVIVE and THRIVE. the rest of you - good luck
@@hk5454 You are right. They don’t mention much of the pit falls. It’d be good if they did. But we all know most of the videos are there to draw viewers. Then they get paid. I hate that. Cause people actually fall for it and make big financial mistakes.
Many people with chronic illnesses WANT to work and need doable ideas for work. This includes people with sensory issues (especially to lights or sound), mobility issues, or chronic fatigue. I know it's more challenging to think up jobs like this...but that's why we need a professional to suggest some! Just because a person has some limitations does not mean they can't do something, and many people want to.
CODiE ..I love your energy, business acumen and strategic insights. Could you consider a coffee cart business as a possible breakdown for me. I love the Wedding arch/ Any Arch business❤
This is So helpful. You show how working for self can really be done without a large up front cost. I shared this video with all 4 of my children.. Thanks so much for the info.
I have a friend who is a handyman and he says the same thing, well over 6 figures, he can't keep up with the jobs, he's offered me a job in the new year, for 2 to 3 days a week and the pay would be more than my current 5 day job.
I love that the initial capital outlay for the window cleaning business doesn't include the cost of a vehicle to move around the equipment- not even a wagon or a pushcart. Like she's expecting Joe Windowwasher to be out there schlepping his extension ladder, buckets, squeegies and cleaning solutions on his back.
Love her mindset and love her passion but starting up a window cleaning/pressure washing company costs at least 4k plus to start depending on if you already have the vehicle for that type of business and what marketing strategy you are going to use. Plus gas expenses and maintaining your vehicle. Then getting a business liscense/LLC. But with that being said its still not a heavy cost to start up and start earning a good income. With all this being said I love this video!
Hi Codie! I stumbled upon your site today and must say that your attention to detail is very impressive! Extremely informative! Thank you for sharing your hard work with us! You're helping so many people who just needed a bump to get going! God bless you and your family! Take care!
The handy man gig is only good when serving the high middle class and the wealthy Those in the lower middle class and those in the poor class will try to negotiate a lower rate. I think everyone should realize that these business startups are great if you select the right customer demographic to serve.
You’re missing the part about seasonal and frequency in your window model. Each house might clean windows once or twice a year so to make money you need far more than 2 or 3 customers.
WE need a truck to carry the ladder, but he biggest problem is getting paid by the people you subcontract to. (Been there done that) This is a situation where we need to collect the cash and get discounts on the service so we hold the money and make sure they schedule the work when the client wants it. Insurance is a big thing too. These people doing the work need to be licensed and bonded and not people standing around at the Home Depot parking lot. In crazy CA here, anything over $300 needs to be a written proposal,
Sell the leads. Or collect the money & pay the contractor not other way around. Example. I recently paid Price line about $510 for a hotel stay at hotel up block from the one we wanted. That hotel issued a refund… so Price line could let us rebook. I overheard that hotel on the phone w PL refund $369.00 Price line probably made the difference! Maybe you can too….😊
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Hello, I am new when it comes to investing and i would really appreciate if I could get some tips about where it is worth to invest in (ETFs, Stocks, Growth stocks, Dividend stock etc.)
Thanks for this tip. His website popped up on the first page immediately I searched him on google web, I read through his resume and it seems pretty tight. So, I dropped a message & hopefully he replies soon.
All good until the company you subcontracted reaches out to the job contact, undercuts your rate and takes them away. And to sell a service business you better have a bunch of contracted work or recurring clients. The possible exception is if you are doing a rollup into a company you already own.
Silly question here: let's say you subcontract another cleaning company. Do they get to wear their uniforms with the competitor's name? Wouldn't my client be disappointed after getting the job done by a company they did not ask for? Maybe it's possible to negotiate my own uniform into the deal?
This is a genuinely great video. Concise, clear, and simple. Engaging the whole way through. And no bullshit! No fluff. Thank you for showing 'tubers how it's done!
Thanks for the video. I have been tossing the idea around about starting my own handyman services. Lots of doctors and nice neighborhood people don't even own a drill.

