The sad thing is ,4 the most part ,rome is an apostate church. Most of the people r not taught the bible. A Greek orthodox priest told me the Catholic church needs 2 repent, they elected a pope. Pope fransis, sad 2 say, is a defector . He will stand before Gods great white throne judgment. if he does not repent. REVELATION 17:6 and i saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints,+with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. I believe bishop Martin Sheen + others r very displeased with him.

His argument is that faithful christians today could legitimately interpret the relevant passages multiple ways, and that we should therefore look to the very earliest christians for the apostles' intented teachings. @@narrowwaytolife4525 it seems that you did not read the bible verses that i gave you. it's too obvious because the answer was there. or maybe you read but you were blinded by satan so you could not understand what you read. either way, it was your pride that stopped you from knowing or accepting the truth. but it's ok, i'll answer your question anyway. yes, we have direct contact with God. but we do believe that it's better if someone holier than us intercedes for us because we believe that they are now in heaven enjoying the beatific vision of God through their holy works while on earth. saints are close to God, so as in the old testament God commanded good people to pray for others on their behalf. job was asked by God to pray for his freinds who didnt speak of the truth about Him which made Him get mad at them. God knew job's freinds could pray directly to Him, but He asked job to pray for them because he was His prophet, job was close to God. so we catholics do what the prophets did because there was NO bible that time so we had to observe and practice the tradition of the early fathers and prophets of the church which was handed to us from generations to generations which we now call "holy tradition". and later, due to the great apostasy and heresy the church was facing then, the early bishops made the bible to protect the church from heretics and apostates. it seems to me that you pressume that your church came first rather than the catholic. you leave your church right now because it is not the true church of Jesus christ, the catholic is. and fyi, without the catholic church there would be no other christian denominations because your churches started from catholicism until luther formed his own doctrine to deceive you christians. luther himself was a catholic who prayed the holy rosary and believed that mary was the mother of God. so why do we pray to mary? simply because she is the mother of God and therefore she is most powerful in obtaining gaces for us. but your church rejects her and calls her dead. my goodness! DEATH IS THE WAGE OF SIN. mother mary could not die because she was without any stain of sin because she was chosen by God to be the mother of His son. so if you say mary is dead, then it is as if you are saying that Jesus is also dead. for how could a divine man come out of a woman if she herself was unholy? see how perverted your teachings are? so we bow to mary because we honor her for being God's mother. and we venerate the saints because we are thankful to them for answering our prayers through their intercessions. where is intercession in the bible? when mary and Jesus found out that there were no more wines at the wedding in cana, mother mary told her son Jesus to turn the water into wine. Jesus knew it was not His time to perform a miracle but since He was obedient to His mother, He turned the water into wine. this is the biblical basis of intercession. without mary's intercession, the water would not have been turned into wine. now when we bow or kiss or venerate the saints or the mother, this doesnt mean that we worship them. WE SIMPLY SHOW OUR LOVE FOR THEM. would you tell me that if you kiss and hug your loved ones you mean to worship them? absolutely, definitely NOT! right? so just like that! we kiss and hug or bow before their images but we dont mean to worship them. my goodness! and pray for the dead? it's in the bible but i wont tell you the verse because im pretty sure you would read it anyway. more questions? have i forgotten to answer something? then ask again.

Catholic church ruled the Kings of nations (Europe) and other countries forcefully.
Only priests and few are allowed to have the Bibles. Common people did not. They just listened what priest says and taught them the traditions and doctrines. People feared of being excommunicated.
Most people still don't read the Bible even now even though it is freely accessible.
After 35 years of attending the church I finally read the Word of God 5 years ago. Then I learned the real truth from the mouth of God. Rejecting man's teaching.
That's how Protestants were born. The Holy Spirit opened their eyes and they stood on the newly found truth even though they knew they will receive death sentence by disagreeing with Pope and Catholic churches teaching.
Seek and you'll find in the scripture, Jesus said.

