Nathan, drop your blade using the excavator, gives you more stability.
Thanks for the morning coffee ☕️ video Nathan, I had an old barn that was full of carpenter bees boring holes. I was constantly shooting caulking in the holes when I would spot them. That 1st coat reminded me of a blue minwax pastel color I bought once to do a bookshelf.
🎶 track? It’s *Shoes Full of Sand* by *Headlund* - and yes we are THRILLED to be your trusted provider.

I've run a chainsaw for 45 years. An old saying: “Once you get the sawdust in your veins, it'll never come out.”
True
If you haven't got a name for the excavator yet, let me suggest _Katosaurus Rex._ K-Rex for short.
As my late wife used to say: "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.".
THANKS NATHAN your friend STINKY SHOE🇺🇸 👍.....Drinking a cup of OFFEY...
A coat of sanding sealer before the paint might do the trick. I've never tried it, but it's something to think about. See if anyone replies to my comment who has tried it.
Hmm... I wonder how much a hoe attachment for one of your other tractors would have cost instead of buying another complete unit? Just wondering.
Nathan you missed the warning required about chainsaws. You’re dead right. I started chainsawing a couple of years ago and it’s surprisingly therapeutic or something. Never regret it. But the warning mate… once you buy a chainsaw, you keep buying them. One isn’t enough. I already have four! 😂🤷🏻♂️
Good Video...But I know U Don't pick the Ad...I usually watch ads but was crazy...I guy walked up to table saw ran board threw with pusher board then went pick up other side and ran fingers threw saw...I thought OMG Nathan, but then he turned around then seen wasn't you, but was ad telling how many saw accidents there are!!!
Squirting log. That must be what they call "water-logged"!!🤣
Running a chain saw: I was about to say "It's a guy thing", but it's Not.
There are a Lot of ladies out there running chain saws and doing a good
job at whatever they use them for. Go Ladies. 😁✌🖖
Nathan, everything takes time and patience but in the long term the doors will remain intact for years to come excellent work and video 😮😊❤
Why do you leave logs to rot?
Hey Nathan. Are you using GoPros for most of this video? Your video quality is so good. I was wondering. I have two of those and I can never get quality that nice. Also if they’re GoPros what setting do you recommend to keep from getting that “curved” kinda distortion from the wide angle? I love your videos and look forward to them. Thanks
The Real Milk Paint Company has a tung oil that is awesome. I used the natural color on my walnut countertops and the dark color on all my hardwood flooring. It leaves a beautiful, waterproof matte finish with no shine.
Another day and another door! It will be interesting to see what becomes of those pine logs Nathan. And that burn pile will definitely be worthy of a video when it goes up.
Oh how right you are Nathan about owning a chainsaw. I do wish you would use a larger brush or roller - LOL. Stay safe.
What kind of chainsaw do you recommend? I like Steele?
Love your New machine, my friend but it’s so cool makes things a little bit easier huh about running chainsaws you’re right my dad taught me how to run them when I was young and there’s no better feeling
My friend I don’t want to sound like an old woman but that roll bar on the tractor is there for a purpose. I can't remember if the bar was bolted but with your engineering skills I know you could change it to pins
I'm gonna pass your coffee thru the cell phone.Ihope you like it.
I suggest you adjust the ROPS of that tractor where the top half is at a 90% angle to the bottom section. That would give some protection in a roll over.
If you don’t mind sharing, what did you do before tubing?
Why don’t you just go with Oil based paint???
Yes sir!! Bad to the bone chainsaw. Hard to beat the Husqvarna
You should have put a coat of primer on first Nathan. That paint is going to flake off, no matter how many coats of paint you put on it.
Why don't you put the rotted logs for the chickens to scratch around in?
I wonder how well that kind of paint would go through a sprayer.
How come you don't put your logs up on skids so they're not laying on the ground?
Grabbing my "offee and watching.
OFFEE
I see the WD40 is still working on the barn door rails.
Get yourself an old barn cat to keep the mice under control.
Oh my goodness I too feel the same way about using a chainsaw!
Engine drain oil works great and keep those carpenter bees out
A couple of hand fulls of moth balls help keep mice at bay.
Why did you not use a colour primer first for the door the undercoat.
Right there with you about running a chainsaw.
Love your videos, but, if you used a little mini roller, you could have knocked that out in about 5 minutes. Keep up the good work!
I need longer videos, that would have been too fast lol
Dryer sheets or mothballs will deter mice!
Would you say that the new tractor you got would be a good first tractor. I have 100 achers and will be doing alot of work in the woods and don't want a real big size frame tractor.
For sure. Great machine so far
Nathan I’m waiting for you to smash a camera with that excavator ! You have so many camera angles ! I like that machine , been watching videos on them .
You and me both!
Great colour Nathan
So many new toys, so little time!!
A sharp chainsaw is a joy to run.
You disappeared……..😳
Man Up! True story
Interesting. Milk paint with an outdoor sealer. Every time I mix something I have to figure out which ingredients are dry measure (flour, breadcrumbs, milk paint powder(?))and which are dry (water, bourbon, milk).