Exactly ! That's my major concern and what kind of profitable business or investment can someone do with the current rise in economic downturn
Agreed, financial advisors play a key role in portfolio allocation and i've been using one since late 2019 just before covid outbreak. So far, I'm barely 25% short of $1m ballpark goal after subsequent investments.
I've actually been looking into advisors lately, the news I've been seeing in the market hasn't been so encouraging. who's the person guiding you?
My CFA ’ Sophia Maurine Lanting’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
We started a Photo Booth company 5 years ago, we make almost 6 figures a year for working fridays and saturdays only, ROI in less than a year.
What types of people or for what types of events is the Photo Booth usually rented out?
How do you get most of your clients especially when starting out
Did you get your machines from overseas ?
I don't get it 😢Everybody has a camera in their phone😮 one would think that a photo booth would not make any money

People say 'Master of Digital Business' was banned on multiple platforms for revealing too much about easy online income. The author has gone missing, but the book is still on Borlest.
What's the book called?
it's called master of digital business..

Another Idea 💡 Web design - hire overseas to build the website for less than $1000 charge 5k-10k per project with 20% down up front sign 5 clients made 10k in down payments 40k In invoices waiting to be paid when project is completed
AND charge $50-$500 per month for maintenance which can be automated so it’s true passive income
Use AI to write contracts and with so many new businesses being started everyday you have an infinite amount of clients
The market is already saturated with people already doing what you are suggesting. Lemme know when you start generating serious income from your idea.
I'm a web developer, and in my experience, people/organisations willing to pay $5000 for a website will want to use a big fancy web design agency.
Yeah good luck getting 10k for a website build 😂😂
Maybe if you niche to only doctors and lawyers. But a gym or nail salon ain’t paying 10k
How much do you usually charge?
I’m curious on what you charge
@@melissavega8964 I charge $100/hr and rarely give a flat fee because people make SO many changes to videos. The liability of putting a drone up to make a few bucks an hour is irrational.
Ty vid editors people 1 min on screen 1 hour in production
It’s not impossible, but it’s way more time intensive than Codie leads you to believe.
appreciate you pointing this piece out!
Also, microgreens are higher risk because of their susceptibility for bacteria
micro greens is a waste of time
Investment banker here. I may be in England but ROI stands for return on investment. If you say return on income those words mean what would actually be called the “multiple” to real money people. You are self taught. No harm unless you misinform others… take care and read books.
Let her tell it, she came from investment banking 🙄
It's almost as easy as going for a walk. The service is performed on-foot with simple hand tools. I started this in 1981 as a side hustle and grew it into a six-figure business of 40+ years!
That’s amazing
Nice man! How'd you get it started?

Where do you live that has that much trash thrown around ?
She is a beast at sales....and that my friend, is by far, the cheapest way to start and scale a business. 😉
This is true, I myself used to run a welding business and ran into these issues too.
Exactly. This applies to most of the business she talks about. Not that there's nothing to learn.
So nice to see one of these that isn't "start a blog" "use affiliate marketing" I'm new to this channel and am blown away at the quality information that is being given away.
I really like the last side hustle. I can see myself doing this for UI/UX design which is what I'm currently studying. I have a new motivation to start my own business, thank you for sharing!
Codie, I would love to see you do a special on businesses you can specifically do in a small town. 20,000 people or less.

and considering weddings are planned 6-12 months out you can charge a 50%deposit (much of which can pay for the arch, tent or whatever the client is renting) within enough time for you to purchase/ or construct the items needed, so many of the upfront cost is paid 30, 60, 90 days prior to needed delivery

Renting wedding arches and decorations ????
😊1+❤😊¡
I have done this and I agree 100%

Excellent idea!
Do a video on customer acquisition! You’ve picked your business, built the systems to make it work. It’s opening day, and there’s no customers beating at your door for your product/service. What do you do?