      Mr. Narrow,
Catholics do not worship on the Sabbath, which according to Jewish law is the last day of the week (Saturday), when God rested from all the work he had done in creation (Gen. 2:2-3).
      CATHOLICS WORSHIP ON THE LORD'S DAY, THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK (Sunday, the eighth day);
      ▪︎THE DAY WHEN GOD SAID:
      “LET THERE BE LIGHT ” (Gen. 1:3);
▪︎THE DAY WHEN CHRIST ROSE FROM THE DEAD.
▪︎THE DAY WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME UPON THE APOSTLES (Day of Pentecost).
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: “The Church celebrates the day of Christ’s Resurrection on the ‘eighth day,’ Sunday, which is rightly called the Lord’s Day” (CCC 2191).
The early Church did not move the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Instead “The Sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced BY SUNDAY, which recalls THE NEW CREATION INAUGURATED BY THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST ” (CCC 2190). Sunday is the day Catholics are bound to keep, not Saturday.
      FROM SCRIPTURE:
      #1.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK when we gathered to break bread, Paul spoke to them because he was going to leave on the next day, and he kept on speaking until midnight (Acts 20:7).
      #2.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK each of you should set aside and save whatever one can afford, so that collections will not be going on when I come (1 Cor. 16:2).
      #3.
Let no one, then, pass judgment on you in matters of food and drink or with regard to a festival or new moon OR SABBATH (Col. 2:16).
      The Catechism also says:
By a tradition handed down FROM THE APOSTLES which took its origin from the very day of CHRIST’s RESURRECTION, the Church celebrates the Paschal mystery EVERY SEVENTH DAY, which day is appropriately called the LORD'S ’ Day or SUNDAY. The day of CHRIST’s RESURRECTION is both the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, the memorial of the first day of creation, and the “eighth day,” on which Christ after his “rest” on the great Sabbath inaugurates the “day that the Lord has made,” the “day that knows no evening.” (CCC 1166)
      Colossians 2:13-17
13 And when you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him, when he forgave us all our trespasses,
14 erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross.
15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it.
16 Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or SABBATHS.
17 THESE are only A SHADOW of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
      God bless.

The whole World should be praying this right now ... I stopped what I was doing, bowed my head and said this prayer. It put tears in my eyes
Let’s bow our heads and pray:🙏🙏🙏
Eternal Father, You made the whole World stop spinning for a while.
You silenced the noise that we all have created.
You made us bend our knees again and ask for a Miracle.
You closed Your Churches so we will realize how dark our World is without You in it.
You humbled the proud and powerful.
The economy is crashing, businesses are closing.
We were very proud, we thought that everything we have, everything we possess, was the result of our hard work.
We have forgotten that it was always Your grace and mercy that made us who we are.
We’re running in circles looking for some cure to this disease, when in fact we need to humble ourselves and ask You for guidance and wisdom.
We’ve been living our lives like we will be here on Earth forever, like there’s no Heaven.
Maybe these trials are Your mercy in disguise.
Maybe this virus is actually Your way of purifying us, & cleansing our souls, bringing us back to YOU.
Today as these words travel the internet, may all who see them join their hearts and hands together in prayer! Asking for forgiveness & asking for healing & protection from this virus...
GOD just wipe it from the Earth!
Father You have been patiently waiting for us. We’re sorry for ignoring Your voice.. and in our selfish ways, we've sometimes forgotten that YOU are GOD!😔
You only need to say the word and our souls shall all be healed.
We ask these things in Jesus name! ...

Here is what Jesus meant and actually said at The Last Supper:
*“Take, eat, this in My Body.”*
Now can you tell me what you think He said? Circle your best answer:
    1. “Take, eat, this is not my body.”
    2. “Take, eat, this is my symbolic body.”
    3. “Take, eat, this represents my body.”
    4. “Take, eat, this is a metaphor for my body.”
    5. “Take, eat this does even look like my body.”
At the Bread of Life Discourse, Jesus tells us that unless we eat of His flesh and drink of His blood, we will have no life in us. We see that St. John links the Bread of Life Discourse to the Last Supper by a series of exchanges and passages between Jesus and His disciples.
We learn that there is a devil among the Apostles and there will be a betrayal by this particular Apostle.
We see all that is spoken at the Bread of Life Discourse is revealed at the Last Supper. In Johns account, John 13:26-27, Jesus gives Judas ordinary, unblessed and unconsecrated bread, symbolic of the denial of all that is said at the Bread of Life Discourse. This bread is the only metaphorical bread that Jesus gives anybody, symbolic of all that Jesus said and did while he walked on the earth.
By the very hand of Christ Himself, Judas is giving this ordinary bread unblessed bread to Judas and satan enters him. Satan and Judas then abide one in the other.
The only metaphorical bread Jesus Christ ever gave to anybody, He gave to Judas and Satan enters him.
This bread is symbolic of a denial which leads to spiritual death.

