I just moved to Jacksonville from South East Florida (Jensen beach) and I find it so funny how excited you guys get over the Snook, especially when they are so tiny. Don't get me wrong, I understand why you guys are excited. Great quality video, can't wait to do some fishing here is Jacksonville sometime soon. Been here for a little over a year and have not had a chance to get out on the water. I no longer have a boat, but plan to get another one soon, hopefully. Prefer to fish offshore for the most part but I'm certainly not apposed to fishing inshore. How is the offshore fishing here in Jax? Do you guys get a lot of dolphin in the summer? How about some good wrecks offshore for snapper and grouper? Back home, 3 miles offshore we have a ton of wrecks in about 50ft of water and the Gulf Stream is just 10 miles offshore so we were spoiled there. Also, I can 100% tell a difference with the 4K camera. looks great!
Haha yea everyone goes crazy over a snook no matter the size here 😂. I think we outta have a really nice snook fishery over the next few years though! We have some good offshore fishing for mahi, kind, tuna, snapper, grouper etc but here your gonna have to go a lot further then 10 miles to really get on them. I go offshore a few times a year with friends but typically stay inshore. My dad is the offshore guy and I’m the inshore guy 😂. And thank you man!
Hey bud video looks great!!! Also you know a couple spots my cousin and can catch some fish here in Jax? We fish from shore until we get his boat fix. We got medium action rods and reels so we cant surf fish.

Yea man they are definitely here! You can find them in the intercostal and in St. John . Here in Jax snook tend to be found mainly in the more brackish water areas , and in heavy cover. A lot of the times rolling juvenile tarpon in brackish water is a good sign that snook can be in the area. So look at the back of long creeks and look for Estuary like area’s where the water does not move as fast . If you see top water blow ups that kinda resemble a large mouth bass. There is a good chance it is a snook.

Wish I could man! I can’t except payment until I get a captains license. Some guys without licenses will take people fishing for a “tip”. But I know a few guides and I wouldn’t want to do that to them. I plan on getting one though. But feel free to message me on fb or instagram And I can give you some pointers. There are a lot more of them in St. John’s River now then most think.
