Opinions: sweater construction, top down vs bottom up; socks: cuff down or toe-up; how to learn to fix more complicated knitting mistakes; what are the elements of superior project bags; which shows off yarn better, knit or crochet?; superwash vs non-superwash yarns?; metal vs wooden needles?
Aww! Such a sweet and beautiful guest. I would love to hear about how your preferences in yarn (fiber, weight, etc), tools, and type of projects have changed since your first year or two of knitting until now. Long wordy question but hopefully it makes sense.
Evee loved spending the podcast with you guys:) we just watched it! You guys are so fun to watch while doing baby stuff ahah! Thanks for watching her mom;)
Ladies I look so forward to the weekend when i get to grab my coffee and knits and watch your podcast. You are wholesome, relatable, intelligent and so talented women. I was wondering if Amanda will do a tutorial when the pattern goes live and we all get to knit it with her. That would be so amazing! I plan on taking one of your sweater classes. i live in California but I can do it remotely, right?
Jen and our team member Saysha both offer sweater classes via Zoom! You can check them out on the Classes & Events page of our website - classes shown in purple are via Zoom!
Cute baby! Love seeing all you knits/crochet. Here’s my #opinions question. What’s your favorite budget yarn and what great budget yarns do you carry in your shop? In my opinion, budget yarn is anything under $20 per 100g skein.
Åååhh my goodness she's is a beautiful baby girl. Just love babies. The chrochet blanket was gorgeous in every single way, so rich colours together. Plus what can I say ? Everything you do is toptop. Thanks for sharing
Very much enjoy your podcast! I love summer yarns, like Linen, cotton and Rayon. Is there a better fiber combination of these yarns to use that doesn't stretch out too much?
Hi Kathleen, Jen and Amanda, Genevieve is so precious, congratulations Amanda...beautiful baby outfit! My question is what is the best way to learn to do brioche ? Thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring episode. Happy Knitting!
If I started a sweater now to match Evie she would have grown out of hers way before I was finished ❤. Everyone has pretty much covered my opinion suggestions.
opinion- lacey shirts that you have to wear tanks or camis under...I see so many beautiful summer tops that are lacey but would still feel the need to wear something under it...not overly summer friendly...
I would like your opinion on the most mindless knits that look more complicated or sophisticated compared to the amount of planning that goes into them. Need last quarter school teacher mindless knitting both large for couch knitting and small for taking places...
Opinion: is there a way to knit a bucket hat. I do not crochet, and my step daughter would like one out of Studio Donegal Soft, a tweedy wool 100 gm is 190 meters, 210 yds. Thanks. Also, what is your favorite blend for a summer tee. Kathleen in Wisconsin
Enjoyed your time. Baby is so adorable! What’s your opinion on sweater necklines? Mine always seem to wide. Is there a reason I can’t knit the top down sweater and then do the neck last so I can get a better fit?
Seems like it took me forever to get around to watching this latest episode😒🥺Congrats on 4K ladies!🥳Your Granddaughter is adorable Amanda🥰My #opinion…some people think hand dyed yarn is too expensive! In my opinion they just don’t realize/understand the work/process involved! What are your thoughts?
Amanda, your grand-baby is precious. Kathleen your blanket aka cardigan is gorgeous! Jen I wish I lived in Montclair so I could take your sweater class. Your explanations are so clear. Any thoughts of doing Zoom classes? You know you have tons of available time!😅 Love you girls! Jen were did you get your tee shirt? See you next week! ❤
Jen is alreay doing her classes via Zoom! They're on the calendar on the Yarnia website, and SOworth it. And she records them, so if you miss one, you can watch the replay.
I was just popping in to say the same thing! My Sunday sweater classes are all via zoom so you can attend from anywhere! We even have someone taking it in Australia (that's commitment with the time difference!!)
So happy to see your latest podcast! What is the name of the pattern of Genevieve’s outfit? It’s so cute on her. Opinion: what style of sweater would you recommend for a large bust (or is there a style to stay away from)?
Hi there - this one is Benne Hentesset (may not be the perfect spelling, but it should be right and linked to Ravelry in our show notes for the last few podcasts of 2023, when Amanda was working on it! 😊)
#opinion what’s your preferred way to pull in a neckline that is too wide on a sweater cast-on at the neck and knit top down (slip stitch crochet around, weave in elastic thread, or other)?
Just found you gals very enjoyable . Thank you. Question: this is on a hat . A fold , double rim hat. I never just knitted rim, then fold. Have you done this and do you like it. Does it hug head an hold shape. I have always knit / purl rim. Thanks. About sweaters only knit top down sweaters so this was interesting maybe I will try
Hello ladies! i would like your opinion on using different types of yarns for DK socks. i know if you are wearing them in your shoes you should have nylon or something similar in the content, but what if they are for in the house? what are your dream dk yarns? i just made my first pair and i am looking for inspiration.
My name is Anne and I am a Slow Knitter. I have tried every style known to man, but still cannot speed up. Opinion question: How do I go about knitting faster?