U say u keep the commandments of God right
Guess u haven't read the passover
What happened when God commanded the Israelite
Till now, the Israelite celebrates the passover as commemoration and participation of what happened to their fathers.
They participate in passover as if what happened in occurring now
God gave Moses every instructions on how they should continue celebrating the passover forever
He even said, "Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants. When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony. And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you? then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’”
The Israelite celebrates it as they're participating in the time of which it first happened.
So the communion is celebrated as a commemoration and participation of what happened in the last super.
Paul told us that Christ our passover has been sacrificed therefore let the feast begin. U should read more on that n see to yourself. Paul wasn't there on the last supper but he speaks in manner that shows that he's currently participating in what happened during the last supper

Read the Bible and search the truth and pray for discernment directly to God not to use any other human being dead or alive. Do not follow men but God only.

I would like to say that we need to remember that both protestants and Catholics have one thing in common, and that is our love of Jesus. The last comments made by Dr Logan, were sad because in John 6 when Jesus makes the statement about eating his flesh and drinking his blood he loses hundreds of followers, in fact he's left with only the disciples. Jesus doesn't set the apostles aside and explain a metaphorical explanation, rather he asks the twelve whether they are going to leave also. Peter doesn't ask why Jesus is talking so oddly about drinking his blood and eating his flesh, he simply takes it on faith, that Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Now Jesus took a huge gamble, you might say, because if his disciples would have walked away, then there would have been no reason for Jesus arrest, death, no resurrection and therefore no salvation. This surely goes to show the magnitude of the Holy Eucharist.

They left because they will not willing to surrender to God completely. Jesus is the Word. They are not willing to eat his word and live by it. Catholic church created their own doctrines and made it as God's word.

This protestant man is misplaced, and he does not believe in Jesus Christ. He says he believes the apostles did not interpret Jesus literally. Does he know why the jews turned away from Jesus when he said they should eat his flesh & drink his blood?does he read paul's writing in 1corithians11:23 For I received from the Lord the teaching that I passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread, 24 gave thanks to God, broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in memory of me.” 25 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup and said, “This cup is God's new covenant, sealed with my blood. Whenever you drink it, do so in memory of me.”
26 This means that every time you eat this bread and drink from this cup you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 27 It follows that if one of you eats the Lord's bread or drinks from his cup in a way that dishonors him, you are guilty of sin against the Lord's body and blood. 28 So then, you should each examine yourself first, and then eat the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For if you do not recognize the meaning of the Lord's body when you eat the bread and drink from the cup, you bring judgment on yourself as you eat and drink. 30 That is why many of you are sick and weak, and several have died. 31 If we would examine ourselves first, we would not come under God's judgment. 32 But we are judged and punished by the Lord, so that we shall not be condemned together with the world.( Paul's instruction do not seem to me as if he understood that the bread is not the body of Christ. Indeed such protestants will stay in purgatory for a real long time)

If Jesus is not present in the Eucharist then I guess to protestants like this Dr., should not believe that God became man, born of a virgin mary, Jesus was not crucified, Jesus never resurrected, these things are impossible if Jesus can not be present in the Eucharist, he can not have accomplished these things, and thus protestants still leave in their sins. How could God be born from a virgin woman's canal body? to be a christian you have to believe that Yahweh is a mystery. He appeared to Abraham & ate from his tent, he appeared to Moses in a burning bush, he walked with the Hebrews in a pillar of cloud & fire, He made Moses a God before pharaoh & Aaron his prophet. Then Yahweh lived in the ark of the covenant among the Hebrews. He then got out of the ark of wood entered into the virgin womb, was born like a man, he accepted to be flogged by sinners to be their redeemer, he is Yahweh,he is the IAM, He is Yeshua ,he is the Holy Spirit. Unbelievers are doomed because that is Yahweh, he must do what man & satan can not do for him to save the world.