Window cleaning in the UK costs nowhere near that much. For a 4 bedroom Victorian terraced house in the North West you pay about £30
Try windows cleaning in the Netherlands. If you start in a random neighborhood, before you know it some other window cleaner will ask you what you are doing in his 'territory'. If you ignore this, before you know it something might happen to your car (or to yourself).
Good luck 🎉

How's it going? I'm genuinely curious! Wish you well
The problem with subcontractors in the service industry is you don't have control over the workers.
She did mention the trade off to low start up cost was the work to get it going.
All business have this problem, and it’s ok
Codie is good and helpful, but she is definetly not 100% transparent.

ROI does not mean return on income. It needs return on INVESTMENT, which is a completely different thing. Quite literally, how much are you getting back on your investment.
And it's not pronounced "Eksettera"... but you can't expect too much. It is a woman giving financial advice, after all.
@@Jsitun low bar, whats wrong with a woman giving financial advice Justin

My wife and I just found your channel today. You immediately jumped on top of our fav channel. We’ve been very conservative investors due to our current life stage. Thank you for your content and we can’t wait to utilize your info. Thanks again!
Success doesn't happen overnight.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. You have to pace yourself, put in the work, and be consistent day in and day out if you want to achieve your goals.
You are right. Been thinking of going into gold and cyptocurrency
Yes I'm a living testimony of Anna S Wilson, her platform has also done a great thing for me
I met Anna wilson at a conference meeting here in Singapore.
I made $32,300 in just 7days of trading with her
Having monitored my portfolio performance, Anna wilson has made me a jaw dropping $370k from just the past two quarters alone. I have learned why these experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market
It incredible how much value Codie offers each time. I hope one of these works in India as well.
Thanks so much for all of your inspiration Codie! Certified welder and licensed handyman. Looking forward to scaling up. Asking for reviews is definitely huge. Following up on Customer Service and making sure they’re happy can be difficult but well worth it. 🎉
Hello Codie! I've been a watching your videos for a month now and this one made a huge impact to me. I'm a beginner video editor from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and you just gave me the idea of being a real state video editor. I appreciate you sharing informative videos like this. This helps people from the 3rd world country like me to see things differently, especially in pricing the quality service we can provide. You inspire me a lot. Maraming Salamat (Thank you very much) and may God bless you more! 🙏
My brother and I have been wanting to start a service business in a rural area, but it is growing with businesses. I am retired at 63 and he is 53. We do want to start small and just want some part time money coming in. Really enjoying your videos and hope to have a business by end of year.
I just watched this and I’m wishing I found you 30 years ago! My husband bought your ur course and we’ll be cozying up with it this weekend. Watching this today I kept having mental pop ups. Two people popped up for the Art biz idea; another pop up on video editing; my mother-in-law for micro greens and she has everything right now to do it. She tried once but didn’t have your ideas to grow it. And another pop up on the Handy Woman Man idea.
Now I’m thinking ⚡️how do I present to them each idea and get a percentage of profits if they go for it? 🤔😎 how do I Cody it? I’m gonna watch this again. Thank you from a 60 something looking to cash in on your contrarian genius. Never too late… not dead yet! 🤪

As a microgreen grower, I have to say Jonah is the MASTER of microgreens and his course is definitely worth taking! (no, I'm not an affiliate or anything, I just found his course very helpful)
Also, you should really learn about marketing in the farming space to do well! It can be very hard to start up and scale if there's not a good market or if you aren't good at selling them!
Nice. Who are your main customers -- restaurants, farmers' markets...?
Hello Codie. I'm so thankful! You showed up right when I needed you! Thank you for the business ideas and for making us understand that it doesn't have to be so overwhelming to begin and run our businesses. Thank you a million times over.
The micro greens actually take 7 to 10 days to sprout from time they are planted. So you would have at least two harvests, possibly three in thirty days.
What about the costs of lights and packaging? Not mentioned.
As well as cost and time of delivery, harvesting, electricity. Renting space if you want to scale up?
@@michellekoopmans852 I'm a food scientist and I highly recommend running the opposite ay from this. Way too easy to kill people because sprouts and micro greens are prone to pathogenic bacteria growth. This is not a business for a non-farmer/non-food industry to start, at least not without tons of research, oversight and liability insurance.
The micro greens will also need to be refrigerated at some point which was not mentioned.