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
We’ll Mr. Out of the Woods I think it’s time for you to start milling and drying wood to build an equipment shed to park and protect all yer beautiful tractors, vehicles, and attachments! For some reason I don’t think you will do what Mike Morgan did and hire it erected commercially with posts made of 2x6’s screwed together. I know he’s thinking about building one in the spring. I’ll bet he will mill some/most of it but I’ll bet an RC & a Moonpie he won’t build it! Looks like yours gonna need to be 60-70 feet long for all those nice machines. Just a thought. You gotta know by now that thoughts and opinions are like buttholes, everybody’s got one!😊
I enjoy your posts. 👀👍😎🇺🇸
Lowes has that porch and floor paint....,,it use to be around 20 bucks a gal,,now i think it went way up...its super paint,,oil base i think..the girl said she could mix it to any color...course they got Latex to..i have not bought any since 2019..i no its high now.. those bees are here to..one year we had a showdown with them,, they would go around the house,,then zoom at me..about 6 of them,,yes they got brave... 60 friday and 61 sat Nathan.this will bring the stink bugs and lady bugs out...how cool is that..we will pay for it.its sad to hear Toby Keith passed,,cant get over it,,so young..be Careful man..
Getting back to your roots. Pun just came along . Back in your early days had more actual "chainsaw" content. Katos sure are helping with productivity. All good. since you have a video production , content providing business going too. Busy guy.
I see the WD40 is still working on the barn door slides.
Yes sir
Just an all round great video never used milk paint, heard of it before, I wonder if its like the white wash powder my Grandfather used - have to look into it. Have a great weekend Cheers! John Toccoa GA
Give your wife back her paintbrush. Lol. Love how you had all your “man toys” circling the log pile.
Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy your videos.
You might want to put that blade down when you're lifting those heavy logs. Give you some more stability.
What I've found, if the bark is leaving the trees ( in pine) you can mill some lumber out of it but the lumber will not have much strength. Be interested in what you find.
Nathan that door turned out really good. You get your final coat on it and it will look great! I sure like all your equipment, and I do love chainsaws. I’ve always liked them. Take care and have a good one!👍❤️
I like running a chainsaw too ,Nathan. The new tractor handles the logs pretty good . The paint color is nice . Will look good with three coats . Enjoy the Mexican food . See ya .
Oh, Nathan Da Vinci now? Surprised Momma Cat didn't saunter through and sign it for you! Thanks for the video
Building quite a pile out there. I'll bring hotdogs and marshmallows to the next bonfire.
When operating your excavator stationary, keep the blade on the ground. It gives extra stability 👍
I love running a chain saw but I hate painting.
me two buddy
I wonder if your hateful cat would like catnip in the new barn? Then maybe your mice would head for the hills the old-fashioned way.
😄👍
Hi Nathan, do you require any special liceses to operate your machinery? Over here in the UK we practically need a license for everything. All done to make money no other reason just greed.
On your own private property you can do as you please.
Ideal, I thought it was a case of did you get permission, then tear it down. typical UK do as your told.@@graemedalgleish8944
My experance with carpenter bees it doesn’t matter if its painted or not they burrow into the wood they basically destroyed the porch on my house
Get some Irish Spring Hand soap Bars and shave them into smaller peelings like you peel a carrot., put the shavings in containers around your machinery and that should help keep the mice out of your stuff.
we use it in our travel Trailor to keep mice out when we're camping in the woods.
hello Nathan & It's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Nathan Friends Randy
I used their Outdoor Defence oil on my deck stairs and handrail. They both face west and get the hottest sun.The handrail had been stained, but years of exposure had the wood with cracks & looked horrible so after a lot of sanding, applied the oil & very happy with result
Thanks for sharing with us Nathan, you'll be busy for a couple days, hope the bad weather gives you a break so you can get the rotted logs taken care of and you get the door all painted and ready to hang. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred.
,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you……
Thanks, will do!
@@OutoftheWoods0623 Thank you very mutch... have a nice Weekend.... see you….
No snow, you’re lucky, RB, Nova Scotia.
My thought for the day. "A true artist can take absolute garbage and make a masterpiece with it. It does not matter what the substance is, the true beauty is contained within."
Both milk paint and egg paint have been used for a few thousand years. The ancient Egyptians used egg paint on their temples and such. Thank you for sharing Nathan.
Mice in the barn! It’s always something, isn’t it…
mix some seven in to paint and it will stop the bee's. Take the paint can and tape it to a saws all blade and it will mix it well.
What side by side do you have?
Tracker Bass Pro has them, had it for few yeas now, good machine
just an idea i use all the time for boring bees i add 2 ounces of Wisdom in my paint or stain work like a charm
Another great video!
Thanks again!
What rodent repellant do you recommend. Thanks
Outside cross boards tend to collect water and rot the wood. Good to figure some way to keep the water out.
There's some good lighter knots in those rotten pine logs.
Great video!
Thanks!
I like that grapple you have on your tractor.
Really am enjoying all these videos 😎👍
Milk paint is what the old folks call white wash paint and really not meant to do full coverage paint as I understand it as it was explain to me by a pro painter.
That's not accurate information. White wash is lime. Milk paint is based on casein, a protein in milk that has been used (still is) in making glue.
Great video work!
Thank you!
Nice magic trick @ 11:35 ! John
That's a nice color you selected for the inside door. I'm curious to know why you didn't prime it before painting? There'd be less paint sucked into the wood for 1 thing. Just a thought.
Yep would have been better for sure 👍
@@OutoftheWoods0623 Maybe the flip side then :)
Love how you say “oil”.
The image is sharper and clearer than I remember it ever being...new camera?
Yes
The door looks well nice colour
🇺🇸🗽👮🚜
Hey Bill!
So, just won a free 7 day all expense paid vacation to Disney World for 4, wife, kids…
OR
I can go to Ace and spend $1,560 on a Stihl.
Not a tough decision. Somebody will make good use of that firewood. 😊
Hmm
I’ve never paid that much for a chainsaw 🤦♂️
You’re smarter than I am. Else I’d be on TH-cam and you’d be in trouble for buying a Stihl.
if you would have sprayed it, you would have been able to get down into those tight spaces..