I stand with Jesus, the Fathers, and The Holy Scriptures all in agreement:
Just one of many Scriptures: 1st Jesus was born in Bethlehem which means "House of Bread". Then He gives a very clear teaching.
    Gospel of John Chapter 6:
47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living Bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this Bread will live forever. THIS BREAD IS MY FLESH, WHICH I WILL GIVE FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD.”
52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
    (Note: as people do today!)
53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat (in Hebrew: means chew) the FLESH of the Son of Man and drink HIS BLOOD, you have no life in you. (Jesus is Truth and He says this to all)
54 Whoever EATS MY FLESH and DRINKS MY BLOOD has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
55 For MY FLESH IS REAL FOOD and MY BLOOD IS REAL DRINK.
(catch that! He, Jesus, is telling you, HIS FLESH IS REAL FOOD. Not cannibalism like the jews thought! Not fake food like reading the BIble which is not "real food". He says He will become real food. Which, He can do because He is God. He goes on to make His point and REAL DRINK. He started His minister changing water into wine at a Wedding. Now as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Many are called to His Supper but who will come when the King invites? He transforms the Jewish Passover, which at the end after a pure lamb is killed the Jews HAD TO EAT IT! Jesus becomes Bread and Wine for us to consume HIM! Happy are those who are called to His supper. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me. In the last days, I think The Holy Eucharist will even protect our DNA from all this stuff being put out by the enemy. The old saying: "you are what you eat." Mystical BODY OF CHRIST, ENGRAFTED.)
And Jesus continues to knock this point:
56 Whoever EATS MY FLESH and DRINKS MY BLOOD remains in ME, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent ME and I live because of the Father, so the one who FEEDS ON ME will live because of ME. 58 This is THE BREAD that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
NOW Jesus is giving them the parallel Moses and the Israelites ate heavenly bread for food. God sent it with quails. As heavenly as that was and a miracle, this Bread is HIMSELF.
    The New Passover:
    The Last Supper
    Luke 22:
…19And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My BODY, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 20In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This CUP is the NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD, which is poured out for you.
Now we are commanded to do this just like the Jews were commanded to celebrate the old covenant with the passover meal remembering how God saved them out of slavery. We are to celebrate now Jesus saves us from the slavery of sin and satan.
After Jesus rises from the dead He meets two disciples: Luke 24:
35Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had RECOGNIZED JESUS IN THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD.
(oh another confirmation! But there are more, many more! Catholics stand firm for Our Lord is not a liar and His WORD is true. Know your Bible and your faith. When an evangelical comes to you, you can know how to answer. Pray to The Holy Spirit to help you speak the fire into their hearts and minds. For they do love Jesus, and debating means they have the love, and they are testing you (as Catholics). Show them the deeper Truth and show them your love and excitement for Jesus.

Protestants need to learn about Eucharist miracles. Not just those recorded of old, but present day scientifically-analysed Eucharist miracles. Watch Signs From God movie. I would also have mentioned more of John 6. What about the 'This is a hard teaching, who can accept it?' verse. This speaks directly to Dr Logan's argument about Jews not eating blood etc. No wonder so many disciples left and Jesus had to ask the Twelve if they were going to leave too! I don't understand how you can read John 6 and not see that Jesus means real presence. I guess eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear. Read John 6:25-64 from the perspective that Jesus means real presence and tell me what doesn't fit. I pray that, out of the glorious riches of the inheritance of Christ Jesus, His Holy Spirit, by the wonderful Grace of God, will lead you into truth. All praise and glory be yours forever and ever, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Love Father Groeschel! Let me just say, I am Protestant and love Catholics! It is true that there is a diversity of opinions about the Holy Communion within the Protestant faith. I would also say that the presentation of our position in these videos was not a good one and representative of all Protestants like Father Groeschel points out. Some of the principles being argued come from the more fundamentalist position within the church. Some Protestants do not really believe in the supernatural aspects of the Christian faith. They get freaked out by the word “mystery.” This is really evident with spiritual gifts and the Pentecostal/Charasmatic movement. For many Protestants we believe that Christ is present in the Eucharist, in a special way, that his anointing comes down, but is a spiritual presence. We don’t see anything techniquely wrong with believing it changes to Christ real body, but it seems to us that many Catholics are confused and begin to worship the bread over the true Christ in an unhealthy obsession. Again, that is a generalization of Catholics, but I don’t feel it helps when we see this on display. For many Protestants our objections to the Catholic faith does not solely rest on the Eucharistic teachings, but other patterns of behavior from the Catholic church teachings i.e. , infallibility of the Pope, veneration of Saints, shrines and worship to Mary, Purgatory, the way in which confession is handled, and restrictions on Priest marrying. Having said all of that, Protestants are wrong to judge the salvation of our Catholic brothers and sisters. We all believe in the one true catholic and apostolic church. I pray for unity and love these discussions. There are so many misunderstandings on both sides and lets face it....many Catholics who are devout or lukewarm convert to Protestantism and many devout or lukewarm Protestants covert to Catholicism. For my Catholic friends attend an Anglican/Episcopalian or Lutheran church service and you will be shocked at how similar the liturgy is with the Catholic Mass. Same format and everything. We are not as divided as we think and we all come from the same start.

There's an inherent character to this debate, that makes the protestant side seem arrogant or picky. It's because the Catholic side has the active hypothesis ("something is happening") whilst the protestant side has the passive hypothesis ("nothing is happening"). As lay people, we tend to be attracted towards those with an exciting story than those without. Just my obervations.