Codie, can you do a video on book keeping? Should I hire it out right away or take a class? How do you find someone you trust? It seems like it’s foundational and should be done from the beginning. If I go buy equipment it should all come from a business bank acct. What if I didn’t and my equipment is all personal? When and how do I transfer those equipment into my business? Who do I ask?
Love your content!
Thank you for the Real Estate video editor idea. I have been a graphic and web designer for 30 years and have been in real estate investing for 4 years. Talk about marrying things I do already to make money.
I don't think she's ever attempted that as a business. The recommendation she gives from Zillow and what not aren't up to date listings and many 'agents' don't reply. I've been interested in purchasing houses and none of these agents ever got back to me.
@@xejelah I have had quite the opposite. I met an agent of Zillow that I have been working with for 5 years buying 7 investment properties.
Says all you need is a camera, shows hi def drone clips.
@@Cooper1 And some ability to actually edit video correctly to make it look professional. That's the real problem that people seem to be missing. Everybody thinks they're a great graphic designer until they actually meet someone who does graphic design professionally.
What resource/software could one use to cost effectively learn how to edit and then to produce videos? I can see the value in doing this for my own business and then offering the service to others
As was mentioned by another, you have to also consider food inspection and insurance. Microgreens are at risk for bacteria; hence, knowing what you're doing and following growing and hygiene procedures
A specific video for each of the seven businesses going into more detail would be SWEET!!
Wow, I have been searching for a side hustle to start. I’m so broke, it’s insane and I don’t wanna give my time to someone else (not if I can make a helluva lot more!) so watching this video has really inspired and motivated me to try. Just bloody try! I reckon I’m at an advantage because I have nothing to lose (and I also know how to video edit) but man, I gotta say for anyone reading through these comments. Don’t let people’s doubts get in your mind. That’s how you become like everyone else. The 3% of people who actually go off and attempt what Codie’s saying are the exact people she’s talking to. She’s talking to you and me, dude! As an assurance to myself and anyone who wants to say “fuck it, why not!” - reply here with “See you in 6-8 months” and we’ll come back to each other with a lot more dosh than we did before! Ya - set up, take down after photos then drive to next venue and do it all again with probably a different theme which you have to have with you. 4 is totally unrealistic. Maybe if you have a helper but there goes $$.
Yeah i killed my first grow
I have micro greens. The farmers markets wanted $400-$700 a week for a stand. I tried advertising in a small paper that was $100 a month. I tried word mouth and Internet and the cost to deliver them all over the county, it just wasn’t worth it, I’ve had a maintenance business for three years now we’ve tried Angies List and other things unless you can do a lot of construction trades which I can’t do by myself. The jobs are just too big or they’re beyond my scope of experience. You’ll have a hard time doing small jobs unless you’re in a very dense populated area, I still do handyman business, but only on the weekend by word-of-mouth advertising too expensive and has not paid for itself in the area. I’m at.
The wedding arch business is storage intensive. Whether you have space in your home workshop or need to hire a self storage shed it's another cost to be aware of.
Also, you can't possibly set up a tent on your own. That'd be so much work.
Codie mem, I regularly watch your videos for improving my listening skills for IELTS. I also get a lot of ideas about businesses.
ROI is return on investment not income
UNBELIEVABLE! This is probably one of the best videos out there on businesses that you can start for a little money and some of the comments are blowing my mind. It's like you're looking for somebody to hold your hand. I mean, can't you figure the rest out? There are pros and cons in everything. I don't think she was giving a seminar. I think she was opening your mind up; teaching you how to fish. Now, go fish! Bunch of haters.
Great video. My only suggestions for some of these would be to become bonded and insured. And consider spending money for LLC. Especially if you have employees
That's like saying "don't forget the phone bill".

