What I meant by SNSD and 2NE1 being rivals is they were the top two 2nd gen girl groups and they competed against each other for the #1 spot on music shows, charts and award shows on a regular basis for about four years from 2009 until 2NE1's forced hiatus in 2014 during the peak of their career then the subsequent group inactivity from 2014 until they were disbanded in late 2016.

They set the standard for female k pop groups
They definitely all get a line but it's definitely hard to distribute with 9 girls.