The Protestant brought up a valid question on what exactly the Apostles consumed during the "Last Supper". Read on to find out. . .
During the Last Supper Jesus says "This is my body...which is given for you" - He is referring to His whole person here.
Rudolph Pesch observes: "Jesus' interpretation of the bread presupposes the particular meaning of His person. The disciples could understand he was saying: this is I myself, the Messiah" (Markusevangelium II, p. 357)
How can this be, how can Jesus be given Himself before he goes to the Cross? Pope Benedict explains in his book titled Jesus of Nazareth vol. II, p.130
"He is bringing to fulfillment what He had said in the Good Shephard discourse: 'No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord' (Jn 10:18). His life will be taken from Him on the Cross, but here He is already laying it down. He transforms his violent death into a free act of self-giving for others and to others. And He also says: 'I have the power to lay [my life] down, and I have the power to take it again'. He gives His life, knowing that in so doing He is taking it up again. The act of giving His life includes the Resurrection. Therefore, by way of anticipation, He can already distribute Himself, because He is already offering His life - Himself - and in the process receiving it again. So it is that He can already institute the sacrament in which He becomes the grain of wheat that dies, the sacrament in which He distributes Himself to men through the ages in the real multiplication of the loaves."

Precisely because they were Jews they connected that the high priest offered the blood after the killing of the animal in the Holy of holys. When is the offering ends? When trompets sounds and the high priest ends the offering. In the end of time, after that there is no remission of sins.

Our Lord's words are too definitive and emphatic in John 6:53-58 and also when our Lord says "THIS IS is my body" "THIS IS my blood". He could've said "this is a SYMBOL" but instead He said "THIS IS" my body "THIS IS" my blood, He also said "THIS IS" the new covenant. No doubts in my mind. If He says that it is Him, then it is. Makes perfect sense to me.

What Protestants base their beliefs on is their own interpretation of the scriptures. The thing is what made them think they had the right to do this?what is that based on?the Apostles and early fathers knew where their authority came from to teach what is true. The reformers took it upon themselves to deside what is true. The bible is not the authority, the one who is teaching it is the authority even if he really isnt but is taking it upon himself to be.

Protestant says the disciples knew how to interpret the Lord as Jews. No they didn’t they had to be taught a new way to interpret the Law and still questioned and doubted Jesus and several teachings all through the gospel. That is why Jesus came only his word is law and only he can understand certain things nonetheless we are to obey him which the apostles clearly understood by faith and reason. He really sounds stupid but disguises it by trying to talk eloquently and has to talk slow to keep from contradicting other scripture that he leaves out or doesn’t understand clear lack of faith and is the relativism that Father Groeshel preaches on in first video of debate. Full of pride says we want to follow God and I want to ask why do you still sin and go against Jesus and his first followers that gave you the faith you like to pick apart and follow blindly?

Protestant guy owned the Catholic guy if we're being honest. Though catholic audience wouldn't recognise this.
Protestant guy: Why is there representation if Paul says He died once?
Catholic guy: well it's a mystery.
Protestant guy: Why would Jesus give apostles eucharist, which is joining in the sacrifise, if sacrifise wasn't even made yet, and blood wasn't spilled?
Catholic guy: well it's a myst...
Protestant guy: ...ery, I get it. I suppose, it's also a mystery why we drink literal blood according to your theology, even though jewish law strictly forbids it, and first council of apostles also forbid it?
    Catholic guy: ...yeah...
    Protestant guy: I thought so.
Catholic guy: but... but... SOME OF THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS BELIEVED SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS! :"(
Protestant guy: I'd go with what actual apostles believed in, thank you very much.

You are completely wrong here, Dr. Logan inability to understand the real presence of Jesuscrist in the Eucharist it's because of his limitations to understand that God doesn't think like us, and usually does and permit things that we cannot fully understand. Beyond that, we have the Catholic and Orthodox view of the Eucharist that comes from apostles (apostles that were infused with the holy spirit) and that had been given the authority directly by Jesus, they passed their interpretation of what Jesus truly meant to their disciples. Now, 2000 years later, we have ppl like Dr. Logan that read the bible and bring their own interpretation and they dare to say that the interpretation of the early church (the church that composed the bible) it's wrong...

@@liamblumeris6933 Well actually the church fathers did not agree with everything in the scriptures or we wouldn't have been watching this debate now would we? 2nd some church fathers took communion spiritually and others took it literally. I stand with the apostle who took it spiritually. Because if they would have took it literally they would have been considered cannibal. So subconsciously I don't agree with the church fathers. Some church fathers believe mary was a perpetual virgin but the scripture does not teach that. So for me the safest thing to do is stand by the scripture. God bless.