@webbcityfilms haha love it!! So true indeed!
the bad part of the handy man option is that where your example is located (Seattle as am I) does not have a "handy Man" class license for res or commersh jobs. Leaving you to get a Contractors license in either on or two specialty area or a full on General Contractors license, all these require bonds and insurance, hense nearly 10k start up. Im not dogging this list i love the channel and all the info I just live here and have been on this road as I am a carpenter and work loosely around licensed req. projects lol. no insurance\warranty agreement with the client is a good back door!
1. (A) I actually recognize some of those CLIPS in your event rental section🙂. However, (B) I am not confident re the amount of indoor marriages being only 22%(!!!). Not where I live in 6-7 months of coldness. …2. Not everyone feels like farming out editing to India and Vietnam so, true. And, a very good friend of mine does big name movies and makes 100s of 1000s per year. …3. Fiverr doesn’t necessarily have a good reputation, but loved Brett’s biz. 4. I think I want to be a TH-cam sponsorship broker. Cheers.
This is by far the most valuable video I have ever found on TH-cam in this space. Thank you so much for this much-needed content! I now have an actionable idea to work with instead of all of the stereotypical side hustle videos.
I’m just getting into the idea of business. To most people this all sounds boring, but to me it seems exciting. I’m willing to do the hard work and eventually I know that insider information will come my way you just have to get dirty. That’s commonsense…. I am a single widowed mother with a 12 year old girl and I’m making 30,000 a year. I’m drowning myself in knowledge of investing and business! To me this is the only way out of my situation. I’m hungry feed me🍼
With regards to the cleaning business, how do you build a brand when the sub contractors are showing up for work with their own branded vehicles, will this not confuse the customer. Also whats stopping the customer from building a relationship with the sub contractor and cutting me out of the deal? BTW - I saw your video with Steven Bartlett and I was blown away, you're very inspiring. Thanks
Put a noncompete clause into place with the subcontractors so they cannot steal your clients or cut you out.

I may not have any role models in person, but thank you Codie for being at least one female online I can look up to.

Codie, Thanks again for providing , Honest FYI and "now do it" information. Appreciate it.
I have a friend who is a handyman and he says the same thing, well over 6 figures, he can't keep up with the jobs, he's offered me a job in the new year, for 2 to 3 days a week and the pay would be more than my current 5 day job.
Thank you Codie for the authentic value you bring to people for free!! I have shared this with my family!
Thanks Codie for this video. I needed to hear this to get going. I appreciate you for this.
You have some great points, but if you paid someone $2,500 to clean your fence, you better have 20 acres or more.
Hi Codie! I stumbled upon your site today and must say that your attention to detail is very impressive! Extremely informative! Thank you for sharing your hard work with us! You're helping so many people who just needed a bump to get going! God bless you and your family! Take care!
The handy man gig is only good when serving the high middle class and the wealthy
Those in the lower middle class and those in the poor class will try to negotiate a lower rate.
I think everyone should realize that these business startups are great if you select the right customer demographic to serve.
You’re missing the part about seasonal and frequency in your window model. Each house might clean windows once or twice a year so to make money you need far more than 2 or 3 customers.
.....this is just an example. You can factor in all that for your own model.
Erm ROI means return on investment right? Weird she got that wrong...
Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.
Same here, 75% of my portfolio is in the red and I really don’t know how long I can stomach the losses. I’m beginning to reach a breaking point.
Patience patience patience. It's a cycle.... a sucky point in the cycle, but a cycle nonetheless.

Please do you mind referring me to your financial analyst?
